Red Lion Inn & Suites Tucson Downtown

Close to downtown Tucson

Stayed here to attend a college graduation. The outside of the motel seems kind of sketchy at first but the room and amenities are upgraded and nice. The television set in the room is huge (60 in). The showers do not have hot water that stays hot for long, so I had to keep my showers shorter. It seemed like it would go cool back to warm and then back to cool. My room had a fridge and microwave. There is no in room coffee maker. I did not see any small children during my 2 day stay and it doesn't appear kid friendly. The front desk staff were helpful. Breakfast is only served between 6 and 7am so it is not good for people who want to sleep in until 8am. The pool amenities have no shade or any lounge chairs so it does not seem inviting to the guests. They do have nice looking fitness and business center but I did not use those amenities. My room was in the rear location of the motel facing the desert foothills and running paths. Despise its closeness to the I-10 freeway, you cannot hear any noise coming from the freeway.

GLH Hotel

Never again

Groupon is always great, and I was attending an event at the GHL, so I decided to get a room there in advance= WRONG! There were roaches in our room, the garbage in our room was full there was a bag a chips shoved behind the night stand but we could see it when we turned on the light. The ceiling in the bathroom was very low and we could see all sorts hair on it. Housekeeping had ashed out a cigarette in the toilet and left it like that. The pool was loaded with bugs. The ac did not work well and this is Arizona, it was 109+.

Best Western InnSuites Tucson Foothills Hotel & Suites

Fantastic experience at the Best Western

Just spent 2 nights at the Best Western Inn in Oro Valley and was pleasantly surprised with everything here. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area was well-maintained and the breakfast/snack area right next to the pool was staffed with friendly employees and had a great daily selection of food, including hot food in the morning. The front desk staff was equally helpful and courteous and at the front lobby it was easy to print out our boarding passes for the flight we took the morning back. We were even given discount coupons for a return visit. I would highly recommend this hotel as everything about it exceeded our expectations.
