A hotel with excellent location - but a very boring looking hotel inside with grey colors and sterile decoration. Breakfast was anyway excellent and versatile, the best part of my stay in that hotel. A little bit could be revamp the atmosphere, though it was clean.

I often stay here, when in Madrid. The location is ideal, in walking distance to the heart of the city, be it Salamanca, Tribunal or Chueca. The house is is a quieter and nicer neighbourhood, located in a wonderfully restored old mansion. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are an absolute treat. Always happy to be back.

After spending a week on a business trip in a fancy hotel I transferred to the NH for a weekend of exploring the city. What a cute little hotel, nice and quiet and super affordable. Gorgeous from the outside and very pleasant inside, the stained glass windows and spiral staircase added to the exterior design. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, desk space, TV and wardrobe space. Some of the furniture is IKEA based but perfectly adequate, clean and updated the decor. Bathroom was clean, shower over a bath, not ultra modern but by no means dated or in disrepair. Only downside was the large frosted window directly over the toilet which made me feel a bit exposed wherever I was in the bathroom. Location is excellent, the area is quiet but you're yards from Alonso Martinez Metro which is a main connecting station so you can whizz around the city. It's also a very short walk to Colon which has a fancy shopping street (Serrano), museums and points of interest for photography - it's also where you can pick up the city bus tours which I highly recommend. Buy a weekend ticket so you can hop on/off as you please. If you want to sample a more traditional atmosphere, you can take a short walk to park plaza de Olavide which has a selection of tapas bars. It felt like a traditional plaza, a community hub where children play in the park while parents, neighbours and friends socialised long into the evening. I didn't try the breakfast. I asked for a late checkout, they kindly gave me an hour complimentary and I opted for a further hour delay which was just 10 euros. Highly recommend for a comfortable and affordable weekend in Madrid, somewhere quiet but still super central - giving you the best of tourist Madrid and traditional Madrid.

Stayed one night for business, with breakfast. The staff at Reception were pleasant and efficient and though the downstairs area is a slight warren there is some space to sit and wait for people, with wifi and air con - it was very hot outside. My room was narrow, with windows onto an internal courtyard and had a cramped, dark quality. Pleasantly furnished and nice bathroom with the usual amenities. Good comfortable bed and perfect air con. No noise, not too cold or patchy - the best! Breakfast in a narrow and slightly soulless ground floor room with bars, shutters and blinds on the windows. Plenty of fresh fruit, pastries and savouries. Eggs to order if required. Only on check out did I notice a gym - no mention of it in the room service guide - so I can't say if it was any good though the photo looked minimal. The site is central though quiet with bars and cafes a couple of minutes away and a 10 minute stroll to museums and sights.

I had a wonderful started this morning, before an always complete breakfast. I enjoyed a morning coffee and after some exercises . It looked a pretty new gym. Thanks NH!again u saved my day. I am Gonna come back for sure.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, so close to the city center and all the main amenities that Madrid can offer (e.g. Prado Museum, Parque del Retiro). The rooms are big and clean, beds very comfortable and bathroom very clean and with an excellent shower. The hotel staff was very polite and offering an excellent service. I also enjoyed the gym, this facility is very important for me as part of my travelling. I will definitely stay again in this hotel when I come back to Madrid.

This is my first time staying at this hotel and my experience was excellent. One thing that i really loved is the environment. it is always clean and smell really nice. There was this nice sense i always smell either leaving the hotel or coming in. it was really awesome smell. i really did not have any complain at all and everything was really excellent. The staffs were super nice and helpfull. Anytime i needed something or even if i don't need anything they always ask you, which is "i like that". All what i can say Job to all the staff especially the front desk people. "Love this Hotel". Just want to say, that i will come back again as a vacation.

Stayed for 10 nights and had an excellent time. Very well situated, big enough rooms, great with both shower and bathtub when you're two sharing. Great placement just a walk from Parc Retiro, downtown and a lot more. Good tapas-restos just nearby! Will be back!

This 3 Star hotel is centrally located - close to shopping, museums, galleries and the El Retiro park. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms have robes, slippers, soap, shampoo, hairdryer etc. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Downside is the fact that the walls are so paper thin that you can even hear clothes being hung next door, there is considerable traffic noise and breakfast is 16.95 euros per person.

This hotel was perfect for my friend and myself, who visited the city as tourists for the first time to explore Madrid. We managed to walk everywhere from the location, which felt safe and was easily accessible to a wide range of bars and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and booked our taxi to the airport, helped us with bags and pointed out the best places to visit on a map. Miguel and Luis deserve a special mention. The hotel is tastefully decorated, modern and perfectly clean. For the price we paid, it represented excellent value for money. I would definitely go back.
