I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel. Whilst we stayed as part of an all inclusive package the generous and private apartments had a fully kitted kitchen with outside clothes line and living space with TV/sofas allowing for either self catering or half board as well. We stayed in no 10 and the terrace was huge overlooking the pool and town beyond. When you travel with children it’s always good to have a safe contained space with fridge/kitchen facilities so this was a bonus. We travelled with two five year olds who had their own twin room and bathroom leaving the huge super king sized bed and en suite room to Mum and Dad. The hotel felt quiet and relaxed even though there were other children around. We never had to fight for sun beds – always a huge selection free and often found ourselves with the pool to ourselves. The fact that each apartment has a large terrace and sunbeds meant that many preferred to stay in their own apartment to sunbathe. The Staff are this hotels greatest asset. Always a friendly face and nothing is ever too much trouble. I couldn’t possibly single out one person above others since they were all so welcoming. The kids loved the staff and would high five them or be tickled as they passed them. They got to know many of them by name. We ate in the hotel most days apart from day trips out and can honestly say the food was delicious and varied. We never ate the same thing twice which is so often the case on an all inclusive package. The place is spotless too. There’s a small supermarket less than ten minutes away and one of the most wonderful unspoilt beaches in Papagayo bay a twenty minute walk away. It is possible to drive here too if you have a car. Crystal clear calm waters with great snorkelling. Twenty minutes in the other direction takes you along a promenade (with beautiful views across to Fuerteventura) to the marina and other shops and restaurants. There’s a Saturday market held here (and Wednesday on a smaller scale) selling local crafts/produce amongst the usual market fare. The only niggle I could say was the bad internet connection at the hotel albeit a minor one and completely resolvable. I never really write reviews but this was our first family holiday abroad since having the children and we naturally had certain expectations for it. We were not disappointed and on this basis I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Bocayna village to others.

Cannot fault anything. The staff are amazingly helpful, the food was excellent and the cocktails were all freshly made. We had bungalow 1 and the terrace was big enough for a party. We had an excellent time and cannot recommend this hotel enough

We stayed half board for 7 nights as a family of 2 adults and a toddler. The bungalow was quiet and spacious. The staff were all very friendly. The food was very good with plenty of choice. We ate quite a lot for breakfast and dinner. Great for a two year old, but it also had the feel of a quite nice restaurant in the evenings. The kitchen in the bungalow was well enough stocked if you wanted to cook for yourself, but we didn't. There is a local supermarket and a good kids playground about 5 minutes walk away. There are also several bike rental shops nearby. A bike with a child seat made it quick and easy to get to the various beaches with a 2 year old. I would definitely recommend for families or couples wanting to relax and enjoy the weather. I would also recommend as a base for exploring more of the island by bike or foot if you want to burn off some of the calories from all the great food.

Had to visit again second time and just as good as first. The staff are all so friendly and helpful especially Lachan with cocktail making ! He really did make our holiday extra special he knew what we liked and just like last time catered to our needs. Him and David make this five star ! All staff deserve a mention there all helpful, The bungalow is perfect for our family, all get the space we need. The Terrace is stunning, sea view and at night is just so peaceful looking at the stars, it was truly as amazing as I hoped it could be. Food was great. Great choice variety, and again staff went above and beyond. We as a family can only hope we get to visit again really soon. Can't imagine going somewhere else now not sure it will compare

Just come back from a very peaceful and relaxing all inclusive holiday at this lovely hotel. When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of fizz and shown to the bungalow which was very spacious, 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, kitchen diner (with two bottles of wine, one of milk and one of water and a bowl of fruit) , outdoor drying room, small private, contained front garden and a decent sized rear garden and patio (also private and contained) with a view over the roof tops to the sea and the national park. The food was very good and freshly made ( I had steak one night and it was excellent) with a good choice of cold meats and salads , always plenty of fruit. It was table service in the evening ( apart from the starters) but hot n cold buffet for breakfast and lunch. One slight issue was men had to wear long trousers (or anything long, including jogging bottoms! ) in the evening to the restaurant but not smart shorts? Which in 30°heat wasn't pleasant ! (Maybe I'll pack a mini skirt next time I go 😉). The bar which was open from 11 to 11 was very well stocked with a decent section of international brands ie . Bombay Safire gin, Cointreau, Smirnoff and Absolute Vodka as well as local ones , all included in the All inclusive package. Although you could pay extra for certain brands we were quite happy with what there was. The staff were really friendly, attentive and happy to give you directions or info if you needed it. It's was a five minute walk (no steps) to the local Supermarket and shops which would be useful if you were self catering or like us you wanted some extra snacks, drinks etc. There was also a reliable bus service 3 minutes walk away which ran every 30mins to Playa Blanca. Overall we had an absolutely amazing time and will definitely be going again.

