Disliked: Cleanliness
I chose this place because of how clean everyone said it was. We got there and it was not clean. The cupboards were dirty. The fridge was dirty. The freezer was dirty. We had to wash pans, silverware, and dishes before we used them because they all had food on them. The floors were not vacuumed or swept. There was hair everywhere. I’m assuming Dog. Hair on my daughter‘s pillow hair on the comforters. The door knob to our room was incredibly sticky. Which grossed us out. Dog mud prints on the out side door.Sadly, when mentioning just the fridge and freezer all I got was an excuse that they have a new cleaning company and an apology. I simply said ok. But they should have done more. It was the only reason I chose this house over dozens. Because so many said it was clean. They did not even try to remedy the problem. We paid for a clean home. If it’s not clean. Do something. Get someone there to clean it or give a few bucks back. When I asked how to get heat upstairs where we were sleeping and it was cold. They never answered my question.I stay at short term rentals several times a year. And I have for several years. This is the first time I’m leaving less than a five star. And believe me there’s been a few issues. But they’ve always been taken care of. This is the first time it seemed like the owner didn’t really have too much concern. Besides this. It’s a decent location. And an old house but quaint.
