Small Londonl Hotel located in Soho. We were on a birtday trip with her daughter and we were sharing a room with three beds. Room was ok but hotel needs some love. No elevator and the escalator are very narrow, Breakfast was good and staff ok. Great walk to many location. The Nothinghill market is a must. Not the hotel fault but our neighour got into a fight at 3 AM and we could ear everything... Philippe Montreal Quebec Canada

I recently had an extended stay at The Staunton Hotel and have to say that my experience simply could not have been better! From the daily staff, to the location to the cleanliness I was extremely happy. It's an old building and as such has a few small blemishes here and there but that's to be completely expected. Having said that, my bathroom was newly renovated and beautiful! I had a situation in which I was reliant on the WiFi and while it was at times a bit fluky, the management did everything possible to fix the situation. I had a room that faced the back of the hotel and it was remarkably quiet, I was hard pressed to hear and street noise. There was the occasional light noise between rooms but that's a function of an old building. Morning breakfast was fresh, hot and very unhurried. Long way of saying that I couldn't have been happier and have been recommending this hotel to all I know.

Stayed 2 nights in room 103 (first floor, road side) in last week of July. Room had 3 single beds. Location is the main plus point of this tiny hotel. It's just 5 minutes walk to British museum and 10 minutes to oxford street. There are many restaurants and pubs around the corner. Internet in the room was the big issue. WiFi signals were missing most of the time, 5 minutes on and 10 minutes off. Despite several requests to fix it, nothing happened. If you need internet this room may be not the right choice. Bathroom shower need to be fixed. Knobs were broken. Full English Breakfast is complementary and it's good, friendly staff there. If you can get a room around 50 pounds per person including VAT, it's good value for money for this hotel.

We only stayed one night but I would have stayed longer: lovely room, friendly staff, full breakfast and great location at reasonable price. The hotel is walking distance to the British museum and near the tube so you can get anywhere easily and there are several cute cafes nearby for a refortifying cappuccino.

The Staunton Hotel is conveniently located in the area of London called Bloomsbury and is a 10 minute walk away from the Goodge Street or Tottenham Court Road underground stations. It is very close to the British Museum, and most of the theatres on Shaftesbury Avenue or Drury Lane are an easy 15-20 minute walk. The hotel is operated by a family dedicated to the well-being of their residents. A full breakfast is included in the fee. The hotel is quiet (all the windows have double-glazing) and very clean. Oxford Street shopping is just a 15 minute walk. In all, this is a perfect hotel and good value for central London. Please be aware that the hotel does not have an elevator, thus individuals with mobility concerns should consider staying elsewhere.

Short stay in family room which was clean, spacious and ideal for a family of four on short trip to central London. Shops, restaurants and pubs nearby but airy, quiet feel to hotel despite location on main road. Able to park on adjacent corner, rooms cool though weather warm, staff friendly and food lovely. Breakfast calm and efficient. Cleanliness top notch. Altogether fabulous value. Provided sanctuary and restoration in busy three days.

This pretty little hotel is located in the heart of London, a few minutes walk from the most main attractions of the city. It is quiet, the staff is really amazing, the breakfast is superb and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfortable, and the amenities were more than enough. A perfect value for money!

picked this hotel as it offered three proper beds in one room. Room was clean tidy and had plenty of storage and a large shower bath area. No Lifts in this hotel and stairs is spiral in design. Attention to detail required at breakfast time as table cloths on our table were dirty - breakfast from 07:30 to 09:30 we went down at 08:15 so possibly second sitting? Well situated with decent eateries close by and there are also three underground stations within walking distance of hotel.

Booked into the Staunton but due to time commitments the 2pm book in time was pushing it, so rang up the night before and an extremely helpful lady promised to get my room ready for 12.30, Arrived and room was ready, better still they had had a cancellation so upgraded me to a double room from a single, wait for it, no extra charge! Now the room, spotless with en-suite and air conditioning, the bed was really comfortable with beautiful crisp white Egyptian cotton sheets. Breakfast, range of cereals, toast, tea/coffee and a freshly cooked full English served to your table by really attentive and friendly staff. A great hotel that charges reasonable rates in a brilliant part of the city, family, couples or business consider the Staunton for a really relaxing stay.

Stayed here for a night when down for an awards do at late notice. Basic hotel but friendly staff, decent room in a good location. Rooms was a little dated and there was noise from the road, but I'd still come here again
