Beautiful building in a long row of terraces. Close to Paddington underground. Staff very helpful and friendly. Clean and quite modern. Unfortunately that's all that was good! The room was so small, every time you walked (sidled) along the bottom of the bed you banged the television which was on the wall. There was just no room to move! With 2 people sharing one had to get out of the way so the other could get past. The bathroom was tiny and the shower plug hole kept blocking even though they came and unblocked it once! Breakfast was very limited. Tea and coffee in pump pots stewing! Plenty of staff in the kitchen but they couldn't make a pot of tea!! Long life milk for tea! What's wrong with fresh milk? Very hard boiled eggs or scrambled eggs that had been sat in the warmer since breakfast began! I could go on and on and on.............
The room was so small there was nowhere to put our suitcase except on the floor next to the bed so you had to step over it to move around the room. The breakfast was bad, stewed tea fŕom a flask with long life milk. Very limited hot food, cold and hard scrambled eggs, overcooked sausages.
Reasonably priced, close to Paddington tube station so getting about was easy, the hotel is nice clean and modern, the room was lovely and very comfy, modern and well equipped. We only had breakfast on the first day and due to the fact that all the hot things were only warm and the tea and coffee which is self served from insulated jugs was Luke warm, we decided not to to bother again, the 2 kitchen girls were really miserable also. A good little cafe around the corner serving very reasonably priced breakfasts. Overall good stay, ideal location, not too expensive (for London)
We found this hotel through an internet search and were drawn by the price per night.Requesting a low floor we were allocated a room on the third floor which was compact and bijou to say the least .We had approx. 6 inches space around the bed to navigate the trip to the bathroom which was quite tricky in the night to say the least .We were there for 2 nights so we accepted what was given ,only room for one chair so I got to sit on the bed.All facilities were acceptable ,tea coffee etc provided and a decent shower .We had continental breakfast included ,but was pleasantly surprised to have hot choices too in sausage ,scrambled egg and beans .We would stay here again but only for short stays maximum 2 nights unless they have bigger rooms. I would just like to thank them for returning my spectacles that I left in the room .
The ideal location for shopping and sightseeing, this hotel is very good value. The room, although small, was modern and clean. The shower was one of the best we have experienced. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast is extremely good value. We would certainly go again.
The location is great when you arrive by train from Heathrow Airport. The triple room is large enough for 3 person. Hot water came with good pressure from shower. The bed was a pleasant to sleep. This room did not have a window. The roof window was covered and it leaked when it was raining. Breakfast was good enough.
Great quality for the money. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are new looking, and you can't beat the location. The staff was very helpful. The woman on duty when I arrived let me check in two hours early, which she really didn't have to. When I came back to the hotel another day and found my takeaway meal didn't come with utensils, another member of the staff nipped down to the breakfast room and got me a fork. My only wish would be for a "do not disturb" sign; the housekeeping staff come every day whether you want them to or not. While I have lived in dorm rooms that were larger than the combined size of the bed/bath area of my room here, it was still enough space for one (medium-sized) traveler. The bathroom was a little cramped, but the rainfall shower head was nice and the water was always nice and hot. The bed was comfortable without being overly soft. The only two things I really missed were an in-room safe and a mini-fridge. I can understand the lack of a fridge due to space constraints, but the wardrobe has enough room for a safe, I think. Breakfast was more than adequate for the needs of the hungry tourist; toast, cereal, eggs, sausages, beans, croissants, and yogurt were all on offer. The wifi was a little flaky (they probably need a repeater for the upper floors), but free wifi is still free wifi. The hotel is two blocks from Paddington Station, which is where the express train service from Heathrow lets off. Paddington is also on three major Tube lines, has numerous bus stops around it, and has rail connections to Windsor and Oxford if you want to do a day trip. There's a bunch of restaurants in the area, a few banks, and a Sainsbury's and a Marks & Spencer's in the station if you want to buy snacks. All in all, I would stay here again. I'm not sure how more than one person would fare in the largest rooms, but as a single traveler on a budget I got more than my money's worth.
From Heathrow London Airport to Paddington station, we used Heathrow Express lines and walk around 5 mins to the hotel. My superior family room is for 4 people. It is convenient to the london attractions include oxford and Bicester outlet village.
I really enjoyed this hotel. I stayed at another place nearby and found this one to be more comfortable and the staff was wonderful. The location couldn’t be better. I slept great as the bed and pillows were comfortable. I would go back again!
You can take Heathrow Express to paddington station about 15 min.,and walk to the hotel about 5 min. This area is the center to go anywhere, save time. The price include breakfast, it is good for rush hour to go somewhere on time.
