We stayed August 5-6, 2017, in room 417. The smoke detector started chirping from a low battery in the middle of the night, which was impossible to sleep through. It took a call and three visits to quiet the thing up. They said they'd see what they could do on the bill. When we left, we received no bill at all, which I thought meant it was zeroed out, which is what the Hampton Inn would have done (100% satisfaction guaranty). But a few days later I received my receipt; no discount at all. This probably will cure me of Marriott for the rest of my days. But honestly, every single room in this hotel has a ticking bomb in it that will make the room uninhabitable if it happens to go off while you're there. These are WIRED smoke detectors, so the risk of a low battery is infinitesimal. I don't think the incessant chirp is a good design for homes, but it is unconscionably bad for hotels. Have the low battery light up so that housekeeping can change it. Or have it chirp only during hours when housekeeping is likely to be in the room. The only reason I stopped at a hotel in Kingman was because I needed to sleep to be safe on the road. Springhill by Marriott did not deliver that sleep, and charged me the full rate. It probably won't happen to you, but it might.

My wife and I stayed here twice going and coming to California. I stopped in without a reservation on the way and the front desk clerk on the evening shift was friendly and accommodating. She helped me with my AAA discount and our room was quiet and clean. We stopped back in a week later and got one of 3 rooms that were left. The day shift clerk even went as far as to give us the room we had had a week before. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly. I just wish the breakfast lasted another 30 minutes because we missed it both times.

It is on Route 66 . The room was comfortable. It was nice to have the in room microwave. The 2 drawbacks, covered pool. Very loud and hot. All the other hotel on the street have outdoor pools. The hotel has 1 elevator. In the morning when you are on the top floor with luggage it takes a long time to get down or up. The free breakfast in the morning was very nice.

We checked in just before a busload of young adults were dropped off. Pool is "heated", but small for a hotel this size. Paint chipping on bottom of pool, very dimly lit. 6 of us were fine in the pool, but then 6 more came and it was too crowded so my son and I left. The room was big and had a nice sitting area but we ordered a pullout sofa bed and we got a sofa with a note on the sheets saying it was broken. 🙄5 of us shared the room and 1 wasn't very comfortable. The bathroom door and separate toilet room door were so weird. They were sliding frosted glass doors which unfortunately entertained my toddler rather unsafely as they also swung out. We didn't bother with breakfast because of that huge group, and we noticed this was a pet friendly hotel only after we checked in and heard barking from several rooms. Thankfully we were on the 3rd floor where the group and dogs were not around. We did use the guest laundry since it happened to be very close to our room.

We stopped for one night o our way to Arizona from California. The suite was very modern. It was clean and well appointed. Had a water closet separate from shower which made getting ready faster in morning. Staff was very friendly and responsive. Reasonably priced with breakfast included. Pet friendly.

Modern, clean rooms - nice place to stay while passing through on I-40. Mod vibe, very new! Would deserve 5 stars, except for several large, noisy, teen tour groups arriving after 10pm making noisy entry & ruining any chance of good night's sleep! Front desk brushed me off when I complained.

I'm in Kingman on a work assignment. While waiting for my place to become available, I stayed here. As a hospital employee, the hotel gave me a great deal on the rate. The ac was gloriously cold, and there was a lot of room to move around and get my work done in the room. It was nice and quiet most of the time, though some people will always make noise in the halls in the early morning and you can't really do anything about that since the sound travels right through the door. Same complaint for here as everywhere else. Big hotel. 2 washers and dryers. Easy parking, food nearby, never had an issue with the internet either. Which I rely on for school and work. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful all the time as well. Definitely a place I'd recommend.

On a cross country trip we stopped here and were delighted with the hotel and the welcoming service. Very convenient layout with toilet and small sink separate from shower and vanity. Nice clean pool and spa. Excellent breakfast in clean and pleasant surroundings.

Stayed here as we travel across country. We have stopped in Kingman many time but never overnight. Due to timing we need to stay over night. I didn't expect much as I figured it would be a worn out property. We were pleasantly surprise as it seemed relatively new. Everything was in good condition. The breakfast staff was outstanding. I don't think I ever witnessed anyone working as hard to keep tables clean and food items replenished. Will definitely stay again if we stay overnight.

i stay in all kinds of hotels all the time, from economy to luxury. i'm busy & i havent left a TA review in years, but the marriott springhill suites in kingman AZ is an inspiration, not in a good way. to say this place has seen better days is charitable. it's a strong contender for the shabbiest marriott property i've stayed in ever. i'm as mystified by the positive reviews as i am grossed out by the condition of my room: stained upholstery & carpet, worn-out furniture, sticky spilled beverage on headboard, broken hardware on dirty curtain, broken tv remote, paint peeling toilet seat. it takes years of neglect to achieve bathroom tile & grout so grungy --don't forget your flip-flops! chemically-smelling cleaning products dont mask funk this deep. marriott, a heads-up from an elite rewards member: this place urgently needs an intervention! nice desk staff, but what can they do, really, to make a property approaching dump status acceptable? now for the good part. the rate was $156 before taxes, highest in kingman the night i stayed. had it not been a super late check-in after a long travel day i would have left soon as i scoped the room. a rip-off & a depressing night.
