Okay stay, nice and responsive host, but the place itself isn’t the best. They’ve updated the picture on the ad now, but I was told there were “about 10 steps” to get to the apartment, there are 19! Which would have been nice to know because I had a swollen knee, was limping and had two super heavy suitcases. The apartment is quaint but it’s also very small and extremely hot. There’s a window AC and the hosts kindly brought me a box fan but it was still very uncomfortable, especially after cooking or showering because the bathroom window is the only one that opens, the rest are painted/sealed shut. The stove is why I picked the apartment, but be ware, it’s on a downward slope so your pots/pans will slide off if they’re not angled right. It’s a multi unit house, so there was also a roach issue, I reached out to the host and they offered to send roach spray, when I said they needed to bomb the place, they offered to send me one but it felt like something they should do, especially since I’d have to be out of the apartment for an extended amount of time too. There was also a power outage for 8 hours and I lost some of my groceries and had to sit in the car/at a restaurant for hours because it’s impossible to be in the apartment without AC, so that was frustrating but not their fault. The bathtub needs to be re-grouted because there’s mold in many places & honestly I dreaded having to shower each day, also the shower head is too low & not adjustable, so you’ll have to crouch.