We stayed here for 5 nights in October , Playa Blanca is a quiet area so perfect for relaxing as a couple . We had a deluxe bungalow as wanted the hot tub which these have included . Couldn’t fault the accomadation was very spacious and clean , lovely big terrace with sun beds so unless you wanted to use the pool we used these instead . As others have said the staff are friendly and that’s what gives it the higher ratings , we where all inclusive , premium brand drinks are included and cocktails all which where good . I would have given this a 5 star review but for feedback to the hotel please take note of the following regarding food . The hot food was always Luke warm , ideally you need a hotter plate area for putting this on , things like chips are just left on the side some evenings , place some bowls next to the soup area. Why not get the chef to do some hot food cooking each evenings ?, like he does for eggs at breakfast . The teapots ran out each morning and we asked a few times for one . Other than the above few things it was a great stay if they can look at my suggestions then it could be even better ..

Want to say a big thankyou to all the staff at la bocayna village for your help....this was our first holiday with our 3 year old twins and we are so glad we chose la bocayna for our stay....we did want somewhere out of the way but it was cheap enough to get a taxi to the centre €5 each way......we had load of room in our bungalow and ideal if you are with young children.....also we did B&B and would definitely do all inclusive next time as the food was really nice at la bocayna.all the staff are very helpful and very friendly we was sad to go home...:..:we went down to flamingo beach most days and what we found helpful is the sister hotel (lanzarote park)let you use there outside shower before you get back in taxi......as the taxi drivers can be a bit funny if you have sand on you.also the reception there will order you a taxi back up to la bocayna.the only complaint I have is we went to the restaurants which was down the road to the right of the hotel(the only one around that area)it was very expensive and I could not eat my chicken as it was not cooked and when we got our bill it was still on and they try to charge us for things we did not have.we did wish we stayed at la bocayna that night for a meal!.....that's the only bad thing really....I can't wait for my next visit to la bocayna

Quiet hotel ideal for couples but within walking distance to the marina and the main town . Taxi can be booked from reception for 4 euros into town . Accommodation excellent with extra touches of wine and fruit ,attentive staff .

We were in bungalow 9, one of five closest to Reception, and had no problems with wi-fi as others have reported, possibly due to our proximity to the main building. On arrival we were given a glass of sparkling wine while signing various paperwork, we were also given a free (and unrequested upgrade), so had a hot-tub on our patio, which we didn't know about until we looked out from the patio doors. This was very much appreciated after sunbathing and used regularly. We had informed the hotel that we would be arriving late and as the restaurant would be closed would they be able to supply us with a late night snack of sorts. You will see from the photograph what we received, way more than we expected! As has been mentioned many times previously we found all members of staff to be very friendly and helpful, which really made the holiday for us. We had a slight maintenance issue with the gate going into our property, the top hing screws were a bit loose making the door hard to close, this was repaired within a few hours. We were on an all-inclusive basis, and found food and drinks excellent and both exceeded our already high expectations; having previously visited a number of Iberostar hotels worldwide this hotel did not look at all out of place, despite being smaller than the others we've visited! It was really nice to have silver service for the main course of the evening meal, something we have not always had at previous all-inclusive hotels. Being able to pick your main course from a menu was a nice touch, the presentation of the main courses excelled themselves some nights. Who would have thought that beef stew could look like a slice of cake! On a couple of occasions during our stay we received a welcome drink when going for dinner. We were asked by one of the managers if there was anything we could think of that would make our stay better and at the time we couldn't think of anything. A few days later I decided that perhaps a few more coat hangers might make a difference, a mere detail! Furthermore, although our keycard booklet stated that all-inclusive benefits would cease at 12 noon on the day of departure, we were able to have lunch and drinks prior to our 6pm pick-up at no extra charge. We had a great time here, and will certainly consider another stay if/when returning to Lanzarote.

Myself and partner and 3 year old daughter had a fantastic holiday here. Room 41 was really quite with a great sea view. The bungalows are really big and well equipped. The cleaning staff were really friendly and did a fantastic job everyday. All the staff were so great and worked so hard it is impossible to single anyone out. The names I did get were barbara and Karl from reception that sorted out everything we needed. Lahcen at the bar is so friendly and really efficient. I hope the managment realise what great staff they have. Thanks for a great holiday. Aaron from Glasgow.
