The George Limerick Hotel

It was perfectly located for our visit. The staff were great and the hotel was very well maintained.

Would be great if you were looking to be in the city for Saturday night and wanted to party all night! The noise of the surrounding area went on until 2 a.m., so would be great place for partiers. I wanted to sleep though, so that was not so great for me. Price of hotel was too high. Had to pay for breakfast as well. Also paid for parking. Most expensive hotel I stayed at in Ireland, and the most dissapointing.

Slight mixup during check in but they went above and beyond to fix the issue. Nice modern hotel in the heart of Limerick.

Well placed for the city centre, convenient to a number of restaurants (although the in-hotel one, Da Vincenzo's, is excellent). Room was comfortable and well-maintained, though a bit dated. Excellent, helpful staff.

The beds didn't have any fitted sheets so the regular bedsheets that were on kept coming off. No air conditioning in the room and we were given a small desk fan. They have a good restaurant on the premises. It wasn't great but not terrible either for the price and location.

The hotel was in a great location. The hallways were pretty ratty with very old carpet. Very outdated. The rooms were better. The staff seemed frazzled a lot and not as friendly as most of the friends we've met. it still met our recommendations and probably would stay there again.

very helpful to allow us early check-in good food, great location

We loved this nice little hotel in the heart of Limerick. The decor is modern and eclectic but not cold or intimidating. The room is comfortable and clean. The reception staff was welcoming and breakfast food was good and filling. There are also lots of restaurants around the hotel and only a block from the river where there are more choices. I wish we had more time to spend around the area.

Comfy bed, kink staff, great breakfast, easy walk from train station.

Good location. Modern room. Rory at the front desk is very helpful. Appreciated the laundry facilities. lovely breakfast. Great value and would return again.

It was nice but I wouldn't call it 4 star. Clean and curteous. Suffered a bit from noise - both street partying at 1:00 AM on a Thursday and a very loud bar band till midnight in Friday night. Had to close the windows which helped but didn't elimnate it. Great location for a downtown hotel.

The George was very modern and hip. It's in a nice location close to restaurants and shopping. We did not go to the bar or restaurant but they looked nice. We stopped here for one night to be close to Shannon airport for our early morning flight. The hotel was hosting a party with a DJ in the bar. The problem is that the bar is at the center of the hotel and all interior rooms look down onto the dance floor. We stayed on the 6th floor and our windows were shaking from the music. Despite complaints, the music remain excessively loud until ~1:30 AM. This might not be every weekend but I don't think I would recommend this hotel for families/people who need an early night in.

Great hotel and very comnfortable. Parking is only covered until 7AM which is not very convenient

Overall smooth and positive experience. Free parking helps

This was the only air conditioned room we had during our two week stay in Ireland! The staff bent over backward to help us find transport to Foynes, but the timing just wasn't right. Would recommend.

Hotel staff was very nice parking is a little confusing. I had a great view of nothing. Food was a little pricey.

Reception was very hospitable and made great recommendations on food and local pubs w/music! Excellent service and location (although tricky to find bc entrance in on the side- just a heads up for people driving in circles like us) overall- excellent stay!

I booked a super double but got a triple which made for a very cramped room, nothing like the photos on the website. The beds were hard enough that we slept on the duvets using the spare blanket. No mini bar or movie channels either although I don't think those were promised. Anyway, I was looking forward to a little luxury after staying in guest houses in Scotland and having traveled to Shannon but next time I'll pay more to make sure I get the comfort I needed at that point being a spoilt American :-)

Our second stay at the George in the past two years - both have been excellent experiences. It is centrally located in Limerick and close to pubs (including some right across the street), restaurants, and public transportation. Staff is excellent and the rooms, although a bit small, are very clean and comfortable - many are air conditioned which is unusual in the city. Hotel restaurant is convenient for early breakfasts when much of surrounding area's cafes and restaurants have not yet opened. Limerick is an excellent location to travel out to coast and other locations within western Ireland. Will stay there again next time we go.

This hotel is quite lovely, but has a 2nd floor disco on Saturday nights with loud music and a DJ that runs from 10 pm to 1:30 am. Unfortunately, because we stayed only one night (Saturday) and were on the 3rd floor, we barely slept. I did bring this to the attention of the staff at check-out, and they seemed proud to be the hosts of this noisy event. It's a nice hotel, but with misplaced priorities.
