In our opinion, this hotel offers just what it promised; it was very quiet, superb meals and highly personable service. This was just what we were looking for and received it in spade loads. The location is away from the main town but is very close to the small commercial centre of Papagayo where there a few bars, shops and a good supermarket. The beaches of Papagayo are a relatively easy 10-15 walk across the cliff tops. The marina is 25 mins walk away on the gorgeous promenade and the town a further 10 mins. In other words, this hotel is ideally located if you want quiet but don't mind and are capable of a bit of daily exercise. Taxi to town approx 5 euros. Bus stop right outside the hotel. The food is superb; only once a meal was cold but this was resolved instantly by the very helpful and friendly staff. The evening meal was a large buffet style starter and dessert but the main course was, if you wished, ordered from a daily changing choice of 5 choices, which was brought to your table under a cloche - nice touch! You had the opportunity to view the main meals when you entered the restaurant, again very useful esp with our children who always had something to eat that they liked. The accommodation is in bungalows. These were clean and had good self-catering facilities. Some of the previous reviews re poorly fitting curtains were true but not important to us. Our main issue was the beds which we found very hard. We had a superior bungalow with a larger patio a hot tub which was very warm! The pool area is lovely and again, very quiet. Technically, it was heated but at this time of year much heat is lost at night so practically it was cold. It was however usable, not just by us but by others too. It just required a quick entry and a big breath. As a famous comedian recently quoted in a sketch, it was "alright when you're in!". Gymnasium was small but always empty, so therefore was excellent. Overall, a very good hotel, with superb staff, which delivered on almost all points. We would come back.

This wonderful place is amazing, you won’t find anything to complain about. Look at the pictures of the resort, it is that stunning. What makes this place stand out though is the staff, I have never been to a place where every one goes out of there way to assist, not in some cynical plastic way, but a warmth that makes you surmise they all must be family. Thank you so much to everyone who made my holiday even more brilliant. Oh, the food is wonderful too!

Writing this review day before we leave so here goes. Stayed in a deluxe superior bungalow & the bungalow itself was spacious & ideal. We was all-inclusive as well. There’s a review from 26/1 which is nearly enough identical on what our thoughts are & it’s a shame the hotel responded to the review but done nothing about it!!! This place could improve on so many points in the review to make this place the ideal holiday. Positive comments So many fantastic staff working here (apart from 1 female bar/food staff who was rude & out of order). I have never tipped so many staff who deserve the high praise. Well done to the hard working guys! Location & quietness (it was so nice) Excellent WiFi Negatives Heated pool? Never!! the only thing heating it up was the sun. My 6 yr old loves swimming & he only went in it once. That says it all!! Food, inconsistent & warm at best. Ordered chef salad at lunchtime on 3 separate occasions & each time the dish was so different!! Need a microwave in the restaurant as the food needed heating up. The meat dishes were always over-cooked in the evenings which was disappointing as the dishes always looked well presented. Nice coffee machine in the room but couldn’t find no supermarket that stocked the capsules!! No DVD player (hotel said in an earlier review that every room has one) Maintenance of the room, curtains hanging off the hooks & don’t shut probably (simple things to fix) Hot water (takes forever to come) Even thou some negatives in there we did enjoy the hotel & would come back.

What a fab place to stay. Food fantastic, but it's the staff that make this hotel. Super friendly and helpful. We were half board and the food was fantastic, lots to choose from. The evening meal did not have many vegetarian options but there was loads of choices on the buffet menu which was served every night. Special mention to lachen and Ivan the two waiters who were superb. All the staff were great but these two gave that little bit Extra. 20 minute walk along the coast to the marina , 40 mins to the town. Great hotel , and superb staff! If I had one tiny moan it would be that the dining area is a bit dark but really I'm nit picking. VFM big time

We went for Christmas an treated ourselves to a superior bungalow . We were given room 2 and on first sights was good , 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms a spacious balcony with jacuzzi over looking the near by village and the sea. However the room was quite basic and in need of a refurbishment , no curtains fit together or were even on the curtain rail, there was black mould on the shower panel in the bath which was not very clean and the towels were like tissue paper. The patio furniture was mis matched, tatty , dirty and ripped. Both bedrooms were very basic in furniture and around the main bed head the wall was damaged. We were very Dissapointed as we had paid a lot to upgrade also as my husband is disabled and has terminal cancer we hoped to watch tv in the evening but no channels apperantly they won't pay to provide them . However the staff were very nice, but they should take a leaf out of the Barcelo chain as we had just returned from there and they are much better both in furnishings and customer relations.

