Very nice little hotel. One block from the ocean & much quieter. Friendly staff & happy hour with free drinks from 7-8 PM!

The hotel was nice ...my only complaint is we had (3) total suitcases that were full/heavy and our drop off was at the door of the hotel but upon leaving u have to walk down the street and around the corner...that was crazy I feel if the shuttle picked us up at airport and dropped us off at the door of the hotel then why not pick us back up at the door...why make us travel with luggage down the street and around corner...don't make no sense.

The manager and front desk staff needs customer service training. Would not recommended this hotel to anyone. I paid for three nights. Knew that I would be arriving early the next day on the red-eye, did the courtesy of booking the night before, called in advance to confirm the reservation, and the late arrival. Only to arrive to find that they had a) cancelled my reservation as a no show b) sold the room I had been charged for and c) kept no record of the call to confirm the late arrival. All with an overly aggressive and unfriendly front desk clerk. Even more surprising, the email to the manager of this establishment, never gave the courtesy of responding. The room had an AC unit that went from sub freezer chiller to off. No working thermostat. A 1970s shower handle that was not functioning - spinning without catching to actually change the water temperature from ice cold and not only was the shower drain clogged and running slow, so was the sink.

My husband and I booked Hotel Chelsea for our trip to South Beach. When we arrived, the staff quickly checked us in, and we found our room to be what was expected. Nice, clean, and perfect for sleeping in every night. Hotel Chelsea was also where we spent a few hours of relaxing on our trip during the day. The staff was always very attentive, and the front desk staff was able to give us recommendations on where to go, depending on what we were looking for that day. Hotel Chelsea is part of a group of hotels, with free happy hour every day from 7-8pm. Our hotel did not offer the happy hour, but a hotel a five minute walk within the group, did. Our bartenders were always friendly, and helpful. As part of this group, you also get access to the hotels with pools. You must go to the front desk, and ask how to get there, because they are all above a neighboring building. We spent our last full day at Hotel Catalina’s pool. The pool was clean, relaxing, and provided good views of Collins Ave. This hotel is a mere two blocks from Ocean Ave, the beach, and many more things. It is worth the price.

The hotel doesnt have enough space to drop off de baggages, doesnt have parking, is too small and the peopleo who works there aren't nice, and doesnt help the tourist with anything. We were 2 ladies with 6 baggages and the guy in front desk we not busy but anyway didnt help us. He was sitting there looking me and my friend habing troibles with the heavy of the baggage but he didnt ask if we need some help. The space is too small, i didnt like this hotel. You get what you pay but in this case, is too much expensive for the amenities and the services of the hotel. And "the free shuttle" to the airport is not truth. You have to walk like 3 streets to pick up the bus. Is not a service from the hotel

We arrived and was told we won a "raffle" and had to walk to another hotel for an upgrade. The other hotel was no better, and if that was an upgrade I would hate to see what the other room looked like.

At 3pm no available rooms, dirty hotel where you can hear everything from another room. Shower no clean, I was worry to sleep in their beds. Staff not Profesional at all. Rooms downstairs just for real party people......

I got a great deal in very good location. Friendly staff

The Chelsea is for those who just need a simple place to stay that includes the necessary amenities at a great price. There is no pool but you can walk to the beach and parking is not a problem. The rooms are nice and the happy hour each evening is great

My wide went into labor and they would not refund our money or change the date for us. This was certainly says a lot about this hotel chain. DO NOT STAY HERE. THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE ANY CONSIDERATION FOR EMERGENCY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Staff were friendly... airport shuttle was convient... happy hour was fun...room was comfortable, the room also had a refrigerator... Cuban restaurant close to the hotel....

stayed here once before my recent trip & i'll be back .. super convenient!

Very clean hotel, but rooms are small. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Two blocks from the beach... great location!

I would of paid more to stay somewhere else, staff not friendly and room not the cleanest, toilet was def not clean.

It was my BIRTHDAY and it was the BEST I will BE back the staff was Great. Thanks for making my birthday Great. see u soon

My fiancee and I wanted to spend her birthday weekend in South Beach and this was the best priced hotel in the area. The hotel was hard to spot the first time but manageable. There is also no on-site parking. Meaning you'll either be stuck with on-street parking at 4+ an hour, garages that are blocks away from the hotel property or valet that charge a night. We opted for valet because we didn't have a choice. Don't really like paying so much extra when there really isn't another safer, cheaper option. But it's South Beach and just another property capitalizing on it. Entryway is easy to confuse for something else, no real way to discern if it's a hotel or a cafe from the main entrance. Walking in is nice, bar and seats off to the left and this fountain wall in front of you as you walk in as well as stairs and elevators. Front desk is off to the immediate right, walking in. Check-in was quick and we received our keys and wifi password. Rooms are pretty small and the bathroom is even smaller. Plenty of toiletries, towels and comforts though. It's very chic and the beds are extremely soft. Hallway carpets leading up to the room were a little lumpy, the smell of dank weed permeated some of the hallway and the walls are definitely thin as we could hear a lot of conversations, arguments and other bumps and sounds. Food service needs work. Bartender took way too long to check on us etc when there wasn't anyone else ordering. Everything else was fine though.

Musty smell and an older building. Great location and price though. Staff members were very nice. Got used to smell after awhile. Not horrible but not amazing either.

Nice but look better on pics Roos are small Beds are nice and comfortable I just feel the room was to small

Convenient to the beach, but not too close if you don't want the noise of south beach. Nice and chic décor. it has a mini fridge which is a must for me when staying in hotels. Great happy hour for guests and friendly staff.

We appreciate you taking the time to write a review Cent! I sincerely apologize that you had to walk to our sister property for the shuttle service. This is not a normal practice and I am quite sure there was an anomaly that would've forced you to walk over a block to get the shuttle. I apologize again that this was your experience. Please consider us again in the future.

Thank you for writing a review Maria! I apologize for the misunderstanding at check-in. You're right, your reservation was cancelled because we do not recall receiving a phone call from your secretary, for the late arrival confirmation. Upon your arrival, we quickly reinstated the reservation, as it was still available, performed another room inspection and checked you in immediately. I did not receive an email, but wanted to speak with you while you were on the property due to the issue you encountered. There were several attempts, but I'm sure you were busy during Art Basel conducting business. I know it was frustrating to arrive on property expecting a smooth check-in and this was not the case. Again, I apologize. I do hope you will consider us again, so we can show you a better stay.
