We always stay on Miami Beach when going on cruises, flying or meeting people from airport. Usually stay around 1700 Collins. Sometimes just one night. Thought we would try the former Casa Claridge, now Casa Faena. It turned out to be a nice surprise as its quieter and has a great restaurant just a block from hotel. Inside is lovely From 1927, I believe. Staff fabulous. I am so sorry can't remember names but everyone was wonderful. Rooms very large and airy with nice furnishings and lovely lounge. The barman was terrific and the young bellboy, very tall. Lovely young man. I would highly recommend this hotel

My wife and I recently stayed at Casa Faena as part of our honeymoon trip. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very quaint and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Adrian and Alejandro! You receive complementary champagne when you check in and we even received a complementary bottle of wine when they found out it was our honeymoon. The restaurant inside of the hotel is also good and the beach is only a few minute walk from the hotel. They also have complimentary chairs and umbrellas you can use at the beach. Thanks Casa Faena!

My friend and I needed a place to spend the night before our cruise, and we hoped to find someplace cute but stylish and fun to kick off our vacation. Casa Faena exceeded our expectations in every way! It's beautiful and impeccably detailed. We were driving into Miami, and I pulled up rather cluelessly in front of the hotel, but within seconds some very relaxed and gracious staff were helping us with our bags, checking in, and even had some very good tips about using public parking in Miami. (The hotel does offer valet, which might have been nice if we'd needed to go in and out, but there is also a large public lot across the street and our car was safely parked there all night for a mere $18.) Speaking of across the street, the Casa Faena's beach area is so close by and felt so luxurious and fun. When it's Florida-in-summer hot, any walking distance can seem too far, but the hotel's beachfront is truly an easy-peasy, flat, two-minute's stroll with walkways and restroom facilities on the way. Miami beach is famous for a reason, and the beautiful turquoise water was perfect for swimming. The Casa Faena's comfy loungers, towels, and umbrellas were cute and perfect for napping under after a swim. Loved all the red tassels! The staff at the hotel were so helpful with getting us a welcome glass of prosecco, helping with parking and the bags, and just generally offering friendly help without being obtrusive. A surprise knock at our door at about 4 pm was a staff member bringing delicious cookies, the perfect snack to tide us over until dinner. All complimentary and all simply nicer than anyone would expect it to be! (We walked two blocks over to a fun restaurant and bar, not too expensive for the area.) The room itself was so pretty. We loved our Jenny Lind beds, fluffy linens, the pretty ceramic tile sink, and all the thoughtful details. It truly felt like visiting a very beautiful home. After our night out, we relaxed on the pink velvet sofa in the lobby for awhile, and it seemed that all we could talk about all day was how pretty the hotel was. Casa Faena made me understand why Miami is such a popular destination. I've been thinking about returning, not just to bide my time before a cruise, but to enjoy Miami and such a beautiful hotel again. It's obvious that the people there really care about creating a good experience for guests. We couldn't believe the affordable price of the room considering all the thoughtfulness and all the extras in the experience. We wanted a piece of that vintage, art deco Miami glamour, and we certainly got it! Thank you, Casa Faena and your wonderful staff.

My boyfriend surprised me on a great quick getaway to Miami and picked this hotel. We had the balcony view and boy did it not disappoint. Clean spacious rooms and beautiful decor. It's also walking distances to multiple bars, restaurants, and the beach. Couldn't ask for more!

Loved the hotel! Amazing and warm welcome with complementary glass of champagne on arrival. Loved the hotel boutique style, great art around the property. As a guest you can also use the other hotel's sister facilities what was a plus. Many thanks to Mariana and Alejandro for making our first part of our honey moon so special. X

It is a nice hotel, clean and beautiful. In addition the personnel is really kind and worried about details. However the hotel has to problems really addressable the first one is the noise... the rooms are not properly sealed neither between the rooms or to the outside. As example you can ear your neighbors clearly and the noise of the street. The second issue is really easy to fix is the maintenance of the articles like shower and windows. The shower faucet was broken in my room (41)

This hotel has the feel and ambiance of the glory days of the Miami Beach hotels (in the 50's & 60's), but in a good way. Just walking around the hotel one can imagine how things were back in "the day". The rooms were clean, air conditioned, and well maintained. The restaurant had a limited menu, which is a good thing. Everything on the menu was prepared well, and service was very good. However, the real asset to this hotel is the staff. On the day we were to check out (and proceed to our ship) my wife became violently ill, and couldn't stand up, I went to the desk in the lobby for assistance. They showed me where the closest pharmacy was located, AND permitted us to remain in our room past checkout (which turned out to be several hours) until my wife's meds could take effect WITHOUT an additional charge for the room. This kind of compassion and service one doesn't see with the "cookie cutter" corporate type hotels. Next time we're in Miami would I stay there again? Yes.

Had an amazing time at Casa Faena. Service-pretty good! Friendly and on point. Rooms: simple but clean and comfortable Location: perfect location! Not far from south beach but in a much quieter area of the beach. You can rent a city bike in front of the hotel and get to south beach in 15min. There's nice bars and clubs around so you won't need to go far to go out at night. Facilities: Instagram worthy lobby! Gorgeous interiors, very artsy and cozy. Food: the onsite restaurant is pretty good! Overall I highly recommend this hotel! I will be back!

Called early morning to confirm reservation and inquire about an early check in. Was told I could drop off my luggage early. Upon arrival around noon, I was told they overbooked that night and I was "walked" to another hotel (Marriott) a few blocks away. Serves me right for booking the most affordable room via a third party site, I guess. Marriott didn't have a room ready for me until 6pm. The upside is that the Marriott gave me a room with a balcony and an ocean view (which is more than what I would have received had I not been bumped) and their staff was more apologetic and hospitable than Casa Faena's the front desk lady. The lobby's cute, though.

Stayed here for 3 nights booked after a cruise in December 2016 - so disappointing...not sure how you would describe this hotel ...definitely not 4 star ....receptionist was not the most helpful and seemed to disappear into an office so you had to get other staff to locate; weird and noisy lift access to the room; the "up-sale" of the hotel by staff was embarrassing; room had large shower bathroom/toilet ensuite but no sink as sink to wash your hands or brush teeth was in the room ..not very hygienic ...don't get the logic there! We were told our room was an upgrade; and although we prepaid through the cruise company we were then charged on our credit card - have managed to get reimbursed. I inadvertently left a favourite top in the room and despite 3 e-mails offering to pay for the postage...we got no reply. Have told the cruise company our disappointment with this hotel despite the staff trying so hard to promote ....just not worth the money.
