with the addition of landscaping in the front of the hotel, say Bamboo or thickly planted cypress or juniper shrubs, the horrible roar of the highway in front of the hotel can be blocked. That is the single most devastating issue, the continuos roar coming from the truck drivers going down the highway. PLEAe pleasE PLEASE PLANT A THICK TREE LINE TO BLOCK THE NOISE !!!!!
Loved the comfort of the bed. Didn't like random people knocking on the door asking if i had things
I liked that the parking lot was well lit, close to the front doors of the rooms and had walkways that easily reached every vehicle. The rooms were neat with exactly what I would expect: fridge, microwave, TV, ample lighting and enough space to move around in. I was pleased with my stay.
I should have guessed for the price what I was getting into. The staff are nice and accommodating but the place is very dated and old. I actually thought I was booking a different hotel but mixed up the names. Bedding was clean but there were holes in the fitted sheet, a thin duvet type blanket (which is intended to have a cover) and another sheet on top of that. Hotel is right off of I-30 and the doors don't block out any sound so heard the interstate traffic all night long. You could tell the staff was trying to make it clean but didn't have much to work with in the facilities themselves. Wouldn't go back again.
Hotel room generally dated, especially the bedding--it appeared the mattress and padding were the same as those originally installed when the hotel was built 30 years ago; I felt queasy sleeping on them. The outer rubber areas of the fridge appeared to not have been cleaned in the 25 years it has been there. Only bath and face towels were provided--no hand towel, then those used the first night were removed, but not replaced, leaving only a clean bath towel for the second night.
