Horrible Experience – Never Booking Again
This was my second time staying at Best Western Plus Cambridge, Canada. Two years ago, the experience was pleasant, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately, this time was a complete disappointment and I regret the decision.
The room was in poor condition—old, musty, and not well-maintained. The air conditioning and heating units were outdated and made loud, disruptive noises throughout the night. The bathtub looked worn out, and the toilet had very weak water pressure. Because of that, a simple tissue clog caused an overflow in the middle of the night, which was a major inconvenience.
Housekeeping was unreliable. We placed the “clean room” sign on the door, but no one ever came. It felt like basic service was being ignored. Additionally, one of the key cards provided didn’t work, which added to the frustration of an already unpleasant stay.
The only redeeming aspects were the quiet pool and the nicely designed lobby. Breakfast was okay—nothing memorable or extraordinary.
After this experience, I will never book here again and I definitely won’t recommend this hotel to friends or family. It’s disappointing to see how much the quality has declined since our last visit.
