This was my first stay at this hotel in Kamloops. It was great, accommodations were very nice. Staff went above to help and all seemed happy and very polite. I will stay again and I will let go workers and others know this also. A side note if you are like me and can't stand the large fluffy pillows hey kink your neck and you cannot get a good sleep. Ask - the second night k did and went for dinner and by the time I got back to my room there was wkd earful smalle thin pillows waiting for me to have an amazing sleep after that!!
A wonderful location. The rooms are first class. Quiet air conditioning. Very comfortable bed and lovely bedding. The staff were most helpful through out our stay. Very reasonable room rate given it was in the middle of the summer, on a very busy weekend in Kamloops.
Professional and fun staff. The pool is our kids' favourite. The food at Blue has always been outstanding. Great value for our suite as parking and breakfast were included. Our only choice for accommodations in Kamloops!
This hotel has a nice location but rooms are nothing special. It was clean but our room overlooked the roof so not appealing. They do have a nice pool area and hot tub and you can order food from that area. Towels are provided at the pool. It is still smoky in Kamloops with all the wildfires.
rolled in to kamloops late and found this little gem of a hotel. tired after travelling all day and the staff was excellent. beyond excellent. never stay anywhere else, the restaurant/pub staff was phenomenal and the pool/jacuzzi is a treat!
Overnighted during a Rocky Mountaineer trip. Nice comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Upon arriving in room, there was a lovely birthday greeting from Shannon, the front office manager. Only issue was wildfire smoke that blanketed Kamloops.
We stayed here on our overnight on the Rocky Mountaineer. We were greeted with welcome drinks. This is not a fancy hotel but the rooms were comfortable.I was so tired after 12 hours on the train I really didn`t notice much about the hotel or the city of Kamloops.
We stayed just one night in the Hotel 540, and a time when the wildfires meant that Kamloops wasn't at its best. The location is excellent, though the smoke kept us from going out far. The room was clean and comfortable for one night, though it would have felt a little cramped for longer. The bathroom similarly was clean but unexciting, and clearly designed with an eye to labour-saving more than luxury. So far I could have been describing any one of a large number of formula hotels around the world. What made the difference here (and accounts for the rating) was welcoming staff who offered a glass of lemonade, and seemed genuinely interested rather than going through the motions. So the people make it.
This was a fantastic hotel - people were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was the best we have had in Canada so far !! Amazing breakfast served to requirements. My only negative is the location - the hotel is right in the centre of the high steeet with not much to do nearby - although the local park is a short walk away with some amazing views
For our first visit in Kamloops, we were impressed with the hotel standing. Very good customer service, parfait location with a underground parking and a very good restaurant. The highlight of the stay is the rooftop pool, and the fitness centre ( 5 stars)
