Staying here at the moment. Paid extra £40 for deluxe room rather then economy. Don't even get tea/coffee facilities in the room and 300ml bottle of water €2.50? I'd expext those things in the room in a 4 star hotel.
Stayed here on our first visit to Madrid. The rooms were welcoming as were the staff. No request was any problem. They booked us a table to see flamco and ordered taxis which arrived on time. The breakfast was lovely giving a good choice of hot and cold buffet. This hotel is near many attractions and is a good choice. Would definately stay again.
Central location, clean and fully equipped, some reception colleagues are friendly, not all of them. Face streets, cannot open windows due to noise. If the room is near lobby entry or cleaning room, you could suffer from noise, too. WIFI is the killer. Very poor wifi connection...I got wifi premium, while it is still too weak to allow me work properly (stressed out of losing your work due to inconsistent wifi connection). If you are traveling for fun, then the hotel is good enough. If you are for business trip and need good wifi, then forget about it.
Super location, and I am a light sleeper and surprised that there was not that much noise, booked a deluxe with window :-) as I understand there is low rate with No window..... was in 102 at the street, not a huge room but enough for me and wife who arrived later to enjoy our weekend between meetings... cons location location and location clean nice staff low noice AC breakfast as expected Con I am not a star dude but 4 star is perhaps a bit overreatet with no complain at all all in all happy with the stay and if I go to Madrid again this will be my first choice
Loved everything about this hotel. It's location is near city center, so lots of great places nearby, all within an easy walk. The rooms are beautifully appointed in a contemporary decor, with a mini-bar and a large, super fabulous soaker tub!! Check-in and check-out were a pleasant breeze. And the place smells fantastic! I bought a bottle of the room scent (for sale at the front desk) they use. It's clean and crisp and oh-so lovely. The bar is small but nice; great drinks. Their buffet breakfast was fantastic!! It was so good, we just wanted to stay and keep eating all morning. Everything was fresh and the coffee options will make the pickiest of you happy. There is a little trick to the lights, however, of which I was previously unfamiliar. You have to put your key card in the the slot just inside the door to activate the lights in the room. Saves on energy consumption, so it's fantastic, but I had to text someone to figure out how to get them to work.
As mentioned by other reviews, the location is one of the best in Madrid. Felt very safe walking around, even in the evening. However, the front desk staff was cold because I had booked through a discount website. They gave me a bad room; it smelled horrible - very moldy - and when I opened the window to let out the smell, it opened onto a stairwell - as in, directly onto a set of steps, so that anyone in the stairwell could have stepped right into the room. When I went back down to complain, they said, "You got an economy rate!" I said, "Does that come with a bad smell?" They agreed to switch rooms, but then sadly, the second room smelled the same; not as bad, but still very moldy. The linens were clean, as was the bathroom. The smell came from the walls and floor, and maybe can't be fixed in an old hotel.
It was a small, clean hotel near city center. It was a small, clean hotel near city center.T op location for the main museums and the old part of Madrid - we walked everywhere! Very good and healthy breakfast, very helpful staff.
This hotel was just delightful. I enjoyed everything about it. Decor is tasteful, staff very helpful and breakfast fabulous. I stayed one night as i had to shift from another hotel, but I wish I had found this place earlier.
As the name of the hotel suggests - the location was fantastic! During our stay in Madrid we were able to walk everywhere. The Prado museum was easily reached by foot and there were many restaurants and bars within close walking distance and there is a small convenience store on the street opposite to buy water and snacks if necessary. The hotel itself was very clean and modern with fresh décor. The only criticism that I had (albeit very small) was that the bathroom only had a frosted glass door and was not fully private, although this didn't really pose much of an issue in all honesty. The staff were friendly and the reception was always calm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a city break in Madrid!
Good location, great serserv from front desk personnel, clean and comfortable room. Good English speakers, willing to help and guide. My room was very quiet and the bed very comfortable. Rooms very clean.
