We stayed here for 4 nights and were extremely pleased with this hotel. All staff were welcoming and helpful from reception to bar and waiting staff. The hotel was clean and comfortable and is well furnished. The fact we were traveling fair distances and arriving back late meant that unusually we ate in the hotel. We were really pleased with the quality of the meals served and the service was excellent. The restaurant is obviously popular with local people as well but they cope with large numbers with apparent ease. The bar staff are focused and hard working. It is not in the city centre but close to the motorway network to go to Galway,Shannon and Kerry etc and there is a retail park and bus stop right next to the hotel to take you into Limerick for 2 Euros.

We booked a meeting room and from booking we were looked after extremely well. On arrival the Staff at reception were very friendly and professional. We had arranged refreshments on arrival and they were delivered within 5 minutes of settling in the Kemmy Suite. Room was well laid out, spacious and very comfortable. Toilet facilities were very close by. We ordered some food to the room and it was delivered very promptly and was of a very good standard. Overall a very good experience and full compliments to the staff

We booked into the Hotel for a two night stay to celebrate out wedding anniversary and we were delighted to be upgraded to the Bridal Suite compliments of the Hotel. Our experience only got better as everything within the Hotel was just first class. The room was superb and very comfortable. We ate in the bar on both evenings and the service and food was without fault. To top off everything the staff in every way were friendly and helpful. We will most definitely use the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel again.

My husband and I stayed here for two days. The room was extremely clean, the buffet breakfast was the best we had encountered since our arrival a week prior. The front desk clerks were so friendly and hospitable and they went out of their way to assist us with booking tours and answering questions. Although the hotel is outside limerick, there are buses that stop in front of the hotel and it is only a 5 minute ride by car.

We stayed the night of August 9th. The check-in was pleasant and efficient. Our room in the 300s was clean, bright, and very quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and the shower worked perfectly. We ate dinner at Nelligan's in the hotel and were completely satisfied. Nothing like a good dinner and a cold pint or two after driving the roads of the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

A lovely hotel, situated by main roundabout and across from Shopping Centre and Cinema. Rooms were of 3* standard. Staff very friendly and the breakfast (buffet style) was lovely and clearly not left all morning and refreshed regularly. Nice bar and restaurant as well. Will definitely use again.

I'm torn on how to rate this hotel. There are several things about it that are really, really good, but one significant thing that is not so good. First the positives. We were in Limerick for a youth soccer tournament at the University of Limerick. This hotel is just a short walk to the UofL soccer pitch - so it was very convenient. When we weren't watching soccer, we were exploring Limerick and the surrounding areas via public transportation. There's a bus stop right at the hotel! It made getting from the train station in central Limerick quick and inexpensive. The hotel staff is wonderful, consistently friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Their response to basically any request was "Certainly. No problem!" The breakfast is excellent and includes a wide variety of items from a full English breakfast to yogurt, cereals and croissants. Juices, teas, and coffees round out the menu. The food in the pub/restaurant was also excellent. We did not have a bad meal here, and we ate here a LOT during the week we were in Limerick. So why not a 5? Well . . .the room. We had a family room, which in the hotel website pictures looked very nice. I wish we had asked to book that specific room, because the room we had looked NOTHING like it. It wasn't dirty, but it was definitely tired. It was basically a room with a double bed and two twins - all in competition for the title "World's Lumpiest Mattress". In the bathroom, there was a combination shower/tub. The tub was pie shaped, but the bar holding the shower curtain wasn't curved. It cut straight across so when you were taking a shower you had to stay very close to the wall or you had the shower curtain stuck all over you. The light in the bathroom is something right out of a Stephen King novel. When you turn it on, it buzzes and crackles giving one short flash of light, then total darkness, and then it comes on. I was always expecting to see a monster behind me in that short flash of light. Ours was a non-smoking room on the first floor. I don't think the hotel is all non-smoking though because a few days, the hallway stank of cigarette smoke. So there it is. The room wasn't HORRIBLE, but certainly not great either. I'd give the hotel a 3.5 if I could, on the strength of its other attributes.

Stayed here for 2 nights from 26th to 28th July. Check in was friendly and quick. Our room was not so appealing. We were allocated a ground floor room, one of the 300s. The view from the window was of a grass bank. You could just about see daylight. The room was dark, dingy and stank of a mixture of stale smoke and alcohol. The interior was very basic and although tidy, it was not clean. I let it go as I was heading out. Upon my return I was going to make some coffee, the kettle was encrusted with limescale. I boiled it a few times but then rang reception to request a different one. I called reception a few minutes late to request that we move to a different room. Upon more inspection of the room, I discovered dirt and old crumbs of bread under the bed. There was a thick layer of dust around the tea/coffee tray and tv, dirty toilet brush holder caked in dust. In my opinion the room was not serviced as a departure room before our arrival. If it had been, there would not have been as much dust and debris as there was. We were moved to another room and although the room was much brighter and fresher, it still could have been cleaner. While I will praise the housekeeping staff for maintaining the public areas to a very high standard, I feel the same standards are not applied to the rooms and on this occasion I feel justified in making this point. Breakfast was excellent. A great variety for everyone, from cold cuts to cooked breakfasts and everything in between. On checkout I was asked if I had filled out a customer feedback form (which I had). I did speak to the customer service representative and told her of my issue with the uncleanliness of the rooms. I was assured that my issues were taken on board and that she personally would be looking into it and that she would contact me in due course. I was asked for my contact number and email address which I gave. I had included both on the customer feedback form also. Alas I'm still waiting to hear back, almost a fortnight. A very average 4.5/10

Nice place to stay for a weekend trip, spent one night in this hotel for work. Good location and very easy to find whether driving or with public transport. There are different eatery around if you don't want hotel food.

We stayed here for 4 days and would definitely recommend if you are planning a trip to Limerick. The food is great, especially the larger breakfast selection and the rooms very comfortable. Lovely areas to relax outside the rooms.
