Hotel is in city center, as name suggests. The location is very convenient for Holiday Travelers and Business visitors, as it has the easy walkable access to public transportation and shopping malls and also the Twin Towers. Check in/ out were done very well. I had booked Executive Room on top floor. Bath Room condition was very disappointing. Flush was not working properly and wall beside bath tub needs repair. And also Bath tub drain system requires repair. Towels and Bed Linen need new replacement, as they appear to have completed their life cycle. Room Air-conditioning was not effective. The facts were brought to notice of the front office executive. He ignored my request for change of Room and explained that shortly they will be in the process of renovation. However, I appreciate the service of the House Keeping staff. Breakfast buffet has variety and tasty. The Chef and his team and also the waiters were very hospitable. Staff at concierge desk very helpful. The Bartenders at their bar were appreciable. I felt very uncomfortable, when they initially insisted for spot payment of food bill, though I brought to their notice that I am a Accor Plus member and I was never insisted in other Accor group of hotels. I was surprised for their system, though the practice in all over the world has been that all day to day bills are settled at the time of checkout, except Room tariff. But later they did not insist for spot payment. However, the service is much appreciable.
The hotel is in best location. In front of Pavilion KL, near Bukit Bintang. So, you can walking distance to a lot of good restaurant and mall. But, the room is need renovation because it looks old. Breakfast is good but the option not too much.
We have been staying in this hotel for many times due to its strategic location between Pavillion Mall & KLCC. Though the hotel is rather run down & the air con at lobby & also our room was not that cool! I noticed that the staff were more friendly now as compared with our previous visits! The breakfast was quite dull though still can be acceptable compensated by the friendliness of the staff. Not a bad place to stay when compared with the rate of other hotels nearby.
We just back from holiday. Stayed at Novotel for 3 nights Great location friendly staff very helpful The room was nice. Good breakfast The hotel near by shopping and lot of restaurants Highly recommended.
Staying at Novotel KL will definitely let you access Jalan Alor (ultimate food destination in KL), the Pavilion (just right in front), Petronas Towers (7-10 minutes walk via the air-conditioned walkway) and the Fahrenheit 88 Mall (5-7 minutes walk) for you to get your Vincci and other international brands like UniQlo, Sephora and H&M. If you are an Accor member, take advantage of the room upgrade. You'll surely love the space and view. Breakfast is good too and do not forget to try their roti and Malaysian rice! This is definitely value for your money and this for sure will be my home in KL for my future trips to Malaysia.
Stay from 30 Apr to 2 May 2017 with my family The hotel biggest star is the strategic location, just a stone throw away (<50 m) from pavilion and also to KLCC. I do enjoy my stay, the room are spacious and the bed is comfy. the breakfast was so-so, but it's ok. The staff are responsive good job will definitely choose this hotel should I travel to KL. One thing, I did not receive my point and night of accor membership during my 30 Apr to 1 May stay, I dont know why. Other than that, its the best for value hotel in Bukit Bintang area.
We've been here many times and the services are getting better day by day. Clean room, good food too especially during breakfast. Family friendly. Easy & quick access to nearby mall pavilion & klcc 💕
Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Center is very nice hotel with excellent location. It is located right behind Pavilion Shopping Mall, close to Bukit Bintang area and just within walking distance to KLCC. The hotel is quite old already, but staff are very nice and friendly.
First time to stay & had a lot of issues with this hotel. I called he reservation & asked for an early check-in & was informed that this can be arranged. Upon arrival at the hotel, we waited for more than 20 minutes. As an Accor member, there's no courtesy nor you're a priority. No difference at all. Junior Suite room was old but well maintained. An awful & unforgettable night to spend. There was an electrical short circuit inside our room, no aircon. I decided to call the front desk at once. I was able to speak to the Duty Manager after few attempts & was told that it was experienced in the entire hotel but that was not the case at all. Was not offered to move us to a diff. room only after I asked them to do. It took them more than 40 mins to settle the case before the Duty Manager decided to see us personally. It was past midnight when we settled in our new room & never heard an apology from the Duty Manager after that incident nor before we leave the hotel. Buffet spread at the executive lounge is not good & got a limited choices too. Not worthy the amount I paid for the stay. I decided to report the incident & the awful experience upon check-out the hotel & also informed Accor hotel management.
Stayed for two nights on business in April 2017. Booked through the AccorHotels website and it was nice to have my Accor status recognised on check-in. Check-in was smooth especially given my late arrival due to a severely delayed aircraft. However, things progressed downhill from there. The elevator seemed to be having problems recognising the swipe card which meant I couldn't get anywhere. When a staff member noticed they too had difficulty but got it going eventually by breathing on the card and then rubbing it on their shirt. The room was nice but in serious need of a deep clean. Tracks of dirt existed next to the skirting boards and the bath/shower had rust stains near the plug hole. The bed was very comfortable and a nice variety of pillows provided which meant for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was probably one of the best I have experienced at a Novotel. A huge array of food was provided along with a chef who offered to cook eggs and omelettes on request. The staff service was exemplary throughout and they should be commended for their positive attitude. However, what was weird was that the welcome drink on arrival only extended to water and coca-cola. No alcohol. This was odd, and I felt a bit cheap because even AccorHotels in places such as Qatar allow alcoholic welcome drinks. There were signs everywhere advising of an impending renovation. No dates were provided but it is clear that they are needed. With a room refresh and new fittings put in, this will be a 5-star stay in the future.