My husband and I spent a week here starting on 14th January. We chose to go all inclusive as the reviews from others were very good. We opted for the superior deluxe bungalow as it has a hot tub/ Jacuzzi on the terrace. I just want to give an honest review so here goes! The bungalow itself was spacious and clean and the terrace large , private and giving excellent views over the rooftops towards the sea. We had huge volcanic mountains to our left and the scenery was stunning . We were really impressed overall with the feel of the accommodation and the outside space was very attractive with flowing pools and whitewashed walls. It was also very quiet and peaceful. Our bedroom had a huge bed (not twins pushed together) which was great and loads of storage space as we had a spare room as well, well equipped accommodation all round! The main bathroom in our bungalow was a little dated and tatty and the hot water supply hit and miss and on enquiry were informed that the plumbing was old and we just had to wait for more hot water- unfortunate that 2 adults don't have enough hot water to shower within 20 minutes of each other. A shame when we had 2 bathrooms . As all inclusive guests we were given a card that we had to present whenever we had food and drink and sign a receipt which seemed a little odd. The food was however of a good standard and well presented with a good choice during breakfast and the evenings , lunch was a little limited (pizza and pasta excellent!!) we were never asked if we wanted desert and they seemed reluctant to ask if you would like more than one drink , we did feel as all inclusive guests they where more interested in guests who were paying . At both lunchtimes and evenings we had trouble getting more than one drink with our meal and we like to spend time over our courses with a couple of glasses of wine which was a shame. Getting served at the bar could be difficult and on more than one occasion they closed the bar before 10pm due to only a few guests being present and you were left having to go to reception to ask for drinks but the bar men were very good and the choice of drinks excellent , they were constantly running backwards and forwards to the restaurant as stock wasn't kept in the bar and worked very hard to keep us all topped up and they were there all day so we didn't blame them for finishing after probably working a 12-14hr day! There was some confusion also about the pool bar opening times and whereto get served and on several occasions we had to wander back and forth just to get a cup of coffee during the day as there were no staff at the pool bar despite us being sent down there by reception. We appreciated that it was low season but that doesn't mean we should have had to struggle to get a drink. We also asked for a bottle of wine to take to our room to enjoy whilst using our hot tub and were told we would have to pay for this but if we wanted wine at the bar that was fine ,which to us seemed stupid and we ended up going to a local supermarket and buying wine so we could spend a few hours relaxing watching the sunset and as wine is very good here worth every euro!. Overall we did enjoy our holiday, the hot tub was wonderful and so relaxing and we felt we were in a little villa rather than a hotel but if we did decide to return to this hotel we would not go all inclusive again. There are enough local restaurants and shops to choose from including the hotel itself where good food and drinks can be enjoyed. We met some wonderful people here and had a great experience of our first time visiting Lanzarote. The local marina is a perfect place to go and relax and have a meal as we did a few times just for a change of scenery. Maybe we were just unlucky that because it was so quiet the standard of service slipped a little which is why I only rated it with 3 stars.

Just returned from a week all inclusive stay. Another wonderful hotel that was astounding and above and beyond what was expected. From the time we arrived to the time we checked out, superb . The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The service was extra special and the food was delicious. The bar staff ,Lahcen and Ivan were so good at their job and made you feel so welcome special. The restaurant staff and Roberto, were very efficient and the chefs were producing some amazing meals. I must say as well, that the actual guests staying at this hotel were wonderful and we made some wonderful friends while we were here and made this holiday extra special.. Well done to all and thank you Iberostar for a Super Holiday.

I spent a week here from 10th January. Staff super friendly, obliging, nothing a bother. Lahcem,Ivan and Roberto made our stay special. Great craic in the little bar singing. Food top class. 5 minutes to start of seafront 6 mile walk. We had a ball. Best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff make it extra special. All of them super friendly. Will be back next year.

Stayed here for a week in August 2017 with my family. The accommodation was super, really loved the bungalows, the space and comfort was just perfect. The staff were lovely generally. Location was good but we found it useful to have a car - some great walks in the area along the coast but closest beach to the hotel wasn't great. We found the hotel to be very quiet, we have stayed in Iberostar hotels several times before, ones with night time entertainment, kids clubs etc, this is quite different as I guess everyone has such large terraces and bungalows that they hang out in their own space. The hot tub type pool was too cold to use, so i guess its a cold tub! My main issue was the food, it was pretty horrible - I am not sure how there are so many positive reviews about the food? The snacks at the bar were limited, cold snacks from a fridge (very basic sandwiches, fruit, some leftover pastries from breakfast). The opening hours for the restaurant were limited also which did not suit us with kids, dinner was served quite late so often we ended up either buying something elsewhere or going out. In general the food was quite repetitive and often cold/ dried out - salads made from leftover veg from the night before, that kind of thing. So in general, lovely location but would not recommend all inclusive due to the quality of the food and the limited availability of it - other Iberostar resorts generally have a selection of options for food and icecream, slushies etc throughout the day, this is not the case here. That said, if I could transplant the bungalow to another of the Iberostar hotels that we have been to that had excellent food options all day long, I would return!

Great place to chill.. Received a very warm welcome at reception.. The bungalow was really spacious, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Very private patio. Went all inclusive.. Well worth it. All the staff are lovely... Can't wait to return.
