Avoid. While our room itself was clean, the hallways were dirty and the windows of the doors were filthy. We didn't want to touch the doors and they had door knobs on them rather than push doors. It was really a turnoff.
I have trouble with cigarette smoke, so as usual, I requested a non-smoking room. I have never encountered a hotel with the smoke in the hallways and seeping into our room. I don't know what was going on. In addition, the photos make the rooms look much better than they actually are. Our tub had big brown stains in it and their was an unfinished space by the bathroom door.
I believe the building is also used to house the homeless, which wouldn't be a problem to us. The smoke and the dirty halls, windows and doors are just too much.
The staff did treat us well and upgraded us to a suite because they didn't have the single room available,that I had ordered, but the building is just old and not welcoming at all.
I should mention as well, that the breakfast was a real disappointment. There was no meat either of the 2 days we were there. Usually one finds some bacon or sausages. Likewise, the only eggs available were hard boiled eggs that were already peeled, so we avoided them due to food safety concerns.
All in all, we do not recommend this facility.
