Staff were very welcoming, very near Paddington, nice area. Our room was in the basement with no window - but it was fine as a base for sight seeing - shower was very good. It was a cheap room and all in all it was a perfectly fine for our stay.

Staff pleasant, close to tube station and high streets, WiFi good, room ok bed comfortable, tea/coffee facilities - only negative comments are that a glass had to be used to fill kettle as it didn’t fit under the tap, the curtains were too short letting light in and there was a smell like cat’s wee in shower room.

Basic accommodation, we had a room for a family of 5. They were all crammed in the same room. Bathroom was clean. The elevator was very small, we had to make two trips with our luggage. There is no real handicapped access that I could see. We had a senior that needed assistance to get up the narrow stairs.

Room, bathroom and bed linens were clean. The beds were comfortable. It was a small room, with an extremely small bathroom/shower, but if we wanted bigger amenities then we would have to pay a higher price. It was good value for the price.

We booked this hotel for its position close to Paddington station and it is close to the station and good value. We arrived at 9pm and left at 6.30am so we literally wanted a bed and bathroom which we got. However the room was barely bigger than a single and we had to leave our cases just inside the door as there wasn’t room to put anything else anywhere. The bathroom was very small and the lift only just fitted two of us and bags. Do not stay here if you don’t want to be very cosy. The sash windows are single glazed and not well fitted so expect noise from the road.

really impressed first visit

This is a budget hotel but all the basics are right clean, comfortable bed, power shower in room 303 anyway, good lighting, large kettle with tea and coffee facilities. Ok the walls are a bit thin but it's a budget hotel in a converted townhouse. Definitely the best London budget hotel I have stayed in. 24 hour access with key card

I loved the location being so close to Paddington Station and walkable to Hyde Park. The beds were comfortable and the hotel very quiet. Only negative was the shower. It was impossible to shower without wetting my hair. Slight inconvenience. Otherwise all good.

You could tell it was a very old building (by Canadian standards) but was well taken care of. The halls were very narrow and the lift was tiny which didn't quite go to the floor we were on and all that made it difficult to navigate our bags to the room. Location was great, a few blocks to Paddington station and a quick walk to Hyde Park. The shower was very small with a very large shower head that was comical in proportions.
