This was our second time staying at your facility and once again loved it! We find it such a nice little get away spot! The rooms have been very clean, front desk has been over and above awesome, both times it has been the manager Hero at the desk. Staff has been very friendly. We will for sure be back, no doubt!
It was an easy decision to book this Quality Inn for our family's frist trip to Kamloops. One traveller had mentioned that the General Manager (Owner), Hero Parikh, cared enough to work in weekends so the staff can take a break. To me, that act alone IS quality. I was right. This Quality Inn Kamloops has everything I need as a traveller, in the right price. Location is walking distance ("in winter") close to food & gas, bright and safe neighbourhood. Facility: bright, spacious and clean lobby, common area/breakfast room, hot pool, rest room Room: bright, spacious and clean; very comfortable pillow-top bed with 4 pillows (standard of 4*/ 5* accommodation), responsive in-room-temperature unit, generous hangers and outlets, fast wi-fi; all amenities as stated in their website are present and functioning. *We were upgraded to a bigger room with kitchenette from a 2-queens room. The room size is 1.5 larger with a divider for the 2nd queen bed. Although the bathroom size is small compare to the room size, I like this smart touch: a magnet to the shower curtain so that it sticked to the bath-tub, keeping it in place; solving the problems we usually found in the shower-curtain-tub combination bathrooms. The breakfast surprisingly include 2 kinds of eggs (cheese omellette & boiled); another pleasant surprise is one of those upscale espresso/latte/cappuccino machine usually found in 4*/5* establishment - that is in addition to 3 kinds of cereal, bread, muffin, waffle, sausage, fruit juice. Quite a generous spread in that price range. Most important, the atmosphere: safe and cozy. We felt welcome from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Thank you, Hero and all the Quality Inn Kamloop staff, for giving us a beautiful memory of our first Kamloops visit.
My daughter and I were traveling through the area and had pre-booked the Quality Inn in Merritt, BC, an hour down the road from Kamloops. We found the trip took much longer than anticipated and we would be driving a high mountain pass in the dark tp make our reservation in Merritt. We called the Quality Inn in Kamloops and Kevin, the front desk attendant, called the Merritt location for us and arranged to transfer our reservation. We were so relieved and grateful not to have to drive in the dark down the Coquihalla Highway. We had a nice, clean room with all of the amenities and a great breakfast the next morning included! Thank you for everything!
I needed a place to stay for close to two months while I worked in Kamloops and could not have been more pleased having chosen this hotel! From the moment I walked in to the day I left, Kevin Bailey, Hero and Sandra truly made me feel like this was my home away from home. Being alone in a new city for such an extended period of time can be a lonely experience, but when I came back to the hotel after work each day I was welcomed like an old friend! I stayed in several rooms throughout my stay and each one was spotless, spacious and had everything I needed. The free breakfast every morning was hot and delicious, with a wide variety of options. Kevin and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my every need and request. Whenever I stay in Kamloops in the future this is the only hotel I will be staying at!
We stayed at the Quality Inn Kamloops 29.09.17 having driven from Vancouver. The welcome from Kevin was truly exceptional. After checking in we asked about the guest laundry facility. This was day 9 of our trip and we had a case of dirty washing. Kevin explained the guest laundry was out of order but no problem, we could use the housekeeping faciilties. Not only did he supply the powder; but recommended a great place for dinner and told us to go off and eat whilst the clothes were in the washing machine. On our return, he supervised the use of the enormous dryer. It was just like staying with a long lost friend. Needless to say, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast more than adequate. If all hotels had a Kevin the world would be a better place. In fact, If I was the chief executive of Quality Hotels I'd make Kevin my training director.
My husband and I held our son's first birthday party in one of the event rooms the Kamloops Quality Inn offers. The event was a huge hit with our 20+ guests! The room was spacious, modern and impeccably clean. The rental price included many extras that I would have never imagined including help with set up, take down, complimentary hot and cold beverages for our guests, ample tables and chairs and use of common storage areas (for cake, coats etc) - a great value for your dollar! I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel staff consistantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. I cannot recommend their welcoming, professional services enough. Save yourself the hassle of comparing next time and book the Quality Inn for your next event. You won't be disappointed!
The front receptionist, Kevin Bailey, was so very helpful and saved us a great deal of stress. We had checked into another hotel and quickly realized we couldn't stay there because it was too run down and dirty. Kevin helped us resolve this issue with the internet provider and get our refund back, as well as treated us with kindness and went out of his way to serve us. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality Kevin Bailey!!! The hotel also allowed us to bring guests into the breakfast room for a visit. I would recommend this place to anyone for their great hospitality.
We stayed at this location on 2 separate occasions in October/17 - one stay for 6 nights, another for 5 nights. In both instances we were very satisfied - with the location, the room, the staff, and the complimentary breakfast. The rooms were comfy and clean for the most part, and the breakfast was one of the best we have encountered in our travels. The only (minor) downside was our second room was a bit odorous for the first night - we believe from some deodorizer trying to mask the smell leftover from some previous situation. The room rate was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the included breakfast. One further note: it was very quiet, even on our second stay when it was full of busloads of people.
In Kamloops overnight for a celebration of life for a family member. We booked online at Trivago that afternoon with zero issues. Needless to say that we were pretty tired (drove all day from Victoria directly to the gathering); our late check in was easy and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly. We were two adults and two kids in a room with two queen beds, and now the kids didn't want to share a bed. The front desk gentleman quickly and efficiently set us up with an additional bed, and everyone was happy. Free breakfast was also very good... I think there may have been a convention of sorts for young adults in town, so there were some noises issues (and we were on the first floor near the lobby) but they were settled pretty quickly and beffore 11:00pm. Great value!!
Convenient for the highway. Access to the lot a little complicated. Free breakfast is served late so if you have to get going you cannot take advantage of it. Front desk staff seem to have multiple duties so are not always there, you have to go looking for them. Room was clean and quiet.
