Red Roof Inn Lancaster – Strasburg

All good, just the key/card had to be reactivated twice in 3 days stay.

I booked here thinking it was the Red Roof across the street from this one. That one is much better. This one needs renovating inside and out. Parking lots, hallways need much work. Breakfast could be offered. Rooms have no place to hang clothes. Tubs are dangerous - slippery, no hand rail. The location is good, near outlet malls and restaurants.

It was a very cheap price so I didn't expect too much. Parking was available. Plenty of hot water. Wifi worked. TV worked. Bed was fairly comfortable. So I got what I paid for!

The couch in our room was very dirty. The staff was not very helpful and the room was very poorly lit

I got a really good deal on Obitz for this hotel less than $50. This was one of those Motels built in the 60s or 70s so i knew what to expect when booking the room. The Staff was very friendly. The room it self was dated. Oddly enough it had a new large flat screen tv and high end bathroom fixtures but the rest of room was a little worn out. The walls were a little thin. I could hear the person above me coughing and walking around. You are in Amish county so the area is safe. For $50 it was worth the room, but if i had to pay more i would have to pass. I might stay their again if i got a good deal, but would not recommend it to others since I am willing to put up with more to get a good deal.

Our stay was ok! Our check-in wasn't that great. We arrived at 3pm and were given the key cards to our room only to find the room still being cleaned. We decided to go get some dinner while they finished cleaning the room. When we arrived later that evening the room was still not done. We went to the front desk and were given a different room. When we arrived at the room the door was wide open and had not been cleaned. We headed back to the front desk and were told the the cleaning staff had left for the day. The girl at the front desk had to go clean the room herself and did a pretty decent job. The only thing wrong was that lancaster, pa smell which could not be helped as it got into our rental car as well. The towels were old and some of them stained. The bed seemed worn out and the pillows were small and not comfortable at all. We also had keep taking the key cards back to the front desk because the wouldnt inlock the doors. The parking lot is small and dark in some areas. The staff was very pleasant!! I definitely would go to different hotel next time as there many in the area, but would stay here again if nothing else is available. You get what you pay for!!!

The entire site needs to be upgraded, from the parking lot on up. The room was not very clean (poor housekeeping), including a dead roach under the bed, filthy a/c unit, a suspicious matress and just generally left us feeling itchy. Other patron near us had apparent substance abuse issues. There was poor lighting in the lots at night and I was pleasantly surprised my car was not broken into. My best description of the place would be a dump. We did not take advsntage of the complimentary breakfast. Someone from the home office should go there and see it.

Hotel was as expected for the price. Staff were very helpful and accommodating going the extra mile for our family.

This hotel could care less about customer service. Please do yourself a favor and stay away! I booked this hotel room to fly into Lancaster PA and visit with my family. There was an issue with security at the airport, so we inevitably missed our flight! I called the hotel and booking company right away to inform them that we will not be able to check in until the next day. I was originally told that they will not refund me for the day missed, but I can check in on the next day which is what I expected. I then received a call 15 minutes later and was told that they wanted to take that back and will be giving our room away and will not refund any money. I spoke with the manager who flat out told me that there was a golf tournament, so he could easily re-book my room with someone else to make more money. So they kept my money and made even more money by giving away all of the days that I paid for! I could not believe the horrible customer service! I will never ever go here again and I will be sure to inform everyone I know about this horrid hotel!

The window in the room was cracked and taped up so that it nearly broke when touched. The fridge did not work. The wifi did not work at first. The customer service was not the best. There is no gift shop. The pool was nice in that it was outside (for the summer months).

The beds aren't very comfortable but the staff was nice.

My room was newly refinished, but they missed a few details. Three light fixtures were missing, no rack or closet for hanging clothes and worst of all no phone. Also, the wifi was unreliable and the tv sound had a lot of static.

We arrive at the room and it is nonsmoking but reeks of cigarette smoke. As i walk to the bathroom my socks are black. the bathroom is not clean, soap scum all over and hair everywhere. the room was supposed to have a iron and ironing board it did not. I spoke to the guy at the front desk and was told they are renovating. This is the worst experience i have ever had at any hotel. the beds were uncomfortable and i could not get any extra pillows. the continental breakfast was stale.
