Pros: great location next to a train station, lots of eating and shopping within walking distance, free parking, free wifi, in-room fridge Cons: no breakfast, bath tub drain not working properly- very slow drain, low shower pressure, no elevator, loud/ noisy AC, no gym 45 minutes to LAX. Ok for overnight stay but not worth the $129 we paid...

Very close to everything, check in was a breeze. Nice size for the money. The staff was very nice and attentive.

Good location, but air conditioning is dated and using polyester pillow shams for pillow cases. Maintenance is poor (toilet was leaking water) and notified hotel at 8 am. Came back later (10 pm) and only thing done was to turn off the water to the toilet. Only 1 room left up on another floor was their suggestion. Parking spaces are very tight. WiFi works, but you have to get a new code on Sundays instead of the code continuing to be good. Local restaurant had just changed a day or two before and was interesting ... complete menu from the previous restaurant, but basically only 1 thing available. Ever had Sriracha sauce on pan cakes? Cable/Dish network works fine once you get the tv working.

This hotel was a dump with a nice pool and friendly staff. My first night there I had to bathe without soap. None was provided. Drunks, derelicts, drug addicts, bums wandered the sidewalks just outside of the hotel grounds. People slept on the sidewalk. It felt like a rather risky place to be. I would warn anyone I know to stay away from the Dixie Hollywood. It is the worst hotel I ever stayed in and it isn't safe. It's in a dreadful part of town.

An ok hotel. Great location with easy access to Hollywood and Universal Studios. Nice bathrooms and beds, but all the paint in the room and floors were sticky. Furnitures boring. An easy update and this hotel will get a much better rating.

A converted motel, the Dixie Hollywood is a nice hotel that is conveniently located and freeway close to many of Southern California's attractions.

Front staff not so friendly. No smile when greeted and I think we said hi first. We stayed a week and wouldn't even allowed to use their computer to print some directions. If just surfing the net I can understand. All I can say is It's a good location if you love Thai food because it's right next to lots of Thai restaurant.

Great hotel for no expensive choice! Quiet and beautiful!

Hotel was great for a busy weekend basically just a place to sleep and recharge. The location is great, close to everything. Best of all, just about 100 feet from the metro stop, so if you prefer to head out by metro, location very convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. #225 is spacious and does not face the parking lot. Only draw back is that a/c keep turning off, but called front desk and was working well after.

Generally the location is good, just besides the metro and is pretty convenient for a transit to universal studio. The room layout is nice, space is large enough. Just furnitures are not that new, but its enough for use.

I'm usually an easy customer. My motto is no big deal. But they got my room wrong. Next the room I received was incredibly stuffy and the A/C did not blow cold air. I had to go back twice to understand that a light switch turned on the A/C instead of a switch on the bottom like I was told. I figured that out myself. But it was cool for what it is.

everything was good great location right by everything awesome staff. would recommend this to people that wanna stay on Hollywood blvd.

Just ok,little problem with parking space, has limited parking space and we have to wait for somebody to leave before we could park. The bathroom is tiny .

Nothing much to say here other than that the hotel is real clean and on Hollywood street. There is a CVS nearby. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the walk of fame, but you will have to travel through some questionable parts of town to get there.

the staff was great, but location was not, theres nothing close to the hotel, no night clubs. we had to call a taxi and texi service was horrible.

although the room was adequate for a budget hotel, it attracts a seedy clientele. Our neighbours held a hookah party starting a 2 a.m. They set up the massive hookah pipes on the shared balcony or passageway next to our room letting off cloud of smoke that infiltrated our room. The motel has a zero smoking policy. We complained to management about it, who were aware of the problem but did not not seem bothered to do anything about it. They let the smokers stay for a scone night. When we askd about moving into another room far away from the smokers, we were told that there were no more double rooms available, hence we had no choice but to check out of the motel. The motels homepage prides itself on customer service. It scores zero on that scale. Apart from that the room was adequate, what you would expect for a low budget motel, even though the motel tries to brand itself as a cut above the rest.

Not a very pleasant stay. Its a good location with a nice staff but the rooms are not the nicest. Very noisy location. The beds and pillows are not in the greatest shape too.

Thank you for your review. All of our guest's feedback is important to us and greatly appreciated. I regret to hear that you weren't fully satisfied with your stay. We pride ourselves in being a very clean and well ran business that continues to keep our guests happy and coming back. As for the restaurant, it was recently renovated and taken over by a new owner, and as far as we know, they are supposed to be offering a full breakfast menu, but I will look into that right away. I will consider the rest of your feedback and look into those matters as well. I surely hope that you will reconsider staying with us again sometime.
