Very close to the airport and excellent shuttle service from airport and back. Just line up outside and the small bus will appear regularly. Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not a huge star place by any means but good for a one night stop if you are between planes. It has coffee bar, small lounge area and a breakfast area. The rooms are quite small but adequate although the floor in our room (214) squeaked badly no matter where we trod. There are actually some good restaurants in the town centre which is an easy walk. Nice square with fountain to watch the evening local gatherings. Supermarket next door to hotel. All in all budget but quite good - forgot to mention the small business area where it is possible to print out boarding passes etc. Also free wifi throughout.
This hotel was much larger than we expected. We arrived very late at night and the hotel lobby was still bustling. The bar is open 24 hours and you can order some small plates through the bar. The rooms are a little bare, but everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is not included in the room price, but there is a moderately priced breakfast buffet in the lobby.
A great and clean property that caters to families. We were disappointed to find there was no luggage carts to help with all our luggage on arrival and departure, despite numerous requests to the front desk to find one. We had quite a bit of luggage and with a two year old running circles around us, the very least we would expect a front desk personnel would have helped us bring our bags up to the room. No such assistance, only to help bring luggage from the sidewalk where our taxi dropped us off and to watch our luggage intermittently as we departed. Not ideal when some of the most professional thieves are located in Madrid! The welcome however was pleasant, the restaurant had quick and tasty food. The beds were very comfortable and our 2.5 year old daughter loved having the pull down toddler bed to herself. A great idea!
Pleasant hotel very pleasant receptionist nice bar & restaurant, if staying longer than one night would prefer to be closer to the city, we did go for a a walk to but couldn't find anywhere for a drink and relax so opted for the hotel. as a stop over it was handy for train /airport
I needed a convenient hotel near to the airport with shuttle bus facility and this fitted the criteria. It was recommended to me by a friend who hast stayed here numerous times. The shuttle bus is located in the airport bus station and takes approx 25 mins to the hotel. Checking in was quick and the staff are efficient. The reception area also has a bar and small lounge area with a large flat screen tv. The room was clean and the shower good. It was sparsely furnished and would not suit a family with their luggage. For a couple or single person it would be fine The breakfast room is to the side of the reception and meals can be purchased separately. If visiting Madrid on a short stay I would definitely consider staying here again.
Good, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Would have liked some gluten free bread or cereal but other options to eat. Coffee needs improvement- first time not having option of a late or cuppaccino on a machine so thought the minimal options must be good. Advice to change the coffee brand used ...was not the best. Staff were fantastic including the hard working shuttle bus drivers who are swamped by clients.
Fresh, updated, practical hotel in a ‘village’ neighbourhood with lots of nearby eating options, a regular subway connection to the city centre and super-friendly staff. A good vibe throughout, new comfy beds and an excellent breakfast for the (low) price. It’s budget but not shabby and definitely a good choice if you’re looking for a bed near the airport with quick access to the city if you want the option.
Siutated in Barajas town, and close to plenty of bars and restaurants: It´s a fairly typical Ibis, with low price clean minimal facilties. Free shuttle bus to and from the airport gets very busy. Bus and metro access to city centre.
My partner and I were in Spain last June and July and we stayed at the Ibis Barajas twice. Two nights in late June and another two nights in mid July. We found it to be of very good value. We had almost given up on visiting Madrid given the expensive hotel room prices until we found this IBIS. Upon arrival at the airport on two separate occasions, we were picked up by the shuttle and taken to the hotel. On the days of our checkout, we were taken back to the airport for our outbound flights. Waiting time was short. It wasn't the nicest nor the biggest IBIS we had stayed in, but it certainly did the job just fine. The bed was comfy and the sheets crisp and clean. The air conditioning unit worked well and we were happy it did! It was sooo hot in Madrid then. We were even allowed to check in early. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. One disadvantage of this hotel is its location. Barajas is a peaceful and quiet little town but it is far from the city center. However, a metro station is nearby. A 20 minute leisurely walk from the hotel. Travel time from here to Sol is 40 minutes. . Overall, the hotel is a bargain. I highly recommend it and we wouldn't mind staying here again next year when we return to Madrid!
This hotel is only a short hop from the airport and is ideally priced if you arrive late and just need somewhere to crash before heading off away from Madrid. We drove but there is a regular shuttle too. Ibis has always been reliable and this hotel appears well run. Lifts appear to be a bit difficult to work and confounded a number of guests other than me trying to use it but one soon gets the knack!
