Today, we leave Spain after visiting 3 cities and staying in 3 luxury hotels. Without a doubt, the Gran Hotel Inglés is the best hotel we stayed at during our travels in Spain, if not the world. There is so much to applaud — the elegant room, the grand lobby, the superb location, the delicious coffee and treats during our welcome and upon arrival in our room. But the tip-top reasons to book here are: 1) the extraordinary service and 2) the extraordinary people. We were blown away–more so after leaving the country and reflecting back on all our experiences–by the staff. Mark, Joaquin, Prince, and the entire group at the front desk and concierge are absolute leaders in this competitive, demanding industry. I wish I knew all the names of the wonderful people who helped us during our 2-nights stay 10/20-22/25 so I can also give them all the shoutout they deserve. Thank you, Gran Hotel Inglés for making our first time in Madrid such a magical, personal and glorious experience. You made two life-long friends who were on a much-needed getaway feel like we were the most important guests in the hotel. You recommended the best restaurants and made reservations in an instant for us. You helped me ship an important package to a friend whose family had a hard time shipping from their hometown abroad. You greeted us by name each time we passed through the lobby and knew our room number by heart. We will definitely return to Gran Hotel Inglés again and again. There is no doubt.

Great property once inside the hotel. Staff and level of service provide is amazing! Rooms are very well equipped, though having a tub in the middle of the room is a bit odd (may not be this was in all rooms). Breakfast was fantastic.

The location is great. Walkable to restaurants, museums, gardens, etc. I loved that the staff was super friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. For example, one morning I had to leave early before breakfast, and they made me coffee and pastries to go.
