The staff of this hotel are absolutely amazing! They made my family and I feel extremely welcomed and gave us personalized top notch service. From the moment we checked in it was the little things the young lady at the front desk said and did to engage and make sure we had the right room and were comfortable. I wish I took note of her name but she set the perfect tone for the trip. All of our staff interactions were great too including valet, doormen, and checkout. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The interiors of the lobby areas were very cool with an upscale bar/restaurant feel. The staff was very friendly. The crowd was a lot younger than my wife and I but we didn't mind. We were not aware that the hotel was Cannabis friendly. The STK steak house was exceptional.
Service was excellent - pool and grounds were spotless and every leaf cleaned up daily around the pool. Food and coffee were excellent. Great stay.
Neat, nice staff, good location. After staying here twice, it's clear AC does not go below 68 in the room and the AC constantly struggling to hit that temperature. The rooms for me feel a little muggy. Otherwise, it's a good place to stay.
Well decorated. Charges to wifi, no coffee maker in the room.
Very convenient location for my purposes - parking fee is absurdly expensive, but you can cleverly park nearby paying attention to posted signs. Also, do not touch the in-suite bar offerings: $100 (sic!) for a 0.375 liter of gin or whiskey can make your head spin without taking a sip!
They upgraded us to a suite with a nice separate living room And the bathroom was well above average. Really nice and spacious.
Hotel good....clean, exercise area, laidback environment, location quiet street, bar/restaurant area by outdoor pool attractive, staff very responsive. 10 minute walk to UCLA med center. Food not inexpensive but well prepared. Car/driver available (first come) for dropoffs within 3 miles radius.
The hotel is nice. I stayed here in 2005 or 2006 and it still looks exactly the same. I think it might be time for some interior updating to the rooms. The bathroom door was broken and the heat seemed to be off. Three techs worked at it and brought a small portable heater and extra blankets. It helped a little since we were traveling with a baby. The staff in the lobby and the cleaning staff were excellent. Great customer service! The pool and loungers were the best part. Keep in mind the gratuity for room service is already included. I would definitely stay here again and I am a SPG hotels member. The Miami W was so perfect that I had to point out the minor flaws in the Los Angeles location.
The heating was not enough to keep the room warm with a whooping 48F cold weather. Otherwise it is a nice hotel with spacious rooms and great location in Westwood.
I specifically ordered a balcony room. When I arrived i was told that there was no balconies in the whole place. Make sure when using the orbitz app to have it updated to latest version because it glitched up the reservation to stay at the W with a balcony room. I would have never stayed there if there was no balcony.
Sad to see this hotel falling apart. The rooms and the building needs at least a good paint job. The windows of the hotel were covered with dirt from years of not cleaning. Plus didn't have a coffeemaker in the room nor any of the basic things that are in hotel rooms at this price range. If they want to save money there are so many better ways other than not placing a qtip in the room or a coffeemaker. So many better places and options to stay at this price. Won't recommend it at all. The staff was very nice but it seemed the hotel doesn't have a manager. At times the whole place seemed chaotic not because there were too many guests rather the staff was running around very unorganized. This place was great now it is just another hotel that is tired of serving.
The carpet was still wet from the cleaning but the smell was truly revolting. We got an expeditious room change though. A 58 bucks parking valet seems outrageous to me.
Very nice last-minute stay. Staff were friendly. Great location.
Check in is simple. Rooms are outstanding. Bar, pool, lounge, all excellent. Although we stayed in BH, the staff was even a little to snobby for my liking. Will stay no where else in LA.
The Hotel is nice and clean. There is no staff to help. The W Hollywood is way better
