I was on my way to Nashville for the eclipse when I ran out of steam after 10 hours of driving. There are a number of moderate priced motels all grouped together on this East side of Memphis so I had a choice. It was late and I was tired. The clerk that checked me in was not up to talking too much which was fine with me. The room was bigger than I am use to at an Econo lodge and it had a real coffee maker that made more than one cup of coffee at a time. That was a plus. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. Breakfast was the usual cereal and waffles which I believe is an Econo lodge standard fare. All in all a good experience.

After leaving the awful Rodeway Inn that I just reviewed, it was getting late and we decided to stop at an Econo Lodge, based on previous positive experience. We were very wrong. Although the room was moderately clean, it was in poor shape. The crack in the large mirror over the sink area was held together by grey duct tape! The mattress should have been replaced some time ago. The friendly man at the desk who checked us in, also provided details about breakfast to be provided the following morning. The next morning after a very poor night's sleep on a bad mattress, I learned that there was absolutely nothing offered that I could eat! Although I follow a gluten free diet, previously this has not been a problem. However this time the only food offered was cheap high carb cereals and bread products, high in gluten. When my husband and I told the man behind the desk in the morning, what the man told us the previous evening, he said that the man was new and didn't know what he was talking about. We don't eat fast food, and wasted an hour until we found a Krogers grocery store where I could buy some fruit. After we returned home, I spent more than an hour and a half on the phone with a representative of Choice Hotels. Eventually I learned that the management at this hotel was contacted and given 72 hours to attempt to make amends with us. The attempt was never made.

When I entered in the lobby to register, my disappointment began. The man at the desk was not welcoming or friendly. The room was OK, but a little drab. The breakfast was a waste of time. i won't be returning.

near highway, location good, had all that we needed. Hotel desk people are nice, housekeeping needs a little work , but otherwise not bad. with being near the highway you really didn't hear the traffic to much considering you enter your room are all outside and other hotels in the area. parking was no problem.

This was kind of a mixed bag. The place is pretty dated and all the rooms open to the outside. The continental breakfast was pretty lackluster. No hot options and the bagels are a bot stale. The rooms themselves are nice, surprisingly so at the price point. Couch and upholstered chair in the basic room. Microwave and fridge. All in all, a decent value from a cheap place

Having the headache to dispute the charge when it was already paid for weeks prior! The staff was ridiculous! The night person over charged us, couldn't print out a receipt until morning! Then still over charges is, which from their definition " other tax" is more tax... just more tax- no other details... just more money you will pay regardless of the reservations that we made, printed out and supplied them! In all honesty other other tax was only. About $3, but $3 times 100 people... The breakfast wasn't good. Here's the thing, we support mom and pop business but if you are going to treat us - the customers - bad then don't advertise your business. What I expect- clean sheets room and bathroom, the breakfast was not good there was no spray for the waffle machine sO all the waffles came out ripped up. Here's the deal- I WOULD come back here and stay it's not that bad but the service and over charging leaves a bad taste in your mouth- not to mention the waffles and coffee. But with a little help, new training and more detailed on the billing this could be a great place!

Worse hotel ever, do not book this with Priceline and try to get a refund because the hotel with laugh at you and tell you no way they are going to offer a refund. If you appreciate money do not spend it at this hotel if you have to check out early because you will not see it again, and they do not value you as a customer. I travel all over the country for business and I never see things like this happening from a reputable hotel.

Things started out poorly due to confusion over whether mine was a prepaid reservation or not. We killed close to an hour and considerable frustration to resolve this matter. Once we finally got to our non-smoking king bed room we were pleasantly surprised. The furnishings weren't new but were clean and comfortable, The room was large and in addition to the bed and bath room area there was room for a love seat and an easy chair. While we didn't use the pool nor fitness area we surprised that a hotel in this price range even had one.

There is mold, holes in sheets, and stains galore. Also shower would not drain. We switched rooms three times. Stay anywhere else. Half tempted to stay in car, guy at front desk more interested in talking to friend on phone, and didn't believe us about room till shown.

Arrived late. (2:30 a.m.) First impression, parking shortage. No matter the vehicle, it is dangerous to park. Both due to the lot size and to the poor parking ability of the other guests. So we parked on the street. Upon arriving in the lobby we began an arduous journey of check-in. I guess the concept that we were arriving late was too complicated. 5 minutes of explanation, showing my reservation email and then reciting confirmation numbers. We were asked by the attendant if we wanted smoking or non. 1 of the 3 of us said non smoking (she's allergic). He responds. "We are out of non smoking". Wait, then why ask? Well, then a miracle! He has a non smoking room... for $10 more. So, you are going to make us pay more for that room (when you weren't going to rent it out anyway). Just sad. You weren't going to rent it out, you already got paid. Change your site from saying "non-smoking" to "non-smoking rooms available" Very misleading. Then, I get into my room. Come on! Decor that looks like you pilfered the set of "That 70's Show". Missing trim. Ripped carpet. Cigarette burns everywhere. Stains on walls made me cringe. I went in, took a shower and slept in my vehicle. Overall, this was a waste of money. This is supposed to be a "Choice" hotel. Well I do not, in any way, see this as a choice selection. If this is your absolute last possible option, take a nap at a rest area and a shower at Pilot.
