The hotel is in a good location but is old and the rooms desperately need to be updated. The carpets are stained, the shower barely works. Breakfast buffet is excellent.

I didn't get air conditioner in my room and I ask to be upgrade and they couldn't, my kiss were not working and they man in the front desk wasn't nice at all

Bed was very uncomfortable, hot tub down for maintenance the duration of our stay. Not convenient to a tube stop.

It is a OK hotel but the location is not convenient. The bathroom is out of date.

I want to revise my earlier post I was able to contact the hotel and my headphones were found which is great I want to thank the hotel for doing this and I am amending my negative review thank you

Good service. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Would recommend.

Great location, friendly and courteous staff, clean and comfortable room.

We stayed here for five nights. The hotel, while older, has been refurbished, including free WiFi, and was quite nice. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff were very intent on making sure we lacked for nothing. The same is true of the staff, in general. The breakfast buffet was excellent and well worth the money we paid for it. The only down side to the hotel is the location. For tourists, like us, it is a bit of a journey to get to the museums and other areas of interests. But, it is only a five minute walk to the closest tube station and from there you can get anywhere. If you want a fancy room, this is not the hotel for you but if you want a nice, comfortable, clean room, this would be a place to consider.

I stayed here for one night after flying from Chicago. Area is OK but it's a short walk to Islington which is an area I know well and is a more happening area. Room I was in was pretty tiny which is par for the course in London for budget rooms. Staff was super helpful and nice so no problems there. Hotel was sort of non descript looking so I walked right passed it , hailed a cab to take me 3 blocks back from where I was , cab cost was £3.50 , hilarity was priceless.

Neither of the two subway stations that are within walking distance of the hotel have an elevator or escalator. So if you are traveling with a large suitcase like I was you must drag it up and down a LOT of steps to get to and from the platforms. The hotel itself was nice enough. The fitness center was quite nice for the price.

Good service, small room Fantastic staff, always helpful

If you a traveler that only needs your hotel room to sleep this it's a good value. Just some issues. -My window wouldn't go up so there was a very cold draft. -The springs of one side of the bed were a little warn so if I moved a certain I would dip a little (very slight though) - My breakfast tray was left in my room after my room was picked up in the morning. - Showers knobs had some scum on them. Doesn't look like it was thoroughly cleaned. Those are just some small things. They do have a very nice bar which closes late so that's a plus :) great people and great food.

overall a good hotel, we had a small room. No view. Good breakfast. Good service and assistance as needed. Quite a walk to the undergound.

Business travel. Room was always made-up and cleaned. Pool hours are only 6:30a-8:00p. Sausa and steam room are wonderful.

We were given an non a/C room though we booked a delux. safe deposit locker was not working. So we changed the room. A/C unit was not working hair dryer did not work one of the lights near dresser needed a new bulb? Staff did not offer any repairs even for 2nd day.

Thank you for your review, Derek. We are glad to hear that the location has worked for you and that you have enjoyed the breakfast. Why don't you try one of our Premium Bedrooms when visiting London in the future? These rooms are larger with a different decor. We think that these rooms might be a suitable option for you. We hope to see you soon again.
