Myself and three other friends stayed here for one night and we booked into a 6 bedroom mixed dorm. The room had its own bathroom that was dirty, the room was stuffy and hot with a small fan. There was only two plugs for the 6 of us. Common room was nice, friendly staff. Breakfast was very basic, toast, cereal and instant coffee.

It's disgusting that in 2017 you still have people that are racist. The worst part they aren't trained in customer service so they can't even pretend to be nice. I had been staying at the hostel for about 2weeks and I was using Booking.com to book my stay. However I lost my card and didn't have any money to pay for the 3nights I had booked. I asked Booking.com to waive the fees and they rang the hostel who insisted I should pay the amount. I agreed to pay the first night and went on to book 5 more nights only to be told by a member of staff I was barred from the hostel on my arrival date. Imagine no notice and they didn't even reject the booking but waited for me to show up to tell me they cancelled my booking. The worst part when I explained the ordeal to management they said I was lying and I wasn't welcome to stay there really I won't be staying here and don't recommend to anyone. If you are desperate maybe you can stay but the fans don't work , rooms are quite tiny. The beds are too short hence you can't sit on the bed you can only lie down all the time. However it is good location and the bar is quite okay.

This hostel had the slowest WiFi I have ever encountered at a hostel- it took 2 hours to purchase bus tickets. Other than that, it was pretty good. The rooms were clean, there was a light free breakfast, spacious dining room with a TV and it was a decent location- close to some restaurants and supermarkets and a bus stop. Lockers in the rooms are available for purchase and there aren't too many outlets (none by the beds). The beds are also pretty short (lengthwise). A deposit of 10 euros per person is also needed upon arrival which you will get back after you checkout.

I booked 4 mixed dorm and she gave me 4 female dorm with shared bathroom inside the room. I was disappointed because the elevator was damaged when I checked in this hostel and the bathroom has no hot water and no hair dryer. The room was only with fan no AC. My room was at the 3rd floor. So it was impossible for me to bring my big luggage to the room so I just picked some stuff and then put my big luggage at the hostel luggage storage. When I checked out the next day and they charged me for GBP 2 for keeping my luggage in there. Btw you must bring your own towel if you wanna stay at this hostel as my experience I had to buy the white towel for GBP 5.

We were very disappointed with this hostel. Its great location (in front of Hyde Park) is the only remarkable positive point. Rooms were extremely tiny and untidy and there was no hot water in the bathroom.

As the hostel is right next to Hyde Park the location can not be criticized. The dorm rooms however were third world conditions. They managed to squeeze 6 beds into an approx. 12 m2 room (triple bunk beds) and left almost no room for you to walk - suitcases could only be opened in bathroom. The beds were way to short, so if you are 170cm or above, sleeping might become and obstacle. WIFI was only partly accessible in the lobby and the whole place could really use a renovation. Breakfast was as you would expect - toast, cornflakes and instant coffee. I would only recommend overnight stays.

Good points: Great location - 20 min walking to Oxford street. There are plenty of places to eat and supermarkets nearby (Quennsway street). Breakfast is free - it's basic (toasts, butter, jam, nutella, cereals, coffee & tea) but you can eat as much as you want to. I booked a bed in a dorm and I really liked that each bed is protected by walls and you have curtains you can close. Security is good - you use a magnetic card to get to the hostel, to your dorm and to open your locker as well. The room door is self-closing, so if you stay in a dorm you don't have to worry one of your room mates will leave the door unlocked. You can get free ear plugs and a sleeping mask at the reception. And the staff is nice too. Bad points. 6-bed dorm was really small. You have to pay 1,5 GBP to use the locker. It remains closed if you don't pay, meaning the floor is covered in everybody's bags and stuff. There are no headlights. Only 2 power outlets in the room and none in the bathroom (remember to bring you're adapter too!). Bathroom light and the room light switches are beside each other and they're not signed, so it's easy to confuse them. This is especially annoying if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Beds are small - if you're taller than 1.7 m you're in trouble...

Cheap prices double ensuite room. However ...Tiny Tiny room and nasty bathroom with no view at all. Had room 605.Room was So small. Bathroom was even smaller, darker and dirtier. The fan stayed on all night... Thank God for earplugs! Breakfast was simple plain but perfectly adequate. Staff were always happy to help and personable. Ok for just the 1 night.

Wonderful place to bring students because the bottom floors are dorm rooms for kids and the top Floor has private rooms for teachers...all at a reasonable fee. The staff is excellent every year even though there is high turnover among them. I have come here for 8 years and never been disappointed. Close to Hyde Park and a 15 minute ride to Oxford Circus, 10 minute walk to Notting Hill. Can't go wrong...unless you need. Lots of space in your private room because the rooms are small.

Since our flight got delayed, I called the hotel staff to let them know I was going to be one day late and asked them to keep the reservation as it is. They agreed but said they would still charge me for the first no show night. They told me to talk to Expedia regarding refund for the first night which is fine. I then called Expedia and they were looking in to it. So we arrive the next day to check in and guess what, they gave our room away. When I asked them why they said well they weren't sure if we were going to show up. What? After traveling from California to London I was told by the gentleman that he gave my room away. Here's the worst part, they are now SOLD OUT which means they have no room for us at all. I was left to figure out where we were going to stay next and no help was offered. I do not recommended booking at this hotel.
