Excellent hotel, excellent breakfast, nice pool. Friendly staff. Great location. Bus stations available, taxis available. Restaurants and store available near to the hotel. Rooms with great space. Nice neighborhood.
Exactly right place between airport and Retiro park, Prado and other museums. Able to ride metro to Retiro park, botanical gardens and art galleries then head back to hotel pool to cool off. Flamenco la quimera was excellent and is in walking distance. Staff were helpful. Third nh hotel I have stayed in, others were Córdoba and Pisa and I would definitely recommend them.
We booked this hotel for our first night in Spain and we weren't disappointed. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The hotel staff was polite, good humored, and service oriented. The hotel is close to public transportation in a neighborhood just a street or two away from main roads. We would definitely stay here again!
Our family enjoyed our first trip to Spain! The staff was polite and helpful. During our stay, one of my children lost a screw for their eye glasses and staff members graciously helped fix them! The breakfast was very good and the rooms were clean. Our only complaint would have to be the noise that carried through the walls at night. Overall, we thought it was an accommodating hotel that served our needs very well.
The hotel is closed to the ring road, and the subway, it's quiet and rooms are nice (not big). The service is efficient, fast check-in and check-out, staff is polite. Having that the atmosphere is not that great.
Easy location to get to. stayed here for 3 nights. really reasonable. friendly staff and lovely restaurant with lovely food. waitress' english wasnt too great but we got by. I mean we are in Spain after all. Only a short was to the subway. Bedrooms are spacious and very clean and modern. Stayed here in April 2016.
The completely abysmal internet connection con thing they have going on, is a huge let down. I forgot to turn on my roaming before leaving home, so had to rely on hotel's own wifi. Useless! Worse than useless. Their free option doesn't work at all (highest speed connection I managed was 0.16Mbs but mostly it was stuck at 0). I then paid 9.90 euro for their full option, which basically at best doubled the speed to 0.30/Mbs down and a fraction higher for up, with zero connection most of the time. Basically spent the evening with no internet. When you are here for business... Not good. The room was very noisy - given the massive double glazing. Turns out that they have used a funny (i think it is hollow) frame for the double glazing..., so all the noise of the street passes through that virtually like the window was open. I checked for ventilations etc... No. It's not me, it's them. And I am on the 5th floor! The overall look and feel is nice, but furniture is definitely cheap and feels flimsy. The bar and restaurants were deserted. I went to the bar, and there was not a soul there - especially noticing the lack of staff. Location is not great unless you are here for business for a company near by - but I guess they can't help that. I asked for an iron and ironing board at reception, which made it to my room super quickly. I was happy with that. All in all, a let down. I will not be coming back here.
Positives - very good staff, very clean, excellent breakfast, taxis always readily available. Negatives - not a convenient location & without a selection of local restaurants. Small room without coffee making facilities. Noisy shutting of doors due to a lack of a decent door closure hinge. Poor wi-fi reception.
I spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel during the last weekend (June 16-19). I was on an official trip extended over the weekend. My son has travelled with me. It was a very nice contrast to our previous weekend experience while staying in a Mercure Hotel at Paddington in London, UK. Here we enjoyed every moment from the wonderful breakfast to the afternoon chill at the pool. Great environment, extremely nice and helpful staff. Very convenient for metro lines 2 and 5, lies very close to the large arena Plaza de Toros de las Ventas. It is really worth staying here, if you do not like the buzz of the city, however all major sights of interests are still easily accessible on foot, by taxi or metro. The room and the bathroom were spacious and immaculate, the AC worked just too well, the minibar was full, however we never had anything from there. The beds were great, we can only speak in superlatives of our stay. Breakfast is a miracle! There is a huge selection of sweet and savoury dishes, freshly squeezed fruit juices, nice coffee. Yoghurt, cereals, fresh fruits are just as available as the small sandwiches (bocadillos :-) ) or the delicious Spanish omelett. My hotel bill was covered by a Spanish company, however I was mistakenly charged for breakfast upon check-out. The case was soon clarified and I have already received a written apology from the hotel. This is a truly pro-customer attitude and I am very content and happy with our stay. I would definitey recommend it to others and would definitely come back for more :-) Muchas gracias!
I dropped by here to meet a colleague. The bar area is not cozy for an informal meeting and I had to keep looking for bar staff to take an order. It offer convenient conference facilities. I can't comment on the rooms as have not stayed overnight
