Very comfortable, clean and modern hotel. Staff very friendly. Breakfast perfect. Near to Metro station and to Bus line 2. Roms are are conditioned and the beds are vey comfortable. Around the hotel may be found, as everywhere in Madrid, nice bars.
Our trip to Spain included spending a few days in Madrid visiting family. The Leonardo was very convenient for our needs. Friendly staff, well stocked continental breakfast, the hotel caters to a mix of business and leisure travellers. North Americans, beware, the room sizes are not what you are accustomed to. If you unpack carefully, you will be able to enjoy Madrid!
Staff need to be trained to be service and client oriented. Hotel needs to be improved to reach the min of a 3* standard. Rooms are quite small with too much useful furniture in the room. No information given on hotel in room or at reception. Could not register my miles and more card although advertised as a member at the reception. Disappointed
Too much noise from room to room. You can clearly hear people in adjacent rooms closing doors, going to the bathroom, opening the windows... The shower was great with a lot of pressure and good heat. Soap/shampoo is poor quality Beds were very comfortable and the room included a new large HDTV, which was great
The Internet connection is not working. Because there is no security a group guest got his Ipad stolen. Also in the night the street is noisy with people screeming, people talking on the sidewalk and cars waiting in front hotel with motors running.
It had everything you would need from a hotel, €10 euro taxi ride to most places in the city. Beautiful interior, nice bed, tv and airconditioning. Very good restaurants and grocery stores walking distance. Night stores open 1 min away. Staff speak atleast English and Spanish.
First time trying out this Hotel and it was definitely worth the price, friendly staff both on check-in and check-out. Nice and clean room, comfortable bed. I didn't try the bar or breakfast. Only thing that could be improved is the WiFi connection, we kept losing the connection and it wasn't strong enough to use some apps or watch videos, I hope they can fix that cause otherwise is a place to consider when staying in Madrid.
Arrived at our hotel early and was given access to our room which was good. Downside was that it wasn't the room we booked. We booked a deluxe room but were given a comfort room. So back down to reception to get the correct room. From the brief time we were in the comfort room it was very very small. But had a lot of light from the wide windows. For the deluxe room, it was a decent size, bathroom was good and had hair dryer, toiletries, a bidet and massive towels. Comfy bed and nice size corner balcony with table and chairs which got the morning and mid afternoon sun. The downside was there was no tea or coffee facilities as per the description on their website and the 'mini bar' was a fridge with one can of beer and one can of coke. Not that we intended to use anything in the mini bar I was concerned about the fact there was so little and we would get charged for something we didn't know was meant to be there. Was also no price list IF you were wanting to take something from there. There was a Lidl just behind the hotel so easy to get drinks and snacks etc. Good location with easy walking distance for the centre of Madrid or the metro was close by. Lots of local food places too. So a nice hotel but basics like a kettle would have been nice. Especially when their website says you get that with the more expensive room.
Great location for center city if you want to pay less and walk a little. I also thought the bed was excellent and clean. While the bathroom was large enough - it was less impressive with cleanliness (at least my floor was not) It was very hot while I was there and so most notably- the air-conditioning was not enough- even after midnight. I had it turned down all the way: no es suficiente!
First impression walking in looked nice. Unfortunately we didn't feel that we received a great welcome from the receptionist on arrival, and I even tried my little bit of Spanish. When we went up to the room, again, initially it looked OK but when we saw there was no furniture on the balcony. We had paid for a deluxe room with a balcony. The hotel images show tables and chairs but in reality we had no furniture what so ever. The room to our right had none either and the room to our left had a table and 2 chairs. So I phoned reception and was told that they would change our room in the morning. Who wants to be changing rooms, so I asked if I could just reach over and move the furniture. I was told I could do that but not until the morning. When we went down in the morning to head into town there were no city tourist maps or any other information about Madrid. The receptionists just gave us a general nod/point, in the direction of the city centre. Generally speaking the hotel is spotlessly clean, the breakfast buffet is simple and exactly what we expected. The first smile/Buenos Dias we got was from the nice lady who looked after the dining area. The surrounding area has loads of shops, bars and restaurants just across the road and within a few minutes of the hotel. I am awarding this a generous 3 stars due to cleanliness, location and dining area staff but it could have been 2 simply down to staff attitude and missing facilities.
