We stayed for two nights. The staff was friendly enough, but there was excessive noise coming from above. We thought we were on the top floor when we got the 6th floor. There was actually a space right above us. We are not normally complainers, but there were people yelling and carrying on through the late hours. We ignored it the first night, but called the front desk about 11pm the second night. They said they would take care of it, but it continued and got worse. The made were yelling all night and sounded like they were dragging furniture across the floor all night. It is a shame noise ruined such a great living space and well equipped facility.
If you are looking for a grand lobby and big hotel amenities, LS is not for you. If you are looking, spacious and nicely appointed rooms in a great spot, LS is a good pick. Hotel is perfectly situated in central Madrid while being somewhat removed from the tourist dense areas and close to the upscale (but seemingly local) Salamanca neighborhood. Our suite was surprisingly large with high quality bathrooms. We would certainly return to this highly functional and relaxing hotel.
My wife and I and a friend were visiting Spain during the first part of December 2017. I had come across this listing and was intrigued with staying in a self contained apartment rather than just a hotel room, but was unsure if this would be a nice place to use during our visit to Madrid as a home for 4 days. Well this place is just as if you were at your home with a very good buffet breakfast prepared for you, a extremely clean apartment that was much more spacious than a hotel, and that was in walking distance to most of the major attractions we wanted to see in Madrid. The apartment is well decorated with all the utensils needed, daily maid service, and in suite washer (no dryer), but has a hanging line in one of the bathrooms above the tub. You also have outstanding concierges that clearly know the area for tourists, that will assist you in directions to sightseeing, museums, restaurants, day trips out of the city, or seemingly anything you might want to do. Their english is excellent and will help you with your needs. This was truly like a bed and breakfast/hotel that was as close to home as you could ask for while in Madrid. You will be given one dishwashing soap packet and one washing machine soap packet, only. So if you desire more they will supply you with additional at a charge of one Euro each or you can bring your own. The entrance is unassuming on main through fair that makes getting around town very easy. The front desk area is the only entrance in and out of the dwelling. The door is locked after 10 PM and is electronically opened if the concierge is not present. I felt this gave us another level of security, although I never felt in danger at anytime while in Madrid. I would like to thank both front desk concierges for their help and detailed explanations of sites we wanted to see. They made sure we had transportation when we needed it (by cab) and made dinner reservations for us when needed. You will love this place once you visited. When we head back to Madrid we will stay here again. I hope this review will help you when deciding on a place in Madrid! Have fun!
If you want to stay in a self contained, clean, extremely spacious motel close to everything this is the place to be. My Wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. Two bathrooms a fully equipped kitchen and great restaurants down stairs. Uber are great and arrive within minutes of booking. Convenient and cheap.
Stayed here for 3 nights. The reception staff....two Spanish guys were amazing with assistance, friendly, spoke english and provided advice of what is needed to get around. The suites are located in a great location and are very comfortable. Overall the staff and hotel are the best....Thankyou everyone here.
The apartment was huge. Location was convenient and the facilities were good. There is an elevator. We only stayed 2 nights. Probably more appropriate for someone who is staying for a week or more. Has a full kitchen.
We booked for 2 rooms and got a luxury suite. Rooms were very spacious and the toilets too. The hotel is not very clean. Breakfast does not include lot of variety by the food quality is good. The breakfast area is very sweet having a look on what used to be the communication building. Staff are very welcoming and helpful.
My husband and I recently visited Madrid with our teenaged kids (16 & 17). We flew in from Barcelona to Madrid and arrived fairly early in the morning. The room wasn't quite ready but Luis (the concierge) was welcoming and so nice. He offered to hold our bags and email us as soon the room was ready. Since we were walking distance to the city center, we walked around, taking in the sites. By the time we were done with lunch, our room was ready and our luggage had been moved to our room while we were out. The room was very spacious with 2 equal sized bedrooms, comfortable bedding and great air conditioning. We had an excellent night's sleep followed by a lovely breakfast on the terrace (additional charge), with great views. The only down side for us was the fact that we had the handicap room so the bathroom didn't have a shower door or curtain. Every time one of took a shower, the water would go all over the bathroom floor. It was a weird design. Overall it was a great stay, and great staff.
Gave us everything we needed with 2 bedrooms well equipped kitchen and lounge. Mixed in with private apartments so other than a violin being played rather badly during late mornings no issues. Location was ideal for metro, buses taxi and restaurants. Would return here again.
We were really excited to stay at the luxury suites on our honeymoon because of its fabulous reviews and pictures of the roof terrace. It was also the only hotel on our trip with a washing machine and we had planned to do some washing here as well. 3 days before our stay the hotel emailed our agent and said they could no longer accommodate us and would put us in a hotel down the road. No plausible explanation for this was given as nothing on the website indicated it was closed. Likely overbooked. The alternative hotel had no washing machine, no rooftop terrace and was nowhere near as nice. We explained it was our honeymoon and tried to ask if we could go somewhere else with like facilities or have a different room but were told it was that hotel or a refund. We took the refund.
