the breakfast buffet was a balanced mix of eastern and western breakfast foods. Everything was fresh and tasty. As for the room, the room I booked had a shower with poor water pressure and the water temperature would change without touching the knob. One of the sinks was also experiencing the same problem. We notified staff who switched us to another room (same type of room) right away and we no longer experienced the water pressure/temperature problem anymore. 10/10 breakfast and 10/10 customer service

This was such a wonderful stay for our first time in Kyoto. It really felt like a luxury experience, beautiful and very comfortable. Location can’t be beat either. Will stay again and have already recommended this hotel to family and friends.

We really enjoyed stay at this hotel. The reception ladies are very friendly and we had some welcome tea and snack which are super delicious. Room is clean, warm and functional. They have everything you need and the bath room is awesome. Location good, close to the train station, subway/bus stations and convenience store.

This is my favorite hotel in the world! It's such a beautiful, peaceful oasis in the middle of Kyoto, and an easy walk to Kyoto Station and Nishiki Market. It's right down the block from a subway station as well. The rooms are like little Japanese apartments and have such beautiful decorative touches. The spa is great, as is the high end teppanyaki restaurant.

The staff were friendly but there was a communciation barrier, oftentimes it took a while to get across what we needed or answers to our questions. The hotel was clean and was stocked with amenities. The room looked nice but for what it was priced at, could have been been even better, with more programmes on tv, the sink to be within thw bathroom space. The hotel is quite close to restaurants and kyoto station. The spa servuce was lovely, thank you to the ladies that provided the service to us.
