Best: Location is unbeatable Great: Rigas and welcome crew for accommodating our request to check-in much earlier than usual because of early flight arrival! We were able to sleep and rest from the very long trip. Welcome staff had been amazing. It made all the difference. Gracias tambien a Oscar who picked us up from the airport. He was super nice and welcoming. Room service was also excellent! Needs improvement: Housekeeping - They are nice and friendly but they tend to throw things that are left accidentally. For example, one of my luggage keys disappeared the second day. On the 6th day, I left my pajama underneath the bed covers and it also got thrown out. Bathroom slippers also got thrown out. Basic amenities such as qtips are missing or not supplied, only when requested. On one of the days we were in, we forgot to put the do not disturb sign and we were both using our headphone then suddenly what we assume was a manager entered our room! Fine, it was our mistake but there was no call later for apologies. This was a little distressing. Concierge - On our second day, this was not available until noon. When I managed to get a hold of them, I asked for tickets for the museums and I was told they don’t do it for guests. Fine by me as I can buy it online but there was no offer for further information. Lastly, I asked for help to book a restaurant. He called them and I heard him make a reservation but when we got there, the restaurant said I have no booking

Gorgeous property, friendly staff, good location, elegant hotel. I have stayed here many times and have truly enjoyed it. Abbie pricey, but you get a good value for it, with a property close To everything!
The wall for this hotel was very thin. I stayed with my 12 year-old son in an "Executive suite" on the 6th floor (which is not a big room by any standard. Around 4 AM to 6AM, you can hear the "action" from the next room. I did not expect this to be happened in a 5-star hotel. Needless to say, I request the room changes for the remaining of the stay
A very desirable location near the museum district, especially the art museums. Far enough away from the old city center that you don't live the experience outside your window or the hotel front door, but close enough for a short stroll to or from it. Beautiful building with its own history. Have not eaten at the restaurants nor used the health club but expect both to be top notch. Listed as 5 stars and I'm sure it is.
Beautiful property with excellent location to walk to all the interesting points like Museo del Prado, Parque del Retiro, Puerta de Alcala, Puerta del Sol, Cibeles Fountain, Neptuno Fountain. The service and cleanliness is excellent. The hotel features a gorgeous stained glass dome where breakfast is served. I truly recommend this hotel.
Great hotel. I'm a repeat guest and feel totally at home when I check in. The rooms are large, comfortable and the location is superb.
We arrived to a beautiful location, we were greeted and welcomed into an opulent lobby. The service at the hotel matched the beauty. The rooms are lovely and nicely appointed Everyone was friendly and highly accommodating. Staff willing to give recommendations and ensure your stay is excellent. Wonderful value and highly recommended.
Bed was a wee bit uncomfortable. Mattress needs replacing. Wish more interesting artisanal foods were introduced at the breakfast brunch.
Loved my stay here. Very well situated hotel with great service and amenities. Wonderful staff always ready to assist. Always 2 concierges ready to assist with reservations and anything else pertaining to your stay. The nightly rate was very reasonable through Orbitz but expect to pay a higher price for food/drink in hotel restaurant and bar. Will definitely stay there again in future.

Horrible experience with customer service after my flight got cancelled on the way to Spain. I called to change my reservation as soon as I found out. The customer service agent at the hotel told me "its not our problem your flight got cancelled", and she refused to not charge me for our first scheduled night because it was less than 24 hours notice (it was 22 hours). I required 2 hours of many calls to the corporate office in the US before they refunded my money for the night I missed. I would expect better service from a high end hotel especially since I was still planning on keeping my reservation at the hotel for the rest of my time in Madrid.
