Weird. I thought I already left a review. Oh well. Pretty incredible hotel. Great location, super hip vibe, and attention to detail with GOOD munchies and microbrews in the room. Going to get back there someday I hope.

Amazing staff and location!! Eclectic style our second Pali experience

The room did not have individual heat. The room was dark green and had a see threw glass bathroom door in a room with 2 beds.

Nice set up, ambience and staff. Rooms needs some “white noise” or more carpets to limit the sound between rooms.

Loved everything about this hotel. The staff, the room, the decor and the location!!

Imagine a cool, urban hideaway designed by folks who hang with Wes Andersen and David Lynch--that's what you get with the Palihotel Melrose. We spent one night there and it was memorable.

Loved it. I stayed there for 3 nights and it was perfect amount of comfort and ease. I wouldn't consider this a luxury hotel, but they also do an excellent job of having just the right amount of needed amenities as well so that it does not feel like some generic Ramada or Holiday Inn. In fact just the opposite you feel like a hip boutique hotel. Lots of places to walk in the area stores, restaurants and centrally located. The staff was very friendly and the nothing feel excessive it's all just right. You should have more of a european sensibility in your needs as opposed to expecting everything at your finger tips i.e. - if u need an iron ask and they will get it for you in the closet, but it's not in the room. They don't have phones in the rooms, but u can use ur cell to call the front desk, the temp is controlled at the front desk, but just ask and they will make it hotter or colder for you. As long as your in that mindset its and AMAZING place to stay!!!

I have wanted to stay at a Pali brand hotel/house for a while and was excited to spend my birthday weekend here! The hotels decor is so cute and trendy! The staff is very nice and the location is great for shopping and good restaurants! The brunch in the restaurant is fantastic. Our favorites were the coffees, breakfast sandwich and blueberry pancakes! The cons are it is on a very busy street so it is loud when you are trying to sleep. There is also noise from inside the building because the walls are thin and the ceilings creek when someone on the floor above is walking. The lighting in the rooms is bad for girls who want to do makeup. These things were not that bad, but I'm a deep sleeper. I can't wait to go back!

I decided to go to LA/SoCal for my 1st vacation in 13 years. I don't like major chain hotels, preferring boutique accommodations, and the Palihotel was perfect. I could walk to/from WeHo nightlife, easily drive to Hollywood or the beach, and it felt more like a bedroom than a hotel room. They have a small parking garage ($20/night) which saved me from trying to find the ever elusive street parking. My only gripe is that over my 6 night stay I had to get new key 3x. There's also no real closet or dresser, but I live out my suitcase anyway.

The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with cozy room, friendly staff and nice restaurant.

amazing shopping location ...... we had a blast ... & enjoyed the small cafe restaurant downstairs in the lobby ..... i was also glad to have a balcony ........

Great location! Hotel has nice retro vibe with a good restaurant.

The staff was great and I enjoyed the area! The rooms are decent compared to other hotels nearby, make sure to check out Toy Art Gallery while you are on Melrose!

I travel often & must say this and their sister hotel Palihouse have been the most comfortable places to stay. The rooms are spacious & clean, the showers have great water pressure and the beds are great! Definitely staying here again.

Excellent staff, fun and quirky decor, fair pricing. However it cannot escape a feeling of being run down. The walls are thin and I was awoken many times throughout the night by someone clomping up/down stairs or talking loudly. The Beverly Hills Palihotel disappoints in comparison with the Palihotel in Santa Monica.

Super nice people and everything was clean and of good quality. And yet...the aesthetic of the hotel just didn't quite work for us. On one hand, it is very minimalist (No closet or drawers, just hangers on a ladder. One iron chair in the room to be used at a tiny desk or taken out onto the balcony)--and that minimalist tone is cool and sometimes works (There actually were plenty of hangers and enough places to hang them), but sometimes not (what if both of us wanted to sit on the balcony at the same time?). Sometimes, however, the minimalism extended to insufficiency (only one washcloth allocated per room; glasses provided, but not enough room to place them next to bathroom sink after brushing teeth; no suitcase stands or drawers, so suitcases end up on the floor with contents stacked beside them--relatively clean floor, but the floor is not my first choice for a place to put my clean clothes). Contrasting with this minimalism, the hotel then has a English hunting theme (staff wear hacking jackets, lots of prints of the hunt, horse show trophies, lots of books). Why? At first I thought it was ironic commentary on the style--but in the end I don't think so. And why are all the books glued together and displayed with their pages, not their spines showing? When turned around, many of the books were actually decent old novels, historical texts, biographies, etc.--given that they were probably purchased by the pound, is it really a huge risk they'll be stolen? And even if you must glue them together, why display the page edge? Overall, we had a fine time here and were largely pleased by the accommodations. It wasn't cheap, but probably in line with other local facilities? But just often felt a bit confused by the intentions of the designer.

In a nutshell: the style and feel of the hotel is perfect, great location and the staff are super warm and friendly. The only thing that could've put this place over the edge are a couple of necessary and quite ordinary amenities such as a ceiling fan in the bathroom (for ventilation) and room operated air conditioning. The ac is operated by the hotel staff from the hallway and unfortunately the room had one very small vent that could not cool the room properly.

Cool Boutique Hotel. Decor really nice. Not worth the price. The Decor is about the only thing you are paying for. My tub was cracked and the shower held water. The hotel has no pool, room service, and you cannot adjust the temp in your own room. Much better deals out there. Staff super friendly, though.
