Holiday Inn Presidential Little Rock Downtown3.0 out of 5.0

Two seniors on a road trip from California spent two nights in Little Rock at the Holiday Inn Presidential. This is the fourth of 12 hotels that we have stayed at on this trip. The hotel is located about 4 blocks from the River Market area –which has shops and restaurants and we felt safely walking there and back. Hotel has plenty of parking. Breakfast buffet is typical but one can order off a menu; breakfast not always included in rate but is not expensive. One night we had a light dinner in the bar. The Clinton Library is about one-half mile walk from the hotel. Restaurant staff were great but some of the desk staff were friendlier than others. Self-service laundry machines take credit cards, a nice feature so you don’t have to have quarters available. Convenient to highway.
Stayed one night and the room was clean and quiet. Hotel is in a great location, close to downtown. They also offer a shuttle service. Lobby of the hotel is really nice and there is a lot of parking. Would stay again.
It was a decent, clean hotel room. Public areas could have been a bit cleaner. Night clerk was not the liveliest fellow. Overall, not bad especially for a Priceline deal. Wish it had a free breakfast like 2.5 star hotels.
We stayed for one night, on our way to another destination. Fast check in, nice location, décor, cleanliness and comfort. We had no issues as overnight guests. Check out was fast, also, as we had booked on line and prepaid. I am an IHG member, so was offered more points or a snack. I had the munchies, so I took the yummy snack from their little store.
Very nice renovation and accommodations. Friendly staff and a decent room. The downsides are obvious, its noisy from the Interstate and unless you're dining at the hotel then you are stuck in the 'hood. There was adequate security and I felt safe on the property but I was aggressively panhandled at a convenience store only a few blocks from the hotel. I might try another place next time I'm up there. But I do say the staff makes every effort to give premium customer service.
I'd REALLY like to give this hotel 3.5 stars... The problem is, we're forced to choose between "Average" and "Very Good". The hotel is conveniently located on I-40 but very close to the I-30 interchange, so great location. It's clean enough (Very Good), and has sufficient parking with sufficient lighting (also Very Good). There are not adequate restaurant options nearby in my opinion (so Average), and while the rooms are comfortably-sized, the bathrooms are very, very small (again. Average). I would most definitely stay here again, but I can't quite give it a 4 star rating. It's an above average, average! =)
Stayed here one night on business and there were a ton of guests and practically no staff. It took 25 minutes to check in and get a room. One person working the front desk. Another male employee was working he just decided that the one guy was doing a great job by himself and he proceeded to continue on his break walking back into the office just to the left of the check in counter. Nothing makes me more upset then when a business makes you wait to give them money!
So they claim that this hotel was renovated in March 2017, Maybe just a paint job. It looked pretty decent but the carpets were stained by the elevator and in our room. No coffee in the lobby, because of the restaurant located inside. The staff was not friendly at all. NONE of them said anything to you when you leave or come in. They were always sitting down behind the desk looking at the computer. The night guy was asleep on the couch with the tv on the next morning.
All the things you expect from a Holiday Inn: clean, friendly, and accommodating. However, two things stand out at this place: 1. It was very well priced and had fabulous decor (presidential items) in keeping with its proximity to the Clinton Library. 2. The shuttle driver was AMAZING! He was just supposed to take us to the river walk to eat dinner. Instead as we asked questions along the way he turned aside and took us on a prolonged tour of Little Rock - history, facts, current trends and oddities were part of this humorous and spontaneous trip to dinner and then back. It made our stay in the city.
The newly renovated hotel is modern and beautiful. The room is clean and well lit, and the beds are so comfortable! Additionally the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers secure underground parking garage for guests as well as a restaurant that has an ample menu with decent prices. The wifi is fantastic and works throughout the property flawlessly. I would highly recommend a stay here.
