Ideal location, close to King's Cross Rail Station. This is an older building (typical for the hotels in this neighborhood), in which the interior has been completely renovated. Stylish (almost edgy) decor, with a nice lobby/restaurant space on the ground floor.
The rooms are on the smallish side, though probably typical for this part of London. Two things to be aware of: 1) There are three floors above the ground floor, but the building has no lift and the staircase is a little tight. That said, the staff will bring your luggage up to your room, if you don't want to lug it yourself. 2) The toilet and shower enclosure is all obscured glass. No opaque walls. The pattern on the glass is very effective at obscuring the "view", but my girlfriend was not real comfortable; feeling somewhat exposed and concerned about "bathroom noises". But having said that, the bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was very good. Overall, we were quite happy with the hotel at that price point, and would definitely stay there again if we wanted to be in that part of London.
