I booked afternoon tea through a Groupon offer and received excellent service from start to finish at the Leonard hotel. Excellent selection of cakes and sandwiches, and scones. Lovely, relaxing and cosy environment. We loved the fact we could have unlimited tea (which is not always on offer in some venues) and we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted and enjoy the environment and ambience. We would like to say a very big thank you to Khan who I dealt with from the start and who helped to arrange a surprise little treat for my fiancee, who's birthday we were celebrating. Thank you very much to Khan and your colleagues for making our afternoon tea even more special! Would highly recommend.
I visited London November 2017. My intention was to stay at the Cavendish for 5 nights but the cheaper rate they were offering was a weekend rate so I looked around for something else for two nights. The Leonard popped up and when I checked on Tripadvisor the reviews were good. It did not disappoint. I was early checking in so decided to have lunch in the bar. I did not feel uncomfortable sitting on my own, on the contrary it was a pleasant experience. Lovely glass of wine and delicious sandwich with marvellous service. The service at this hotel is definitely 5 star, everyone without exception was helpful and kind. My room was quiet as requested and it was perfectly adequate though a little tired. The location is excellent as lots of sights nearby as well as very good restaurants e.g. Locatell which by the way was delicious. The lobby reminds me of a a good gentleman's club. I visit London frequently and would definitely return to this hotel.
We stayed just one night. We were allocated a lovely room. All the hotel's staff were friendly and welcoming. The Leonard has a great location, perfect for Oxford Street and all those lovely high end shops.
Booked high tea via Groupon.uk , it was excellent... scones, petit-foures, sandwiches, cupcakes, champagne and tea. Everybody was very Nice, kind and professional. Interior design was really Beautiful.
We loved everything about our stay at the Leonard. Perfect location (a block from Hyde Park and Oxford St., lots of restaurants and shops within sight), friendly service from the moment you walk in, lovely spacious rooms decorated to period...Only potential drawback could be for someone disabled- even with an elevator, there are multiple areas only accessible by steps. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I just returned from my fourth visit at The Leonard and had another wonderful stay! We were upgraded to a suite and it was beautiful. It had a sitting room, kitchenette, bedroom, and large bathroom. The staff is always friendly and helpful. When you walk in, you feel like you’re coming home. It is tastefully decorated and has a warm fire burning in their lobby. The restaurant is cozy and has a bar and serves afternoon tea. The location is perfect as it is on a quiet street, but is just a block from Oxford St/Marble Arch so there is easy access to all of the shopping, busses and the Tube. I will be back next year!
Stayed here late November, the location is perfect for a London shopping trip. Tube 2 minute walk. Oxford street 2 mins away. There's a car park 1 minute away (book online cost £60 4days). Afternoon tea in the hotel was nice (booked on Groupon). Overall a great stay
It’s a lovely hotel near Marbel Arch station, every body is most attentive and wants to do their best. Our room was over looking the street but there was no noise and we had a small porch to sit in. There were few stairs to go to the room as there is no lift but the crew took care of the luggage. The room was for two not big but very clean and looked new including the bathroom. all and on - we recommend this hotel!
I like this Hotel mostly for where it is, really next to Oxford street and Hyde Park. Friendly staff and good service. We had the extra large suit as we where 5. It's decorated in the typical English old fashion style. The restaurant is ok but nothing special, many foreigners work there, make sure they repeat what you order otherwise you get the surprise that something different ends up on your plate. I will be back to this Hotel. BerniTroll World🌎Wide Travel Experience
Over all a fine hotel. It is aged which is good and bad. Good because the hotel has a style of old London and charm in many ways. Bad because they need to update and spruce up a few things along the way. The rugs are worn, torn and stained. But can be overlooked. I am not sure I have ever stayed at a hotel that offers so many TV channels - extraordinary. The Wi-Fi is good... The housekeepers are not that welcoming. The front desk staff are certainly fine and friendly. Location is excellent. There are better places to stay and far far worse.
