Lovely visit in London. The location of the hotel is perfect, inly fee steps away from the main attractions, restaurants and shopping district. The renovated rooms are very stylish and reflect perfectly the soul of the city. I will definitely go back to stay at the Sheraton Grand in Piccadilly. Thank you
When we first arrived we were made to feel pretty unwelcome as there was some confusion over our the payment of our booking. After about half an hour this was sorted out - perhaps the manager could have come out of the office and spoken to us? Our room was comfortable and luxurious - it was also quiet which was nice considering the location. Our breakfast was one of the worst I have ever had in a hotel. We were told the breakfast included in our rate was a buffet breakfast in the Club Lounge and that if we wanted a full English breakfast it would be £25 per head extra each. When the room rate is circa £400 you would not expect to have to pay more for a cooked breakfast and this was a real disappointment. We went out after a small breakfast and went to the Burberry cafe off Regent Street which was fabulous - friendly staff, stylish decor and good food.
I spent 3 days at this hotel this last week. The rooms are small but luxurious. The bedding is excellent After returning from meetings around 4 pm, I was disappointed that my room had not been serviced. The staff were all excellent however if I had one comment, it would be that staff wearing jeans in the restaurant and bar dropped the image of the facilities.
I stayed at Sheraton Park Lane twice this year. The hotel is not easy to spot because there is no big sign and the entrance can easily be missed. The front desk is at the back of the hotel so it is a long walk from the main entrance. There is a restaurant that occupies almost the whole ground floor, taking a lot of space leaving a slim walkway to the front desk area that is also obstructed with low level steps along the way. The reception area is not large but the front desk people are well trained in providing excellent customer service. There are only 2 tiny elevators that are not connected together and they are not high speed elevators. During one of my stays, one of the elevators was out of service which took really long to get up or down. The rooms are nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable but the pillows had absolutely no firmness. The linens are of good quality and the comforter is heavy enough to sleep in the cool temperature of the room. The bathroom is nicely designed but the floors are ice cold and the shower is a hand-held sprayer. On separate stays, once the sink was sort of clogged and the other time, the toilet flush didn't work properly. I would have thought housekeeping would have reported it to be fixed but likely not. The toiletries are excellent. The back entrance exits into a maze of narrow streets that is hard to find a way out but there are many interesting shops in the area. I would stay at Sheraton Park Lane again.
I stayed in the Classic room which was beautiful and modern. Heard no noise whatsoever. Comfy bed with smooth sheets. World class service from almost all the staff, really nice people who never hesitated to go above and beyond and who have a naturally pleasant personality. The check-in was simply marvelous, sorry can´t remember the young lady`s name. Great room service and food and cleaning. The breakfast buffet at Mercante was superb, not a huge selection of food but high quality and there were almost always staff ready to offer fill up of coffee and orange juice. Only one lift was working and it was painfully slow. WiFi perfect. There´s no supermarket in the vicinity. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. Location is the best. This Hotel definitely lives up to its five stars! Job well done!
I'm super disappointed with the hotel. I feel lucky that I was only there for one night. Let's start on a good note. The room was clean and nice, anything else.... Nope! Now the list of the very very disappointing parts: - the stairs STANK of sewage, to the point of us actually heaving. - for the price of the room there wasn't even a vanity kit - shampoo and other bits are of a poor quality - room service took over an hour to arrive - pillows are flat and empty - reception was so busy and one of the receptionists walked away from the desks - room cleaners just walked into the room after knocking and opening the door before we even had a chance to answer - made many requests to reception to get only 1 out of 5 things answered I will never stay here again after this experience. What a shame
Stayed one night when on business travel. Nice location on corner of parklane. Easy to arrive via green park underground station. The upgrade upon check-in was appreciated and the executive room was well appointed with good workspace and bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. Enjoyed the lobby/lounge for some drinks and breakfast in the morning. Very good property for business needs but I think I can enjoy the facilities for leisure as well.
My mum & I went for afternoon tea here yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The service was outstanding, the food was lovely and to top it off there was a fabulous lady playing the harp. The lady serving us was called Anna. She was so lovely and so helpful. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend.
In October 2017 and May 2017 I was a Guest, along with 4 other colleagues at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel. With both visits, on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, a LARGE group, booking the Hotel would arrive. In October, I was due to depart on a Tuesday, along with my 4 colleagues, all Individual travelers. On Monday, I proceeded down for Breakfast, and the Quiet & Tranquil Environment was Replaced with LOUD & ROWDY guests, BLOCKING the NARROW hallways and Public areas of this Older Property. "HEY JOE" one man SHOUTED out LOUDLY !!!!!! Also, the level area to Reception, next to the windows, was BLOCKED with a table for the Group !! !! A Public area BLOCKED ?! ?! Guests would have to proceed UP steps to reach Reception (never mind the Handicapped ). NEVER Mind if you've got a carry-on bag & a Rollaboard bag. "Its ALL about the Group". In the Sheraton Club...the 2 rolling chairs at the 2 Link computers were REMOVED !! !! !! One Guest was DOWN on HIS KNEES...typing, using the Computer. And WHERE, Were the 2 chairs...at the Table BLOCKING one access to Reception (the Level area) ?! ?! I don't see Anything " Luxurious " about this --REMOVAL-- of chairs from the computers, in a Deluxe Hotel. Also, the table with a Selection of International Newspapers was GONE, to make way for the Blocked area with tables. With this ROWDY Group and the Hotel REMOVING chairs & BLOCKING an Important access area/corridor...we 5 checked-out and Left a day EARLY. My 4 colleagues, went to the Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill and returned to "Tranquility, Quality & NO Rowdy Guest". I went to Marriott Heathrow...ditto with "Tranquility, Quality & NO, NO Rowdy/LOUD guests' to contend with. We experienced similar in mid-May at this Property-- Loud/Rowdy, public area BLOCKED off, etc.
I very much enjoyed this hotel. I do love my Starwood’s and this was right up my alley. The staff was wonderful and the room was very nice. Impeccably clean and updated. Great location in London, central to everything and just across the park from Buckingham Palace. It is a little posh on the stuffy side for those who have a preference.
