The staff was nice and friendly. The person who check us in told mu husband and I that anything in mini bar was free. We consumed a few items. When checking out we weee told it was not. However, they did not charge us due to miscommunication. Also, the Sacoy Grill double charged us. It took a while but was finally corrected. What we didn’t like was the food at Savoy Grill. Mediocre at best. Order creamed spinach and it can like steamed but with a sauce that was like milk constentcy. The manager came over and said that it could not be remade. Took off bill. The beet and burrata salad was not seasoned at all. Bland. Buy this time I was exhausted. Just didn’t eat it and let it go. Thw waiter spill wine on table cloth. The whole experience was painfully and I was so looking forward to it. They need to refocus there attention to detail. Many other restaurants for much cheaper.

We flew in from Bergen, Norway for a six night stay at the Savoy. We were met at Heathrow by a driver who was both knowledgeable and social. No standing at a desk to wait to sign into the hotel. We were greeted by a professional young lady who took us into a beautiful Victorian room to do the necessary work to arrange our stay. Our room was very nicely appointed and spacious. This hotel like all world class hotels bases its reputation on service. This is among the very best we have ever encountered and we have travelled extensively world wide. The location of this hotel is a big plus being located near all the shops and theaters in central London. I will comment further on the service which was extraordinary in the box below. Needless to say, we felt that we were really cared for and about.

It was a wonderful stay. The hotel was so beautiful and so historic. More than anything I could not believe how fantastic the staff was. I have never experienced such service. Every single staff member went way out of his/her way to be of service. And always with a smile!

The Savoy is a world class hotel in every way. Everything from staff attention to food was great. The hotel has been remodeled and is beautiful. We were close to Big Ben, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and Parliament. Many shops and pubs were nearby. Lovely hotel I would go to again.

Beautiful historic hotel with excellent service. Great location for being able to walk along the River to the major sights, and also close the Covent Garden and Theatre district. We stayed with our 6 year old daughter and they had a stuffed animal and a tray of sweets in the room for her....big smile to her face.

I was looking forward to my visit to the Savoy during a business trip to London. What I experienced was even better. The room was perfect, very clean, well maintained and extremely comfortable. The staff was very accommodating on every level and always smiled and greeted me every time they were encountered. Nightly turn down service seems to be slipping away from the hotel business but is alive and well at the Savoy. I was told the hotel was very busy during my stay but never would have guessed because based on the availability and professionalism of the staff.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels, and it carries the Fairmont name. We were very excited to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday here. It was very expensive, but we thought it would be worth it. Unfortunately, we were very wrong. Every day seemed to have its own issue. To start, they stuck us in a horrible room. After 2 days, they finally moved us into a room that was much nicer. They brought us cake and strawberries for celebrating. Then housekeeping removed them, and they were never replaced as we were told they would be. They had us checking out on the wrong date, and I had to spend an hour arguing with them about our pre-paid room, and the dates we had paid for, which almost caused us to miss our train to Paris. They double locked our room while we were in Paris, which was great, but we could not get back in, even after we were told we would be able to. Staff walked into our room multiple times without knocking. The last straw was when my earrings went missing the day we were checking out. The hotel has "found" the earrings, but this was completely unacceptable. The disappointment can't be put into words. We spent a LOT of money for this hotel, and it was not worth it.

My only complaint is housekeeping knocking on door before 9.00 am. Overall however an amazing hotel, which in itself was wrth the trip to London. I plan to stay there again !

Everything about this hotel was perfect, Location with access to all of the London hotspots, staff was friendly And helpful, The deluxe room we stayed at was very big especially considering European hotel size.

An absolutely first rate stay at a first rate hotel. Perhaps the most outstanding feature is the ability of the staff to make everyone feel completely comfortable. I am unfortunately not in the habit of staying in hotels in this price range on a regular basis but as a special treat it was well worth it. Whether dining in the Savoy Grill, having cocktails in the American Bar or simply being shown to our room, the staff made my wife and I feel completely at home. I may have to wait for the kids to graduate from college before I go again but I know that I will be looking forward to it.
