Hotel ibis Madrid Aeropuerto Barajas2.0 out of 5.0

An affordable hotel with silent rooms in close proximity to Barajas Airport. Positive thing was the full breakfast which nowadays is a rarity 🤘. Only lack of staff and check-in procedures are painfully slow - therefore I suggest you to check out the day before you are leaving.
The family Room was small but clean and comfortable. The supermarket Hiber was in the next door. 9:00-21:00 I sent a message about the place of the airport shuttle bus from Booking com but no reply. The bus was convenient but too small, only 18 people (the driver said) or 15 people (the staff said). Once there were already 3 people so must wait earlier.
great service, great staff, good ambiance, good value for money. good quality bed, good quality breakfast. need sometimes to await the shuttle - and no shuttle to t he airport before 6:00 AM nice restaurant with simple but ood food
We chose the ibis aero Puerto because it was close to the airport and had a free shuttle. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. There is a bar next to registration with reasonably priced wine. Our room was average sized, but the shower was awesome. Bed was comfortable. We paid 8 euros each for breakfast, and it was simple but good. Fruit, Spanish tortilla, ham, 3 cheeses, sweet rolls, awesome bread, and unlimited coffee. The shuttle was on time, but ibis is the last stop, so it was almost full. If you do not use the shuttle, the airport taxi is 20 euros, which is the posted minimum for airport fares. We would stay here again.
The room was clean and the shower was fantastic. It was very quite for being so close to the airport. We had a 6:25 flight and was not able to use the shuttle because it did not leave eariy enough. We were told by the girl at the desk it would cost 15 euros for a taxi and that there was no need to arrange one ahead of time. This was not the case. It was 20 euros and another staff person made sure there was a cab in the morning. One of the reasons we picked this hotel was because of the shuttle and the cost of the taxi was something we didn't figure in. This is not the hotel's fault but they might want to education their staff about transportation to the airport.
Should have known better than book this hotel. I gave it three stars for the free shuttle and the reasonably comfy bed. It's basically a travel lodge in Spain to be honest. No safe in the room. Only 3 English tv channels (all American news). No hot breakfast option. Room is basically a plastic shell and the bathroom looked like it was fitted by a blind man. A few cafes and a Macdonalds outside . Basically a bar/restaurant area set in reception. Coming back through Madrid on return leg from Miami and will pay the extra 30€ for the Hilton. If you want a very cheap option with no facilities then book it. It's not the worst by a long way and does a job but lacking in a lot of areas.
Great place very close to Madrid-Barajas. Quiet in spite of closeness to airport. Shuttle bus. Nice and clean room. Friendly staff. Excellent self service breakfast with lots of choices. Will definitely go back.
The Ibis met our needs nicely. A place to crash overnight to catch a flight out of Madrid in the morning. Nothing fancy, just a good bed and a nice shower! The price was right. The restaurant staff went out of its way to get some late evening food on a tray to take to our room.
Most of Ibis hotels are well managed, elegant , and convenient for business/leisure travelers. Cristina at the front desk made my day with her welcoming smile, she was eager to accommodate me with a clean room since I had an early arrival, provided me with electrical adapter guided me to a nice restaurant in the area. when I go back to Madrid, I will choose this location again
We had a 8AM flight & the metro only starts at 6:05AM, so we decided to stay in Ibis for the convenience. Room was basic but clean & in good condition. Spacious bathroom with strong hot shower. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle to & from all terminals. On our departure day, even though we lined up early for the first shuttle to terminal, the shutttle couldn't accommodate all. So the hotel paid for a taxi to take 4 passengers (2 of us + 2 other guests) to our terminal. That was highly appreciated. Would stay here again if there is a need.
