The house was very well-kept and clean. It was tastefully furnished and had all the expected amenities. Street parking is available outside the home, and I did not have trouble finding nearby parking spots. Unfortunately, the house is on a very busy street. The street is very noisy, but noises seem to die off after 10:30. I am not positive it happened at the residence, but my rear driver's side bumper was damaged when the vehicle was parked. This is the corner of the vehicle exposed to traffic. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until I got home.
The house is about a 20-minute walk to downtown Lancaster and the Central Market. However, if you take the most direct route, the walk is through a rougher neighborhood with uneven sidewalks and lots of litter. For future visits, I would strongly recommended walking two blocks north to W Chestnut Street before heading east to downtown. This is a little longer but a MUCH nicer walk.
In general, I wasn't expecting the house to be in such a multi-cultural neighborhood. There are lots of benefits, such as a amazing Peruvian Restaurant and a Craft Beer store close to the house. But it isn't ideal for a family with young kids.
Overall, I think this house provides a wonderful space for young adults looking for a more urban experience. I would readily recommend it to my younger coworkers and their friends. The location was less appropriate for my family with younger kids.
