Previously stayed here, so booked again this year. Probably won't stay again. We are not hard-to-please people, but expect to get our money's worth. We had a Queen room on the second floor, as did our friends who were traveling with us. They had a Queen bed with 2 bedside tables, which we did not. We only had one bedside table, so had to rob a side table from chair in stairwell landing. Cons: -Non smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke, so we were given a can of industrial strength spray to mask the smell. -Toilet/tub and shower room door only cleared toilet by 1/4", so we had to walk in and to the very back of the toilet to close the door. Poor room design. The sink and vanity is in the entry hallway. -Room was dark - both floor lamps didn't work, one was unplugged and one just didn't work, most likely dead bulb. -Desk clerk let us check in early, but the rooms weren't ready, which was understandable. She was clueless as to how long we might need to wait. -Desk clerk couldn't give us directions to Oatman, which is a local tourist attraction. -Hubs found a nasty dirty towel behind the headboard on the floor - ew! -Couch and chair were stained. -Breakfast eggs were round and looked like fried, but not appealing. Pros: -Lemon water and coffee in lobby - good! -Shower worked great. -Breakfast attendant very friendly, efficient and cleared our plates. -Breakfast waffles were good.
With all due respect, this is an Econolodge at best, even if they sell 100$ per night rooms. I happen to travel a lot, as a Choice Privilege member I usually wound up at one of their hotels. This particular one stands squarely in the disappointing lot. The flip side I had a room on points. Just to give an idea: I've found my room devoid of ant courtesy item (e.g. soapbar), went looking for the housekeeper and asked for them. Sure enough, she never bothered resupplying the room. Staff not particularly friendly (a smile works miracles), I've found U.S. Post offices generally more welcoming. At 9 in the morning, a housekeeper knocks on your door and tells you abruptly: "You have until 11" - evac style. That's it - no good morning, no manners. My room had worn-out furniture and didn't look particularly clean. I am aware this is a franchise-operated hotel and I wonder if Choice shouldn't consider rebranding the facility. If you are fiecely loyal to them, you might as well stay on the Econolodge close to the airport. It's quite dirty and distinctly unfriendly in my own experience, but you save 50$ and pretty much you get what you pay for. Which is not the case with this Comfort inn.
Stayed at this Comfort Inn last night. The bathroom is very very small and fan is extremely noisy. I had to go to front desk and ask for towels as there was only one set in room. Bed was only so-so. Room had good air so temp was comfortable. There was no ice in the 2 machines. Would not stay here again.
I recently stayed in this hotel, and the stay was unforgettable! The staff there was really friendly, and very patient! Comfort Inn is by far one of the cleanest hotels i have visited! Pricing was just riveting! Food is just great, the breakfast was outstanding! The pool is just right, and clean. This hotel is just AMAZING, I am definitely going to stay here again! I suggest each and every one of you guys to visit Comfort Inn too!
This hotel is very clean, and the staff is just amazing. Some of the nicest people ive ever met. Our hotel was great for the price and we really felt at home. If you're stopping through Kingman, definitely stay here!
checked in for a two night stay for our grand canyon trip.room was way smaller than seen on website also very tiny bathroom.we left to go do some sightseeing and when we returned the bathroom sink and floor were covered with ants.the next morning i tried having breakfast at the hotel made toast and left it on the table went to refil my coffee and when i returned my toast and cereal were covered in ants.hotel staff barley spoke and acted like they really could care less we were there we reported the ants to front desk and all we got was an im sorry.on the plus side the beds were really comfy. we checked out after our first night for a much cleaner hotel.for being a comfort inn this hotel was not what i thought it would be.never again here.
The location is perfect and staff is very friendly and helpful! I love friendly people and the staff here is beyond that. Grass out front if you pets. Pool and spa were amazing! I will stay here every time I pass through Kingman.
We tried to check in at the Best Western right down the road in Kingman but they practically wanted an arm and a leg for a room plus wouldn't take my government ID. We drove to the Comfort Inn and we're checked in by the nicest and friendlest man. He also said he didn't even need to see my Government ID. The price was about $35 a night cheaper also.
We don't think we will stay there again. I don't remember seeing an indoor pool. There was one outside. The guy at the desk was ok but not overly friendly, which I believe they should be when working with the public. The room seemed ok. The breakfast was pretty good. We awoke the next morning and found two dead cockroaches on the floor!! No we will not be staying there again..........................
I would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for lodging. Uninterested, "can't be bothered" service at the front desk was the highlight of my experience. The room was booked in advance as non-smoking but I should have specified, "a cleaned room that doesn't reek of generally disgusting odor." Obviously this hotel operator has a problem with motivating staff to do the basics.
