We stayed just one night at The Leonard but were delighted with the hotel despite the quirkiness of the internal architecture viz uneven and creaky floors! Very courteous staff. We had a suite (bedroom, lounge with bed settee and kitchenette & bathroom) and on a very cold night it was very snug. We were at the front of the hotel but were not disturbed by traffic noise. Lovely large fluffy white towels and all the shampoo etc one could possibly need. What a brilliant position - just two blocks away from M&S & Selfridges and three minutes to Marble Arch tube. Our thirteen year old particularly liked the front door being opened as he left and returned by the two porters! Yes it's a bit tired in places but good value - I'll be back! Thank you St Leonard.
We visited this hotel for afternoon tea . We were met by a pleasant member of staff at the door and shown to our table which was nicely laid out. The place is pleasantly decorated , clean and very relaxing. We were offered a variety of teas to choose from. There was a good selection of cakes , sandwiches and the scones were warm , and very fresh . I must say one of the best scones that I have had recently. The staff were very efficient and regularly came up to ask if everything was ok and if we needed a top up for the tea. The food was plentiful and we were unable to finish the cakes . Overall a very relaxing afternoon , without feeling rushed , with excellent service and good quality, fresh food . I would definitely will be visiting Leonard again .
Very bad experience, every thing is bad,the staff are careless and uncooperative. We are live in 4th floor and no elevator. There was a leakage of water from the ceiling and after that the room was changed to a worse one.I strongly advise everyone not to book at this bad hotel.
I visited with my friend to take afternoon tea. It was a good experience. Although we arrived slightly ahead of our booking we were accommodated without a fuss. The selection of cakes and sandwiches were generous and flavoursome and we were provided with a steady supply of tea in a silver pot. The surroundings were ambient and elegant and the staff very friendly, polite, attentive but unobtrusive. Altogether it was a lovely experience and my friend and I would certainly return for afternoon tea.
We had an excellent stay at this hotel, the staff was nice and courteous and the rooms were adorable! The fireplace was always roaring making the lobby a nice place to relax. The sparkling and tap water available in the lobby was a nice touch. Located only a few steps from the marble arch subway stop, it was a convenient location and very easy to get around the city. There were also a number of cute restaurants and shops within walking distance.
I spent a lot of time looking for the right place to stay and so glad I chose The Leonard. Brilliant location - 2 mins from Marble Arch. Friendly helpful staff, lovely apartment (we were upgraded). Fabulous breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay again
My partner and I had a lovely afternoon tea at The Leonard hotel, good selection of sandwiches, and lovely warm scones with clotted cream and jam, and a selection of cakes and of course plenty of tea. The service and staff were excellent. Very enjoyable afternoon.
Victorian style hotel, beautiful for who likes the style. Lovely quite dinner, very good food, very good steak compliments to the chef. Excellent customer service by Khan and Samona, thank you. We would return again.
Stayed here with two friends in March and it was "fine"...(one bedroom suite with a king bed in one room and a pullout sofa in a separate living room area). The pullout bed was a single, so not very spacious. It worked just fine for the three of us, but even for a boutique hotel, the room could use some attention to painting detail, as there are visible places in the bathroom and doorframes that could be sanded, repaired, and touched up with a fresh coat of paint. It was a decent room for the price (less expensive than many)...but the floor creaks with every step and you can hear the neighbors through the walls/ceiling. Just...don't go into it expecting a high standard of luxury and you will be just fine.
The hotel's decoration is quite elegant and beautiful. We use Groupon to enjoy great afternoon tea here!! I only spend 8.75 pounds for tasty afternoon tea!! The service is perfect and all the waiters and waitresses are super friendly with big smiles. Sandwiches, scones and cakes are all delicious! If you're looking for a place to enjoy afternoon tea with reasonable price in London, the Leonard Hotel will be your best choice!!
