We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms are spacious and clean with tea and coffee facilities. I would probably ask to stay away from the front of the hotel as the road is a busy one and the rumble of trucks might irritate you!! They do hold many competitions in site for the Irish dancers, go and pop your head in the door and take a look it’s great to see. The food in the pub attached to the hotel is very good value for money and taste great. There is a shop over the road you can call into if you need anything. I would say you’d need a car to get anywhere as unsure on buses. This hotel isn’t near any towns, you’d need your car to be able to sight see etc. We look forward to our return and would recommend this hotel.
This is the second time i have stayed here. I was attending a tattoo convention held in the hotel. The staff are very friendly and accomadating. The rooms are spacous and clean. The best are comfortable and The bathroom is basic but suitable for our needs. The food in both restraunts is very high quality and The bar is lively and The entertainment fun.
This is an average motel style hotel but the restaurant is excellent and the staff is helpful and friendly. The pub/ restaurant had live music and the luncheon buffet was outrageously good, home cooking. There is also an Indian restaurant (!) oh my(!) but it opens only for dinner and a Starbucks that serves espresso and cappuccino. Rooms are nothing to remark about.
Our daughter was recently admitted to University Hospital Limerick and we needed somewhere nearby to stay - luckily this hotel was recommended. We originally booked for 2 nights, but had to extend this to 4 and then to 6 nights. Lucia and Aoife in reception were most helpful in assisting us with the extensions. We were also fortunate to have a lovely quiet room/suite (room 348) which was very clean and spacious (nice sitting area), which was great when staying for a longer duration. The hotel is ideally located for visiting the Hospital - 10 to 15 minute walk - and a further 10-15 minute walk to the Crescent Shopping Centre. Also Bus Stops very close by, which get you to City Centre & University of Limerick. Just across from the Hotel is a small local shopping area - supermarket, bank, chemist, etc. The Hotel itself also has a lovely tea/coffee rooms, which is also the Curry House Indian restaurant. The bar is known as Off The Bone and has a very nice food menu - we ate here on a few nights and were very pleased with the food we had and with the service. Whilst we were probably not in the best mindset to enjoy our stay, we only have positive things to say about all aspects of the South Court. Thank you to everyone there for looking after us during our stay.
I’m at the South Court often for work. On my past few stays, I’ve been impressed with the kind and helpful service of Robert & Ben, especially at breakfast in the mornings. They make sure my coworkers and I are well taken care of, and do it with a smile. Great job, Robert & Ben!
Stopped in with elderly parents. Spacious, lovely decor, excellent staff member Teresa welcoming and helpful. Teas coffees scones and toasted sandwiches all served with a smile and very tasty. Starbucks coffee!! Lots of parking.
Staff & Service provided is excellent. It is always a pleasure to visit the hotel for business meetings, staff events and of course I have also introduced some of my friends to the hotel - they also love it. It is very central to our work place and parking is a plus. Of course, the General Manager and Management are always there to greet and have the chat which is very welcoming.
When I arrived at the hotel I was asked personal details such as disclosing my age and the reason why I was booking the room. I was told by the receptionist that this was company policy. I was woken up several times during the night by staff in a staff room across from my bedroom. There was also no hot water in the shower. When I complained in the morning I was told I could wait until 9am to speak to the manager (I was on a work trip and started work at 7am) so I told them to email me. I was told by a different receptionist in the morning that I was asked personal details because they were ‘sussing’ me out. After not hearing anything all day I emailed the hotel and was told that there was nobody available to deal with my complaint.
I went here with my family for Women's Little Christmas and what a great time we had. We booked through Show Tours and we had 2 nights B&B two evening meals and two shows a Joe Dolan anniversary show on Friday and the American Drifters Saturday. Hotel staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, Rooms were spotless and very comfortable beds,Dinners on both nights were lovely and good choice, Breakfast was fabulous some thing for everyone waiting staff were brilliant at dinner and breakfast well done.this Hotel is 5min's from Cresent Shopping Center and 10min's from Limerick City. There is a Centra shop across the road and Take away as well if you didn't feel like eating in the Hotel.Definitely will return and could recommend this Hotel
The location is good, just of the main roads and easy to get to from Shannon airport. It does not give a welcoming feel and it needs something to bring it to a higher level. It has the infrastructure but at present it makes an average Bed and Breakfast. OK for the one night. Breakfast room lacks warmth; it has the feel of a roadside cafe. The breakfast food is not attractive. It has the same ingredients as better hotels but is not well presented. Slightly cold. Overall the hotel appears to lack supervision or management. None visible on my stay. Good value bar lunch and good barman in the evening.
