Nicest hotel staff I've ever encountered!! Seriously! Tammie at the front desk was extra-awesome! Everything was clean and orderly. The breakfast was nicer and better than most hotel continental breakfasts. Great hotel!! Will definitely stay again if I'm ever back in Memphis!
The property is currently undergoing a massive renovation. Even with this going on, the room was clean and quiet. The employees were extremely nice, in particular the woman running the breakfast was great. This was one of the few hotels where we stayed that offered gluten free bagels in the morning. It was a real treat. The only negative I have is that the pool did not appear to be very clean.
We spent two nights here. The staff could not be nicer and they were anxious to please. Our room was fine, but the hotel is very tired. There is paint peeling in spots and the smell of febreze permeates the halls. The breakfast was decent with several choices. We sat out by the pool- but did not swim. The hot tub was out of order. I probably would not stay here again.
This place is in dire need of refreshing. The rugs are old paint peeling uncertain aroma in some halls bathtub rusty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For the money would go elsewhere. There are plenty of other hotels in the be area
We stopped off here for only one night. When we arrived in the evening half the Fairfield sign was burned out. The front desk staff was very friendly so plus there. The room was clean but it felt like the hotel was just not being maintained. There was splotchy paint on the bathroom ceiling and mold growing in areas. This hotel was a very reasonable price and we were comfortable for the one night but I would consider other Marriotts in the area if staying a few nights.
The hotel needs updating. The rooms are dark. The room had blackout curtains but no privacy sheers, though there are rods and pulls for them. I don't know if there was construction or what, but the first time we turned on the tap and the tub, horrible rusty-looking water poured out. It cleared after running a bit. The hot tub is out of order. On the plus side, our room was ready when we got here; staff are friendly and helpful; breakfast was fine and the serving area quite clean.
Great value in Memphis for a one night stay while traveling through. About a 15 minute drive to downtown. Clean room, big bathroom, and an abundance of hot and cold breakfast items. Best of all, an incredibly friendly and helpful front desk staff, kudos to Tisha Lynn for her warm welcome and restaurant recommendations! Thanks! Recommend if you don't need the bells and whistles of a more expensive stay.
This hotel is in need of an update. The hotel advertises it is being renovated but the only work we saw was some workmen at the outdoor pool. It is close to I-240 so is only a few minutes to the airport and maybe 15 minutes to downtown Memphis. Except for the need for renovations, it's a good hotel in a convenient area.
I arrived late and the front door was locked but I was quickly buzzed in. The security felt good and the comfortable bed felt even better. The room I was in was clean but it is about time for some touch up on the small things. There was a little paint pealing in the bathroom (probably due to moisture). It is about time to put some reports around the room so things can be easily charged. I liked the fridge in the room and the breakfast was even better. I liked the friendly staff. They all said hello and smiled (except or the lady doing breakfast as she seemed quite busy).
The room was clean and spacious but for $122.11 a night, you would expect the phone and TV to work. You would also expect to not have ants running all over the room. The only plus for the place was that the staff was friendly. If you pay with cash, you will have another $100 added as a security.
