This hotel is so beautiful and luxurious but we were there in early spring when it was warm in the hotel but not warm enough outside for air conditioning. Our choice was to swelter or sleep with the window open and it was noisy all night long out on the streets between the garbage trucks, delivery trucks and late night partiers. You are in the heart of town and the staff are so helpful. But ask for a room away from the street noise-- or go when you can leave the sound proof windows closed. Can't comment on the restaurant because we chose to eat on the plazas every night.

Very convienent, close to shopping and sight seeing. Hotel condition is pretty good.

The room is very nice, with very good facilities and very large by European standards. The hotel itself seems a bit tired. Cracks in some of the main tiles, a carpet on our floor that could use a steam cleaning. Also the hotel staff would burst in on us presenting us with bottles of water. This happened twice, the last one near 10 PM. It made us suspicious. The desk staff was fine: efficient. The breakfast at 18 euros was exorbitant compared to other 4 star hotels on the Gran Via. We much preferred the Hotel Atlantico which we also booked through Orbitz.

Staff were helpful but not particularly friendly, professional but cold for Spanish standards, perhaps tired of way too many demanding or rude tourists. Who knows? The hotel is probably the safest downtown but badly needs restoration of rooms. Staff, as said before, extremely helpful. Great location, expensive if you order breakfast or such, but convenient, safe, clean and comfortable for the area.

I stayed in this hotel twice during my trip. First time, my room was horrible, old and filthy. Second time, I stayed there because it was already prepaid, I demanded a room in the first floor because they have about 10 rooms renovated there, however, it was very disappointing.

This hotel is centrally located with a very friendly service-oriented staff. I could not ask for a better experience considering how great a deal I got on the price. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody traveling to Madrid.

The hotel is rated 4 Star. But for me, the hotel is over rated. I will rate this hotel a 3 Star. During night till midnight, you can hear sound around hallways. Do not choose a room near the street side. It's noisy. Bed is hard. It is a clean hotel but old. Hotel people are not that friendly except Victor (Concierge) and the house keeping. Hotel check in personnels need customer improvements, lack courtessy.

We had an 18 hr. layover in Madrid and wanted to stay in the city instead of the airport. This was the second time we had done this in the last 3 years. We stayed here the first time and enjoyed it so much, we booked again. Lots of places to eat and walk about in the area, Ask for the Museo de Jamon, a ham bar within walking distance.

We have been using this hotel for many years. Its location is very convenient because you're in the center of town, close to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Gran Via, metro station, shopping, etc. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Staff members are helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel.

This was the second time we had a long layover in Madrid, so both times we booked a room in the central part of the city to enjoy our stay. It's about a 30 minute taxi ride from the airport if there's no traffic (30 Euros flat fee each way). I was fortunate to find Liabeny on our first stay in 2012. It is a great place to get out into the city for an evening. Plenty of places to eat and drink in walking distance. Near a great ham bar, Museo del Jamon. We enjoyed our first stay so much, we booked it for our second time through. Check in was easy, and because the hotel wasn't full on our Thursday, single night stay, we were upgraded to a suite. When we go back to spend more time in Madrid, we'll be using Liabeny.

The locaion is excellent, but breakfast too expensive and wi fi not reliable. I went to Rodilla that for 8 euros has good breakfast for two

The location was central. The desk folks were extremely helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.

The location near the center of Madrid was very convenient. The staff was extremely responsive and helpful. The food at the hotel restaurant was very flavorful and plentiful.

Hotel was in perfect walking distance to everything. Excellent restaurant and customer service. I refered 4 couples there - and they loved it. I would definately stay there again.

This hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Gran Via and the Puerta del Sol. It's a short taxi ride to the major museums. The rooms are very clean and large by European standards, the staff speaks English, are helpful and the security is tight. It's was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel was fabulous.location couldn't be better.Staff was excellent. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

If you want a hotel that's clean, great location and good value, this is the place.
