I stayed here for a couple of nights while travelling for work. Overall, it’s a good hotel — clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The check-in process was easy, with the option to check in prior to arrival and complete self check-in on site. A staff member was available and very helpful, which made for a smooth arrival experience.
The only real issue during my stay was with the restaurant. On entering, it wasn’t clear whether guests should wait to be seated, order at the bar, or just sit down. On the first night, I asked at the bar and was told to sit down, and while the food and overall experience were fine, I had to go up to pay my bill. The staff seemed friendly but were more focused on chatting with each other than on guests.
The second night was much worse. I walked in with no greeting, went to the bar to ask about ordering, and was told to sit down, but after waiting around 15 minutes with no acknowledgement, I had to go and ask to be served. The food tasted good, but the service really let it down. There seemed to be no structure or system in place — someone greeting and seating guests would make a big difference.
I also had to wait again to pay, eventually doing so at reception. I did receive an apology on checkout, which I appreciated, but overall the restaurant service needs improvement to match the otherwise high standards of the hotel.
