This property was really lovely. The rooms were a generous size for Japan and the staff were very helpful, even walking us to make sure we knew which busstop to go to. The only downside would be that it is both a little was away from the Kyoto Station and the town centre. However the bus routes are pretty easy to make up for it. We walked from the station to our hotel with suitcases and it was not difficult.

It's an excellent hotel given the price that I payed. It's a minute's walk away from the bus line that takes you right to the Kyoto station for different connections. Also conveniently opposite to Family Mart. The location is quiet and walkable. The room was surprisingly very spacious and the service was great.

What a wonderful staff at the front desk! They taught me how to use the bus and wrote destinations in Japanese. The room was quiet and fine for my 3 nights but I kept my suitcase open on the unused side of the bed. It may have been small for two with 2 suitcases. There is no closet. The bath area was an enclosed room with a low ceiling that a tall or large person may find awkward. Away from the shopping area and subway stop, limited restaurants are nearby.

The friendly staffs, clean and good size room. It’s close to the bus stop. I like the recommended sheet of temples and gardens along with the bus stop and which bus to take to get to those places.

I certainly enjoyed my stay here (10 days) The hotel is modern, clean and well maintained. Laundry facilities on the premises and great wifi throughout the building as well as a tea service in my room. There are some key details to note: The hotel employs strict adherence to their rather late check in policy (3 o'clock) so if you arrive early to Kyoto as I did, you will find yourself wandering around the city for 5 or 6 hours before you are allowed to check in, this is a big disappointment in my view. Also, anyone 2 meters (6ft) tall or more will have trouble in the shower stall. The bathrooms are modern but they are also prefabricated inserts therefore the height of the ceiling is rather low. The location of the hotel is great, it seemed like everything of interest was within 2 kilometers i.e Kyoto Station, Nijo Castle and the Nishiki Market were all within 2 to 2.5 km so I walked everywhere. I would stay here again.

No coffee and bottled water as complimentary. And when we use the mug they never gave us a new one or a clean one after room cleaning. We stayed there for 3 days. Location is convenient though. Theres a family mart infront so we can buy bottled water.

The perfect hotel for our stay in Kyoto

Can’t stop raving about this ideal hotel; we absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful lobby, easy check in, spacious modern looking room with nice wood finish and dark blue carpet, clean bathroom, comfy beds, cute pajamas, great amenities. I wish we booked Hotel WBF for all the cities we visited in Japan not just in Kyoto.
