This is a great place to stay when going through Las Vegas, NM. The breakfast is great with good variety, rooms are great and easy access to interstate. Traveling on business, I usually stay for two reasons. A good night sleep and a good shower. During my last stay everything was going well, until I went to take a shower and the water was cold. They said they had been having trouble with the water heater and didn't have hot water. During check out as I mentioned I paid good money for the room to have a good bed and a good shower and didn't get the shower. She said "sorry, but I can't help that". I would have expected a discount on the room or something the next time through, however, nothing but, I can't help not having hot water for you!!!!!
We've stayed at this hotel several times while visiting our son because of the quiet location. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are spacious and clean. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and always seemed willing to help make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. Breakfast was included and was a hot meal with multiple selections, cold and hot beverages, and friendly ladies that stop by to chat if you choose to engage them. More than adequate parking, even for larger/longer vehicles if towing a trailer. The parking lot is well lit and safe. Without a doubt, this will again be our go to hotel on our next visit. Note: this hotel is a little pricier than many others in Las Vegas, NM; however, the amenities made it worth the extra cost for us.
I am no longer staying in Las Vegas New Mexico for family, but in the past always enjoyed staying at Holiday Express. Clean rooms, firm beds, good breakfasts, inside pool and business and family oriented
Very neat and clean, good parking, reasonable prices. The kitchen staff did their best when the visiting wresting team hit for breakfast. A real challenge with maybe two dozen teenage wrestlers plus the supporting coaches and cheer leading group.Everything was back to "normal" 30 minutes later. The front desk did give me good advice for Montezuma Hot Springs the afternoon I checked in. Knowledgeable on local attractions. Good place to spend the night.
We have stayed here several times before because it is so conveniently located near I-25. We arrived around 4 pm without a reservation, and were assigned a quiet room on the top (3rd) floor, at the end of the hall. Nothing luxurious here, but it was a comfortable stay. The room was clean, but the toiletries are absolute minimum. One tiny bar of soap and tiny shampoo/conditioner were included. There was no microwave or fridge, but a Keurig coffee maker was in the room. The room was spacious enough to play half court basketball, with two queen beds. Three plastic cups were in the room. There were an adequate number of pillows. Breakfast was good, especially the pork sausage patties and the small omelets with peppers that made them a bit spicy. There were numerous other choices, so they do a nice job with their breakfast. For the convenience, we would stay here again in the future.
Stayed here on the last night of a very long road trip home. Excellent experience. We were road weary and did not feel like going out to dinner so decided to have a pizza delivered. Our room did not have a microwave but one was delivered to our room immediately upon request. Hotel is very conveniently located off of I-25. Young gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating to our request. Our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Good WiFi available. Complementary breakfast was great. Only thing we found wrong with our stay was a strong smoke smell that we were hit with when we got out of our car. Unfortunately the smell was also in our room. Probably brought into the room through the heating unit. Other than the smoke smell our stay was great and we will consider this hotel again if ever in the area.
We stop here often on our way from AZ to CO and have always had a great experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and updated. They also serve an excellent breakfast with many choices. I highly recommend.
We stopped at this hotel in las Vegas New mexico. Have never stopped here before. Very nice hotel. Got checked in fast and easy. Front desk help was very polite. Room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was also very good. Will definitely stay here in the future.
We have been stopping at this hotel for 10 years in our many road trips between Colorado and Arizona. We usually arrive late in the evening after 5-7 hours of driving. In winter, we sometimes have driven through snow. Walking into the lobby of this hotel is like arriving home. The front desk staff is always friendly, courteous and smiling. Our check in is quick and seamless and we are soon in our warm, clean room. The breakfast service is among the best we have found in any hotel. In our many visits over 10 years, I have always found the hotel to be super clean - Always. More often than not, when we are there, the hotel is close to fully occupied. On a stormy winter night, it is an oasis for desperate travelers. It is always quiet. We travel a lot as we are semi retired. Have stayed in many hotels in many states. This is one of the best. I always enjoy staying at a hotel that was designed and built well. These hotels hold up well over time and continue to look good for many years after they were built. This is such a hotel. When we first stayed here 10 years ago, I noticed that it was well designed and had been built with quality features. Whenever we are there, I am grateful for those decisions made in the beginning. This building still looks like new after 10 years - inside and out. That makes us feel good and safe. We just left a few days ago and are looking forward to when we will return in the near future. Thank you to Kay and her wonderful staff for such a pleasant stay.
We were tired and in need of showers after two days of canoeing and camping in the Rio Grande Gorge. The first place we came to as we approached Las Vegas along I-25 was the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are nice, the staff is friendly and the breakfast has many of my favorites, including the pancake making machine! The only drawback was when we returned from our pizza dinner downtown, there were only 2 fresh baked chocolate chip cookies left for the three of us. I split one with my son and it was quite delicious.
