Our stay at the hotel was great! The staff was incredible, answering any questions we had about the city and going above and beyond helping find Real Madrid tickets.

Hotel Villa Real Madrid is in a splendid location in central Madrid. The facilities and staff are top shelf in every regard. I unintentionally left behind some personal items in my room. The hotel staff recovered them all and has made arrangements to have them mailed to my home in the US. I am most grateful and appreciative for all their kind attention.Looking forward to staying at the Villa Real later in 2017 when I once again visit Madrid - which I do on a regular basis! A bientot!

Staff made extraordinary efforts to help us when there were no taxis available due to a bicycle race.

I had to move from Barcelona to Madrid at the last minute and booked this hotel the day before. It is in a great location in walking distance to all sights in Barcelona - Prado, Reina Sofia, Atocha train station, etc. The hotel room was spotless and included a separate living room and bedroom. There was ample closet space and the bathroom was clean and kept well stocked. The staff were pleasant and helpful with arranging a cab to the airport. I was in Madrid earlier that week and wish that I had stayed at this hotel.

As a member of the SLH chain, the Villa Real did not disappoint. At check-in the staff were very friendly and upgraded me to a suite which had a private balcony plus many amenities. Throughout my stay the front desk staff were always courteous and helpful making reservations and giving wonderful recommendations. The hotel is situated in an area surrounded by restaurants and Tapas bars. Not to mention it's a stone throw away from the two most important museums in Madrid. This was my second stay at the Villa Real and look forward to staying there again!

In Madrid you have many options and great neighborhoods so you can try a different zone where you get more for your money.

It is a good hotel, well located, but the noise in the rooms, opening and shutting the drawers, the noise of the floors walking, makes this hotel very problematic to sleep. Never been in a noisiest hotel than this one. They should refurbish the rooms, with new closets, put carpets on the floor and double windows because the noise form the street and the Plaza is very disturbing.

We has a great stay ay Hotel Villa Real. We really enjoyed the staff and their help through out our stay. If we were to come back to Madrid we would def consider coming back to this hotel. It was within walking distance to all the big musuems of Prado and Reiina Sophia. Clean rooms and great stay!

This hotel was amazing from the location to the staff! Everything was great!

The staff at the hotel were very helpful: directions, lending an electricity adaptor when mine refused to work, getting a last-minute reservations at Botin Restaurant and a wonderful flamenco show and providing communication assistance to cab drivers outside the hotel who could not understand my poor Spanish - be prepared, in my experience few of the cab drivers speak any English. It's also less than ten minutes walking distance from the Prado, Plaza Mayor, the Archeology Museum and dozens of other things to do. The business center consists of one computer which is frequently occupied, so make use of the Wi-Fi whenever possible. The 15-euro per day additional charge for breakfast is mildly steep. But these are minor quibbles for an otherwise excellent hotel. Well worth the money for location and friendly and helpful staff.

Room was perfectly clean free internet access war properly working but: there were open screw holes in the wall of the bathroom quite loud in the morning (other guests passing the corridor)

Since we were looking to visit the Prado and other nearby museums this was a great location. Only a couple of blocks and a very nice area. Plenty of good restaurants and wine/taps bars within a few blocks. Felt safe out in the evening. Close to public transportation. Short cab ride to train station. The rooms were nice size with some great art work. All in all a good place to stay in an interesting and vibrant area of Madrid.

Great service, wonderful staff. A good, clean hotel with which is just steps away from museum circle.

Location plus quality service make of Villa Real one of the best hotels in Madrid. Amenities are first class and the Villa Real has managed to keep intact those wonderful touches of a first class accomodation.

The hotel is good and we'd recommend it to others. Room is clean and the front desk is friendly and capable. Best of all is the location, which is in the "better part" of town and close to major attractions. Good value overall. Drawbacks included: two queen-sized (?) beds that were pushed together to form a large bed, but didn't hold together well; the air-conditioning was not working, but the weather was pleasant and the room stayed cool; there's street noise, but it wasn't really a problem; the internet connection was iffy; the breakfast was extra and expensive.

The location is great *(the presence of a dozen cops guarding the adjacent Congress building notwithstanding, particularly with the ongoing austerity riots) for checking out Madrid. There's no pool, the art is interesting but hard to get to - have to eat or drink at their bar/restaurant to see it. Rooms are ok but the view into the courtyard is unsatisfying. No pool or gym. Wifi is not free. For the money, it wasn't quite worth it.

When we arrived in Madrid, the Villa Real was having difficulty with their electricity so they switched us to their affiliate hotel, the Urban Hotel. Everyone was incredibly nice to us, the room was beautiful and they gave us a bottle of champagne & chocolates on our first night - delicious! I would definitely go back to the Urban Hotel again or even to the Villa Real, since they must be of similar quality.

WE ENJOYED EVERYTHING. HOTEL NICE,MODERN,CLEAN,QUIET AND GREAT LOCATION.

Close to everything! Excelent service! Kindly and helpfull staff (speaking English)! Excelent breakfast, (expensive though), depends on your wallet :))) Clean, well designed! It's like home!

Small hotel but very well situated. We were within walking distance from quite a few attractions (minus the bull fighting arena) and TONS of restaurants close by. The hotel itself was well kept, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean with nice hardwood floors throughout. Hotel pool is in a sister hotel down the street.
