The hotel was nice rooms were comfortable staff were friendly food was good but wasn't keen on the location, overlooking a halting site! Lovely heated seat outside in a smoking area, plenty to do in limerick city
Arrived after a hard day's work. the receptionist on both arrival and departure was so rude and ignorant-no personality and made no effort on making conversation. The room was very basic and cold. bathroom was dirty with faeces staining . I didn't use it I used the one down near the lobby. Will not return!!! the management here need to up there game!!
Upon check in Receprionist greeted us . Friendly manner -ok The reception lobby nice interiors. I personally think that the spa leisure center location is a bit awkward as it's close to the grill main bar as guest walks pass by the restaurant with their clothes for swimming ( but no big deal just my personal opinion). Our room has a problem- it just plain and boring nothing pleasant or memorable about it. Have booked via bookings.com and mentioned that we're staying as we are celebrating our 13th years wedding anniversary . We didn't get any upgrade or anything. Lavatory has a slight problem the water doesn't come down to the sink. I have reported it to the housekeeper on the corridor (Mary) which she attended my complaint and had it fix by a maintenance. So that's just ok- We had dinner at the restaurant and was served by a gentleman who I forgot to get his name . He is friendly and polite . As well as the other lady who served us as well our extra orders . Breakfast the next day is actually good. Although it's not manned . As waiting staff inside the kitchen most of the time. We just walked in and get on with breakfast . Our toilet tissue was almost half . It wasn't a full new toilet tissue. No face towels and shower room very small . We stayed in room 103. No toiletres shower cap . No information folder in the drawer about the hotel . Just a room service menu. Of course I realized it's a 3 star hotel so it's lacking those above mentioned essentials. We have stayed in lots of hotels local and abroad. 3star ratings have all the essentials I've mentioned . Since we only stayed on one night .. I did not made a fuss to report our experience to the Manager . And it's our wedding anniversary too but did not get any upgrade. That is why nothing special about our stay . Except the breakfast and dinner and the liesure center we enjoyed . We will def come back if they go for the 4* rating.
I was excited to see we had room with a balcony on the front of the hotel, looking out over the car park and road. Didn't know there were balconies. I could see horses running around in a field across the street, and a goat walking down the sidewalk. The room was clean and comfortable. There was no place to plug in our cell phones to charge, so we had to unplug a lamp. The breakfast was good, except for the scrambled eggs were very runny. Like egg soup. The staff were all very nice, and I would stay here again.
A large hotel on the outskirts of town, just off the southern ring road. The location doesn't look too good - near retail and industrial units and opposite what looks like a trailer park. But don't be put off by that. The hotel doesn't suffer from any traffic noise problem. Positives. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped. A large double bed plus excellent TV and free Wi-fi. The spa was great although it hosts aquarobic classes etc in the early evening. The bar and bistro were also entitle acceptable. Although the menu wasn't fine dining it offered the usual basic items at reasonable price. Just what the traveller wants. Staff were all friendly and efficient. There is a secure underground car park that could be a big plus if you have a high value car. Possible negatives. The hotel is a 20 to 30 minute walk from the town centre, although I am sure there is a bus service. That may be inconvenient for somebody arriving by public transport or who is mobility impaired. Would we stay here again?. Sure, if we ever return to Limerick.
Stayed here for the second time with friends the first time was with my boyfriend do not stay here if you want a romantic night away the rooms are very basic and to stay here with friends I also wouldn't recommend it as it's very over priced and you'll need to pay €10 into town. The staff on reception are so unhelpful and very unfriendly and seem to have no interest in accommodating their guests. What a waste of money.
Have stayed here on a few occasions as we travel to limerick on a regular basis I have to say it is a delight to stay here for the weekend always been welcomed by the staff. The rooms are very comfortable and always have a great night sleep. Breakfast is great and a lot of choice. I know in some reviews people have said they felt unsafe because of the location however as we have stayed here at different times during the year we have never in any way felt unsafe. A special thanks to Noel in the bar fantastic guy friendly chat. We are staying here at present so this review is based on us been here now and we will be back a few more times this year and will be booking here.
Stayed here with friends. Lovely hotel with great atmosphere. Really nice interior and bedrooms clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and such a fantastic range from cereals to fruit to hot breakfast and PROPER coffee... drinks in the hotel were pretty pricey but we expected that, we had dinner there too and that was also delicious! One problem was the staff, they appeared unfriendly and not that inviting and this is such an important trait to a hotel.. the service at dinner was poor and when we got our food we were never asked were we ok for anything else, and also our plates were not cleared by the waiters when we were finished...and we would of had dessert... it wasn’t even busy when we called and there was a lot of staff on, it just seemed lazy! it’s called the hospitality business for a reason. Other than that I can’t complain.
Lovely hotel stayed for one night, friendly staff, great pool area, breakfast fantastic great selection of food. Bed really comfy and room very spacious.well run and very clean. Lovely stay would definitely return.
