Got into room and wished we had viewed it before registering. Queen bed is actually a worn out saggy double. The pillows were so thin that I went out and bought one after the first night. Efficiency kitchen was dirty. Cupboard and drawer had spills and crud in them. The utensils were dirty. See photos. Total place was in disrepair. Light coming in around the door. Bathroom small, cramped and dirty. Kept banging my head on the curved shower curtain rod every trip to the bathroom. Overall cosmetics of the room left me with the impression that an unhandyman did the repairs. Paint overlapping onto light fixtures, caulking smeared onto holes in the tub enclosure. Clothes rod over the bed so that if it was used the clothes hung there would drape down to the bed. The continental breakfast was pathetic. Waffles were like cardboard and the selection of items was poor. Next comes the generic response from the management that all the other negative posters get.
Expected more from a Super 8 & was very disappointed. The amount that was spent for the night I'm sure you could find yourself a better place to stay. Pool entrance was locked. Room needed to have the painting finished that was started. The room was clean & had a kitchenette. The bathroom needed some serious help with regular maintenance. There are laundry facilities & an ice machine.
I stopped overnight with my son on the way to Calgary and on the way back with my Dad and son. Convenient location. If you are a light sleeper the traffic may bother you. Enjoyed the pool very much. My Dad's room had a kitchenette,so the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom. He found it difficult to rinse his mouth under the tap, and very difficult to shave. I would stay again for sure as staff was friendly and the price was right!
It was your standard motel. The rooms were clean, however the beds we got were very uncomfortable and I didn't sleep well. But all the motel beds I've slept in lately have been like this. Stay came with a free breakfast. It was simple, but all I want in the mornings is something small anyway
I am glad I stayed only the one night. Wow. Hair in the freezer/tub/sink, gross stuff like mould on the fridge racks, grime all over the tub, ketchup on the bed side table, dirt all over the wall, the ice bucket had slime/hair and dirt on it. Soooo gross. If there had been rooms available elsewhere, I would have left. I wish I would have asked for my money back in the morning but was so disgusted, I just wanted to get out of there. If I could rate this a 0, I would.
When I confirmed my reservation that I had booked through Wyndahamrewards.com I called the motel directly and asked about the washroom - I wanted an elliptical (or oval) toilet - not the small round one. I was told quite clearly that yes their washrooms were built with elliptical. I then followed up just before travel and again asked about washrooms and the toilet size. Yes - I was told it had elliptical toilets. Well... guess what... it did not. In fact not one in the entire place. Front desk lady then claims that she understood that I was asking NOT to have an elliptical and that I wanted a round. That would be like calling to ask if they did not have a pool and then being upset that they had a pool when I got there. Air Conditioner was quite dirty. Under the beds were filthy - had not been vacuumed in a very long time. Beds were EXCEPTIONALLY high. I stand 6'1" and when sitting on the side of the bed I my feet were several inches off the floor. My mother had to climb up to get into bed. Then the mattresses, if you sat on the edge collapsed so much you slid off the bed and the bed moved out from under you. So over the 4 days we were there we had to keep shifting the mattresses back into place. Washrooms very VERY SMALL. You had to go into the washroom and straddle the toilet or get into the bathtub to be able to close the door. Then you had almost no space to sit on the toilet with the door a couple inches from the side of the toilet. Rooms came with a very small 'bar' fridge and a microwave that took more than 2 minutes to heat a cup of coffee. The phone was quite dirty. The nastiest thing of all was that the shampoo containers at both the vanity sink and the back of the toilet (for the shower) were USED! Both only had about 1/2 to 1/4 of the shampoo in them. These containers were very easy to see if they had any material missing so there is no excuse. The coffee at the breakfast as terrible. Dark hot water is all it was. There is a gated outdoor pool. Parking is rough with a single lane around the back of the building that often gets blocked by people for various reasons. They can create a problem as backing up in their parking lot is problematic at best. I will not stay here again. I suggest that you only do if there are no other options.
It really needs updating but that isn't my problem. I won't use a dirty towel even if it was my own so when I when I had a shower and grabbed a towel and had black hand prints all over it, I grabbed the other one and it too had black dirt marks all over it then I was disgusted. Ended up using a hand towel to dry off with. All the guy at the front fest said was "sorry". This is one of those times I would say stay somewhere else. This has to be the worst representation for a super 8 I have ever stayed at. It's also the last time I will stay there. The A/C was loud and didn't work that good.
Booked direct as our normal place was full due to fires. Room was less than adequate: pillow cases missing, stains on bed spread, A/C not working properly, door to "suite" had gaps in places and daylight shining through. The offered a free breakfast but considering what we had experienced and the state of the room we passed. For what we paid it was WAY OVERPRICES.
We were displaced with our dogs during the bc wildfire evacuations and this hotel made room for not just us but our family and pets as well! An older hotel but clean and great pillows!
We found our room clean and quiet. The bathtub and shower curtain wasn't very clean, but otherwise the room was fine. The beds were comfortable enough for one night. The breakfast is ok as long as you are not on a special diet. They did have some fruit and boiled eggs, but my friend who can't have wheat didn't have much she could eat. My daughter enjoyed the pool.
