St Giles London - A St Giles Hotel

The only bad thing is breakfast. One of the worst during our euro trip. But location is excellent.

Inexpensive as far as London goes, the concierge was amazing, really friendly guys and even got us a private Mercedes to Heathrow for 55 bucks, which isn't bad,a taxi would have been a lot more. The hotel itself is dated and it is not a fancy hotel. The rooms are very small but clean and it's okay for a night or two,BUT,its in a great, safe neighborhood, has a 24 hr restaurant and a nice bar for drinks, the surrounding streets have plenty of places to dine and covent garden, soho and Leicester Sq is a very short walk away....I would definitely stay there again...great place to have fun and then crash for the night.

Stayed at this hotel briefly so that I can be close to London's attractions while making an overnight connection for my flight. The location is sort of convenient, being only a few minutes from the British museum and 15 minutes from Trafalgar Square (and Big Ben/Westminster Abbey is another 15 minutes from there). The room was really small, and lacks air conditioning, so you would need to keep the window open. The lobby does have air conditioning, so we heard the sound of that machine through the open window. The toilet tank apparently takes a long time to fill up after each flush, so it pretty much can flush once every 30 minutes. Something to think about if you're not staying by yourself. There are restaurants and a casino that are part of the hotel, but we didn't visit either. It's an alright hotel, but I probably would go somewhere else next time.

Hand wash basin actually inside the shower cubical and blocked, so when you shower it filled up. The room was generally clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was not great - the cheapest possible items - plastic cheese, tinned fruit, watery juice and croissants were more like bread than a pastry product, and the toast would best be described as scorched bread

good location and noce hotel, room can be better, near oxford street and the soho

Great location, near the Tottenham Court Road tube station, restaurants, bars, entertainment and shopping. The hallways and rooms are very basic, certainly no frills and no air conditioning. We managed with the window open and fans the hotel provided only because the outside temperature was in mid 50's. Elevators were old and slow. The British museum was just blocks away.

Nice hotel staff very friendly and helpful, the stairs a little odd .

The rooms are painfully tiny, warn and smelly. They claim to have free wifi that is really only available in the lobby not in the rooms. I paid extra to get the boosted wifi which turned out to be just a scam, they took my money and did not provide a code. The location is the only redeeming quality.

Location was great and, since we only had 3 nights, being able to walk everywhere and not lose time with transports was great! Room was small but clean, shower didn't work properly. Worse part was loud noise coming from the street, although we were in a high 3rd floor, but with some ear plugs the location is definitely worth it!

If a central West End BUDGET location, is all you're looking for, this hotel is perfect. But, if you are prefer comfort and quiet, look elsewhere. I happened to be there during a September heat wave and there was no AC and the room felt like a tiny little sweat box, even with the portable fan that was provided. The bed tilted to one side and swayed in the middle (they replaced the mattress, but still swayed in the middle). I found a bug on my towel. The decor is old and worn, and the rooms are itty bitty. The doors to the rooms automatically slam shut which means constant noise in the AM when people are leaving and the maid staff is busy, and being jolted awake at night when people come in late. There is very loud construction going on across the street to the north. I asked if I could pay to upgrade to a room with AC and was told they were fully booked. Then the front desk person looked at the computer and said 'wait, let me ask the manager', went into the back room and came back and said 'no, we're fully booked'. But why did she ask unless there was something there? Why wouldn't the manager let me pay for a better room? I ended up switching hotels because it was that uncomfortable. Expedia was great in getting me a refund on the nights I didn't stay!

Location location location Great value for the location

We have changed the reservation from standard to deluxe room just because the deluxe includes Air conditioning { about 25$ difference per day). Unfortunately, the Air condition was out of order, and when we complained, they claimed that the Air condition is only an option, despite it was in the form.

I was in London for 5 days. It proved more than adequate for such a stay. Ckean, tidy rooms with a more than adequate, clean bath.

Stayed in St giles hotel for 4 nights in single room. The room was small but comfort. The hotel is in a great location meters from Oxford street and a tube station. Very central.

Pleasant overall. Good location. Noisy at night because the window opens to the street.

The Hotel was comfortable, clean and convenient to Shopping and the Fabulous Opera Center. It is advisable to check with the Restaurant on the Top Floor for seating for dinner and drinks. They can only accommodate 200 people and as it is a popular Hotel for Tour Groups, you may not get in. The staff were knowledgeable and very accommodating. They post cancellations of tours due to weather and in Winter this is very helpful. We would stay again..

The hotel is in the middle of the city with a close proximity to various bars and restaurants.

I stayed in a single room for one night, and it was very clean, but I was disappointed that there is no free wi-fi anywhere in the hotel. The location is fantastic. Bring your toiletries, because there is no shampoo or conditioner in the room.

rooms alittle small and internet not included but great location off Oxford St shopping and easy train access to airports. Breakfast buffet really good. We stay there all the time when visiting london

Outstanding value right off Oxford Stm breakfast was ggreat....
